General [CLOSED]LineageOS 19 - Google Pixel 5a

Just dropped about 10min ago for the 5a....in case anyone was waiting patiently for like the past 5 months now also..

https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/barbet/upgrade says you need to be on Android 12 to upgrade to LineageOS 19.
If you are on LineageOS 18.1, does that mean you have to wipe & go back to stock, then flash Lineage 19 or can you straight up slideload 19?

I'd just go to Google's online flash tool and hit it with 12/12L stock with disabled ver.'s & no bootloader lock.
It says you also shouldn't be higher than 12 but I flashed(after wipe/format) from A13DP2 and runs perfect so...

You can go straight from 18.1 to 19.1, they ship firmware in the image

I just updated from 18.1 straight to 19.1 via Lineage Recovery and adb. Just sideload the 19.1 ZIP file and reboot to recovery and then sideload Gapps and Magisk and reboot to system. The instructions for this are on LineageOS' site also in extremely specific and clear detail. Follow this and you should be just fine.

Question How to install AospExtended-v9.1-I006D-OFFICIAL-20220510-1943.zip

Hi
When installing the new image
AospExtended-v9.1-I006D-OFFICIAL-20220510-1943.zip
I get again a ramdump error when I try to boot the Zenfone 8 after the installation -- just like when installing the previous release from march. After installing the image the Zenfone does not boot anymore -- not from any of the slots and also not into the recovery mode. The only thing that still works is booting into fastboot mode and I must reinstall the phone from scratch using the raw image for Android 11.
So I seems to be doing something wrong ... what is the correct process to install this image?
I tried installing the image using the recovery from Aospextended 9.0 and also using the recovery from Lineage 18.1 and Lineage 19.1 --nothing worked. Using OTA to install the image does also not work.
The only Aospextended image I was able to install successfully was the first Image from February:
That image could be installed via sideload using the recovery image of Lineage 18.1
Any help is appreciated.
regards
Bernd.
From what I've experienced; the ramdump issue seems to happen when trying to boot into an OS/Recovery that is calling for a different firmware version than what is on your current device.
For example:
- My Zenfone 8 is running Lineage 19, which requires the Android 12 firmware.
- If I flashed Lineage 18, which requires Android 11 firmware, I get ramdump, until I flash the proper firmware.
The links below are from the Asus' website.

Thanks for the hint -- I got the same error while first installing AospExtended . Therefor now I always first install the original Android 12 image from ASUS and then the AospExteneded. That approach does work for the first version of AospExtended on the ASUS Zenfone ( I did that now more then one time...)
But it does not work with AospExtended images from March and May .

Bernd

Hi again
I have now managed the installation using this procedure:
- Install the raw image of the original Android 12 for the device (from the links in your message)
- install the vendor_boot image and the boot/recovery image from LineageOS 18
- install AospExtended 9.x via sideload from within the recovery
Lessions learned are:
installing the a raw image of the original Android 11 and updating to the original Android 12 is different to installing a raw image of Android 12.
Thanks again for the hint -- now I only wait for a AospExtended 9.1 image without GAPPS
regards
Bernd

Galaxy s10 G973F/DS lineage OS 19.1 not booting

Hello everyone,
I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems when installing lineage OS 19.1 on the galaxy s10 (SM-G973F/DS). I followed precisely the steps from the documentation (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/beyond1lte/install) but lineage os will not boot. The error shown on the device after trying to boot Lineage OS is : "Can't load android system. Your data may be corrupt."
My initial goal was to setup Lineage OS 19.1 with Mind the Gaps from the official website https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=322935.
I tried the following several times:
* Wiping the phone several times and installing different lineageOS nightly builds with different versions of Mind the Gapps. -> Did not work
* Wiping the phone and installing lineage OS without mind the gapps. -> did not work
* I tried both ways with windows and linux -> did not work
* I installed the newest firmware with odin and through the stock roms capability to update the system -> still, same result
I google a lot and could not find any s10 owners, experiencing the same problems. Maybe anyone of you guys has a clue.
Thanks in advance.

I not installed with Heimdall. I don't know about it.
The first make Backup all what you have on Android.
I downloaded last Build for my phone. https://download.lineageos.org/beyond1lte
I downloaded latest Firmware for SM-G973F https://lineage.linux4.de/fw_update/beyond1lte.html and I installed this with ODIN.
I installed this Gapps http://downloads.codefi.re/jdcteam/...MindTheGapps-12.1.0-arm64-20220605_112439.zip
I installed Lineage Recovery with ODIN https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/re...lineage-19.1-20220909-recovery-beyond1lte.img
Recovery.img convert to .tar with 7zip. Right-click on Recovery.img, in the context menu select 7zip and in the drop-down menu select 'Add to archive'. When the window opens, select tar at the top and click OK at the bottom. and that's it.
Lineage OS and Gapps paste on SD Card.
Firmware and Recovery use in BL slot. The first install firmware. After install firmvare, again open download mode adn use Recovery tar in BL slot. ODIN open as Administrator. In Option switch off Auto Reboot. Click on Start. When it's done, press the Power + Volume Down keys together. When the black screen appears, press the Power + Volume UP + Bixby keys together. Hold until Lineage Recovery opens. In recovery, go to Factory reset and the other two reset options. In Recovery, choose to install from the SD card, if the no and yes options appear during the installation, choose yes and wait for everything to finish. After that, choose to install from the SD card again and choose to install Gapps. After these installations, if you are asked to accept the upgrade, accept it. After that, select Reboot system now in Recovery and wait for everything to finish.
Thanks again for replying. It looks like the Gapps 12.1 did the trick. In the next days I will finish the installation.

How would I upgrade from rooted LineageOS 19.1 to rooted LineagesOS 20?

Since the new version upgrade from LineageOS 19.1 to 20 requires a full update (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/hotdogb/upgrade), how would I make sure Magisk is updated without having to factory reset?
I'm running 19.1 with Gapps Nano and Magisk 25.2
You'll have to download the boot (recovery) image from your device's download section and patch/manual flash it after you're done updating to LOS 20. Pay attention to the update instructions - you'll need to reboot to recovery after installing LOS 20 and sideload your preferred gapps zip again, before doing anything else!

Samsung A605FN Booting in Odin Mode After flashing GSI

Hello, ive been trying to download a GSI for like 3 days but it seems impossible because it keeps booting me into Odin Mode everytime. Heres the steps i did:
1. Go into Odin Mode
2. Flash TWRP
3. Format Data
4. Wipe Dalvik ,Cache, Data,System
5. Flash the Android 13 (i also tried with the LineageOS one too)
6. reboot to recovery
7. Flash Magisk
I have tried not flashing Magisk but it just puts me in infinite boot
Use older Android versions, for Android 13 you need probably fixed/updated vendor. Follow this guide.
