Hi,
I have the Mi 9T Pro global (not EU, China or India), and the only ROMs I have been able to boot are Xiaomi.eu. I've tried flashing HAVOC, Syberia Project, Evolution X and C-Droid following their instructions, the results are always the same: black screen, and TWRP becomes unaccessible, even if I try reflashing TWRP from Fastboot, it won't let me. Then I have to boot into Fastboot and flash stock ROM using Mi Flashing Tool, and flash TWRP from Fastboot again. What am I missing?

At the point where you normally wipe data, dalvik and cache, before installing the ROM, try formatting data instead and wipe the other 2.

I tried formatting data, as it is part of the instructions of one of the ROMs I tried to flash, no success.

What version of TWRP are you using? If you're using something different then try 3.3.1-15 from here. https://forum.xda-developers.com/k2...icial-twrp-xiaomi-redmi-t3944363/post79823568

Exactly the latest one from mauronofrio, no other, as I even tried flashing Orange Fox and it never got into it, forcing me to reflash stock again to flash mauronofrio's TWRP.
I followed instructions from the ROMs I tried, none of them seem to work.

Same here. I can install eu miui roms but cannot install any aosp based roms. Goes straight back to fast boot. Went back to using eu miui roms as of now.
Can anyone suggest what is going wrong. Seems like once you install an EU rom you cannot go back to any aosp roms.
I'm thinking about the vendor. I remember a post saying that our firmware or vendor are weird and try to revert to stock, and need to be patched. But I can't find that post anywhere. I've tried all suggestions: format /data, flashing Magisk, flash ROM and GAPPS and wait for boot to complete to flash Magisk (never got that far).

Solved. The issue is with the vendor files. I've flashed fastboot chinese rom and then installed aosp rom and it worked.

Also, is there any risk to brick or lose bands if flashing a Chinese vendor on a global phone? I don't want to lose the only LTE band in my country (700 b28)

No you won't lose any bands. Same as you don't gain bands when flashing a global ROM on a Chinese/Indian phone
Hi!
I'm new here and doing some research on flahing pixel experience rom on redmi 4 santoni running on miui 11 based on android nougat.
I've read and watched videos through several guides. I am not sure about flashing lazy flasher.
Now, I know that it disable dm Verity while flashing new custom ROM in Redmi 4 santoni.
Is it necessary to flash lazy flasher along with TWRP image while trying to install the custom ROM after successfully rebooting TWRP recovery without starting miui 11?
Thanks, in advance!

I've flash a lot of custom roms, never flash lazy flasher. So I think you don't need it.

When I read TWRP installation procedure for my Redmi 4X device in the official website twrp.me they warned me, "This device uses dm-verity!
This means that swiping to allow system modifications will prevent you from being able to boot if you are using the stock kernel. In order to bypass dm-verity's boot prevention, you will have to install a kernel that has dm-verity disabled in the fstab".
Videos tutorial for Redmi 4X are also suggesting for and flashing lazy flasher in order to avoid bootloop in this device.
Also, does this lazy flasher permenantly disable DM Verity of a device? Is it safe to use?
I just don't want to root my device.
Try without lazy flasher. Its hard to brick this device. Only unlock bootloader and do the rest things to flash custom rom.
When it comes to twrp use orangefox

Sorry Im new in xiaomi modding,is there a way to flash gsi without twrp?,can I flash gsi from fastboot?
yes, via fastboot. the command is flash system system.img (replace system with the name of the rom). connect to nippon gsi telefram Channel. you can find a large choice of ported rom from xiaomi devices. but i'm not sure vendor are fully compatibile with mediatek. but you can try. flashing system don't damage the bootloader. so you can reflash easy stock in case of problems

You tried it first???
no... my phone is 3 days old. First i want to test miui. and i think this phone will recive miui 13. so at now i don't want to do heavy modding. only debloating. i like miui. aosp rom have bored me. on my old mi A3 i have try many gsi also android 12 beta. but mi a3 is not an mtk phone. so the only way to know if gsi works is try. i'm quite sure that many gsi will boot. i think the gsi much compatible are note 8 ported
Installed android 12 gsi via dynamic system update. Requires a unlocked bootloader.
Note that my phone has dm-verify corrupt on boot, but still works. The dsu loader seems to be functional. You would have package custom gsi's to load via dsu.
But being able to duel boot std ROM + gsi ROM is a win

Can you try to flash only gsi ROM?
if dsu work well, is the best safe way to try a12. great tips!!!!! sometimes gsi are not fully compatible with vendor. and in particular MTK devices are not modding phones. 99,9% of dev hare on snapdragons. maybe if xiaomi will launch more mtk devides out of China, the situation could change. But in my opinion MIUI don't need to be modded. only debloated and unlocked. Our phone sure will recive miui13 based on A12. I have tryed aosp beta, and the dynamic theming is a fantastic function. implemend on miui will make this rom super cool

use command fastboot flash system... or via twrp (twrp touch don't work but you can use twrp manager in pc terminal with phone connected via usb). internet is full of guide how to flash gsi via twrp. if you like aosp rom try android 12 beta. or dot os. new 5.2 is out. the system ui is very cool. and official gsi for all android go out soon

because you flashed a bad full rom with boitloader locked. i suppose a china rom. all guide are clear "Unlock bootloader before"
using a gsi is safe to prevent big damage. because flash only system partition. probably you didn't read guide with attention. modding must do carefully. i suggest you reflash stock in edl mode. is the only solution

Hi. I have a Redmi 9T and I want to install a custom OS. But I'm not sure if I should install either the juice version or lime version ROM. Is there any difference between them? Is there any way for me to check which is my device?
Juice is just a unified version, which means either you have a poco m3 or redmi 9t device you can install the rom.
Juice = lime, lemon, pomelo, citrus

Yes, at least that was it's intended to.
But sometimes it do have some bug, because most devs are on poco m3, they do call for 9t testers though before releasing.

Have you tried to format data?
Or flash dfe?
Do clean flash
using ofox recovery

2) flash rom
3) format data

4) flash dfe and reboot
Do step 4 if your device's stuck in unli reboot to redmi logo.

No need to install twrp. It is enough to flashed the patched by Magisk boot.img. What version of miui do you have, 13 or 14?
Already exists a non-TWRP recovery (by @santoshhh000) for Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G (MIUI 14.0.10) (ruby/rubypro). The steps and files are in this link from youtube channel AllTricks. Follow carefully every step in the video.
It is called BEGONIA Recovery Project MIUI v3.7.0 A12.
I have successfuly installed the recovery and later rooted the device (with a inner procedure inside the recovery, based on Magisk) and everything is fine except that the backup operation of the Data partition (excl. storage) inside recovery fails at 80%., aproximately. I hope @santoshhh000 will fix that error soon. Nonetheless I am quite pleased with that recovery as a beginning.
