Hi community!
I have a problem with my x2 pro. In September 2021 i took a photo and the phone shut down. Completely dead and bricked. It won't react and won't turn on. It only gets a little warm when leaving it plugged in. Already tried basically everything. It kind of detects it in EDL mode (sometimes only 15 seconds). How would I try to recover data? There are important things on the internal storage and I don't know what to do. On oneplus I saw that msmtool can extract partitions but not on realme? Are they all encrypted? What if I solder the UFS chip on another x2 pro? Any tips? Realme service doesn't help at all

Hello! Unfortunately I dropped my Asus Zenfone 5 Ze620kl, in a drain full of water, and I managed to recover it.
Now the problem is that it turns on, but the screen is black.
I should recover the photos that are of the device, but if I connect it to the PC, the cell phone sees me, but it sees it empty, USB debugging is probably not active.
Is there any way to enable it? I read to install the Android Software Development Kit (SDK), on the PC, but then I am stuck there ... is there a step / step guide or someone who could advise me how to do it?
Thanks!
My Xiaomi note 9s does not turn on, not charging, can't get it in fastboot and basically it has no life at all
Please help if you can
Cheers
Can you give any more information?
Specifically what was happening just before it died?
Was it in use at the time or did you turn it off (and find it wouldn't turn back on)?
Was the battery fully charged or could it have shut down after being fully depleted?
Had you recently done anything unusual with it? (Rooted it or taken it swimming maybe?)

Cheers for your reply mate
I don't know its history..
It looks immaculate and new but won't turn on
So wondering if anyone had any idea about getting it working
Tried the combo buttons to restart..
Etc
Nothing dead!
Sorry dude - it's not sounding good
Not meaning to pry, but how did you come by it? Without any clues as to what's screwed it it's hard to know how to put it right
You might try leaving it on charge for a day then try to restart with it still plugged in (worked with a moto g5 I used to have that was dead after totally discharging)
Could get the adb drivers on a pc and see if it is detectable?
Failing that I'd guess it's probably knackered I'm afraid - my poco F1 is in the same shape. "Needs a new motherboard", said a guy in a repair shop - not really worth the repair

Hi people, i have a huawei p30 pro for 1 year and the other day my screen I broke it, I buy new online and the back glass also then I follow a tutorial on YouTube how to change screen, I open the front screen then the back glass and when I wanted to remove the battery I dint follow the instruction 1 2 3 just 3 directly and the battery broke down and the smelling was disgusting, I search on internet for a batteryi buy one and is not for my phone they send me other type of battery 3900 mAH, then I search second hand huawei to buy and I dint found the p30 pro but the mate 20 pro on internet they say is the same battery, so I buy the mate 20 pro I extract the battery I put on my p30 pro and when power on:: says huawei and then phone shuts down, I wipe data and factory reset succefull but the phone still not passing the boot message from huawei just shutdown its very strange its posible if someone know there is a encryption with batteries or something like that? Pls I can't get my head clear and I spend a lot of money only to change the screen of my huawei and now it's not working... Plss
As long as it's the right battery that shouldn't be the issue.
Try a hard reboot (disconnect the battery).
It maybe:
Loose or damaged micro ribbon connector.
Damaged hardware (unconnected assemblies can be damaged by ESD) or otherwise damaged.
Firmware data is corrupted; reflash firmware.

same problem here...it happened to me three times in a row so i think damaged hardware can not be the problem since i did everythink very carefully. I think maybe the screen could have caused a brick of the phone...the battery is not the problem since i have the same think with original battery! also i tried with original (cracked) screen afterwards and it still was the same problem. did you try update via OTG?
I've got the solution! It is a bettery issue...I had three phones with exact the same problem (no boot after display and bettery change), after inserting the old battery all the phones appeared to be working just fine. Try to put in the old battery and reboot. Good luck
yes its the battery you are right , but how can we change battery ? its 100 on the huawei store

i have buy the battery from the idoc website now im waiting to come and test it
The idoc battery seems to work very good, I think problem was the official battery
Thanks to everyone helping me, when I connect the battery from idoc website the phone just started normally
I had an other p30 pro with a broken battery. I replaced it with the one from Idoc website but still it wont boot up. Since i've already reppaired plenty of p30 pro i'm pretty sure that nothing was damaged. Any suggestions? Thank you
Hello, guys!
So, two days ago I just checking my phone left on the table, a notification arrived, when I unlocked it, the phone turned off and has never returned. It has around 22% battery, and I have been using it for only 7 months. There was no physical damage (cracks, water damage, etc) or overheating. The phone (chinese market with global rom) was updated to the last MIUI 13 OTA around one week ago.
The phone:
- Wont turn on (none of the buttons combo work/ no fastboot)
- No sign of charging using any charger, neither through wireles or usb
- My PC doesnt recognize the usb connection at all
Since I had to import it, the warranty is long gone. Ive read about shorting the testpoint for getting into EDL mode. I just bought the tools and gonna try to do it and contact the telegram guy again (he told that he can only help me when I get the usb working).
I am really disappointed with this. I have a 6 years old Mi 4C and a 4 years old Xiaomi A1 and they both still work, never expected a phone to be gone so fast and completely by itself.
Since I lack hope on making the EDL work, is there anything else I can do?
Every thread I read, people at least can get their USB to work.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I've found a lot of information on this happening to Pixel 3's a while ago, but not as much out there for samsungs.
My S20 FE black screened yesterday and wouldn't reboot. When plugging into a computer it shows up as Qualcomm HS-USB Qloader (now that I have the drivers installed for it)
Is there anything I can reasonably due to unbrick this? EDL.PY does recognize my phone, but I also can't seem to find the firehose files that may or may not exist for the s20.
why F around, it could be a failing component or a bad connection on the board. get it looked at.
