Hi, I need to ask for help, I have 2 brand new phones that work ok, 4gb ram and 64 storage, and I need to update them, but:
1.- Phone's model, baseband and software version: Model: SM-M205'M', Andoird 8.1.0, Samsung experience 9.5 Baseband M205MUBU1ASD3 Build Number:M1AJQ.M205MUBU1ASD3
2.- Back Sticker: Model SM-M205'M'
3.- But, download mode: Product Name: SM-M205F, Current Binary: Custom, KG State: Checking. OEM Lock: OFF, Secure downloading: Enabled, Carrier ID: MID, CCIC= S2MU004
4.- Odin "M" firmware, fails in pit, every single one, even combination using bit1 and bit2 firmwares, and even reading pit or extracting the open pit from firmware
5.- Manual Update: Failed to update software/ The operation system on your device has been modified in an unauthorized way. Try downloading software updates using Smart switch on your computer or visit a customer service center. (Smart switch: No update available)
So how to update as M version and not F version, allegedly non rooted as being new, out of the box and how to change the product name, as software, box and back sticker?
if you search the imei info in servers, it states that is a SM-M205F.
Thank you.

This is telling me that the "M" version was flashed on to it (with or without root?)
Have you tried flashing the "F" version firmware?

Hi, thank you for your attention. Yes indeed, the phones are F, if their Product name on download is F, but M box, M back sticker and M full software, non rooted,
I do think that F firmware, will be the best option, but how they managed to flash it like that, firmware from one version on another product name version, without root, so I can replicate it, if needed, because of the LTE differences between F and M, or to reverse it if anything goes wrong.
But in Service provider SW version: OJM region MID, but it is Middle East and SM-M205F is the model according to it?

Hi, after flashing several F versions without issues, I was able to update to the last using smartswitch but at the end, the phone's software went smooth, but if you try to update from menu, the same failed message even after successfully done with smartswitch, and the worst, no signal, afterwards, and the other phone with the M version has signal with both sims from different operators but only one receives calls, the problem is that the one updated is now in Bit8 as SM-M205F, and has signal, imei status ng and MIPI test success, as the other in *#0011#, but can not register on both networks.

MrMike is correct.
You say "current version" yet they are all different variants, for which we can't advise what filmware you need. It should only be one variant, not 3...
As your phone is a marriage of parts, updating it may brick the phone.
Stick with it or get a full refund.
Hello,
Sorry if this has been asked, but i can't seem to find the same question anywhere else.
I have a Samsung Galaxy A715F/DS (vietnam) branded International Unlocked Phone, but i live in the USA... I see many firmware updates for this phone at SamMobile site, Is there a firmware i can use that will allow the phone to be more compatible for the USA use? and is it possible to flash a different country firmware with the same model number on this phone instead of using the Vietnam version? i'm well familiar with flashing firmwares, i'm just not familiar with different county firmware updates. Help please any suggestion or advice would be appreciative. Thank you

And what exactly is "the USA use"? You use it sideways over there?
Have the same version of the phone with XME (Malaysia) firmware installed. Try out the firmware TGY (Hong Kong) and no problem encounter. The only different is that different countries have their own type of software packages. Hope this help.

Samsung apps are based on the country code of your firmware. I'm interested in changing Samsung Pay so MST works because right now I am on UAE firmware and MST did not work when registering with the UAE version of the app. My rewards/offers for SPay are also in their currency, not US, so for now I am using Google Pay because I don't want to wipe my phone and try a bunch of different firmwares. Samsung's country codes make all this very complicated.
If someone has found a firmware compatible with USA Samsung Pay and US Samsung apps, please share.
Good day! Could somebody help me with my A715F/DS? After I updated via OTA, it bootloops and all other firmware from SamMobile is not working though ODIN - PASS but after reboot, the bootloop issue still exist. I attached all the firmware I used to flash via ODIN.

Can anyone here help please. I have the SOC 8gb ram A71 and it has the Turkey firmware. I have downloaded Android 11 UK witch I want to use.. If I install it does it do any with the IMEI cause if it changes I will have to pay import tax as they will think I got it from the UK.
I’m wondering if the oxa csc code is a good one to switch to
So I've been stuck on November update since forever, I check every day for new updates but nothing.
Is anyone having the same issue?

Are you using a device which wasn't offered by your service provider? You may need to flash different firmware.
Did you flash your current FW, or did you receive it via OTA? What is your phone's CSC?
If you flashed it earlier, flash again. If not be patient....

I've never flashed anything, I'm using the phone as I bought it about a year ago. I travel a lot though, so I change sim cards quite frequently.
My CSC is G998BOXM3BUK8

Changing SIM-cards regularly could be the cause...
What is shown under software version under phone info - software details - software version provider? (Or similar menu names) See attached SS.
You could consider flashing latest FW. This threat provides all info...

Thanks I'll check the thread.
Here is the service provider info
According to overview on sammobile.com your firmware is indeed up to date for CSC TPA (Panama).

Thanks a lot for checking mate!
Panama! I was not expecting that lol
I guess I'll wait for a few days before I flash a new firmware.
Hi
I have S20 FE 4G Snap (SM-G780G/DS) with XID original firmware (never rooted, no warranty void bit, Samsung Official software). Since today big OTA update Google Pay says: "Your device doesn't meet security standards"
Where is the problem? New XID Samsung firmware lost certification?
In download mode my phone says: RPMB fuse Set - but I don't know is this normal state
Anyone has a similar problem too?

if you've not rooted or unlocked it's gonna be an issue with the app. google to seeif other nonroot users are also having trouble, if they are google will fix it.

I find source of trouble (probably) but can't solve it for now.
I have G780G XEO version (Poland). I reflash it with CSC change - XID version (for native call recording). Everything was ok (it updates via OTA several times) until last OTA - my phone gave version G780GXXU3CVH3 (XID) but this version force change to original CSC and now phone show version EUX/XEO. I can flash XEO version but Samsung made different version ended with H1 (instead of H3). If I flash it without reset my data - phone shows as certified, but cellular not working
I can reflash clear XEO but I can't lost my config for now. So I can't fast solution for now
Any ideas?
hmm I thought you could enable native call recording the majority of Samsung roms, I didnt think you needed to change the CSC.
That said is google pay really needed, specially when you have contactless cards now.
Could you tell me how I can do it? XEO don't have native call recording...
I've bought this phone second hand online a year ago and I thought since it's not declared as stolen on IMEI it would be fine.
From what a guy told me it's from france so it's probably connected to a carrier from there, but I haven't figured out how to check myself.
I'd like to know if there any way to get the update without breaking functionality of the phone, like google pay, bluetooth or other issues i've usually had with rooted phones in the past.

It's worth mentioning I tried updating using smart switch and it didn't work.
you can download firmware suitable for your location and flash it with Odin all without triggering Knox, you can even keep your apps but with such a big jump your cache will need wiping afterward from recovery.
if you look in settings / about phone / software info / service provider software version. you should see 3 letters being listed there 3 times. that your (current) CSC code, googling that will tell which network or country the phone is from. you also need to find out the CSC version you want to download for your country. don't pick a CSC for your network, pick for your country.
Looks like your carrier tag is SFR, so if you search for firmware with model: SM-G781B and country: SFR, you will find firmware for it with Android version 13.
You can use:
