New Member Rick - Introductions

Hello all,
My name is Rick. I've been raised with a laptop in my hand from the mid 90s to making towers, fixing droids & iphones (back when the 3g came out & the HTC Dream). I've rooted before thanks to xda. I've flashed many roms. I have basic knowledge of software and advanced repair for hardware. I'm on the galaxy line-up after a short hiatus with the pixel. I look forward to collaborate with anyone and everyone that may need/offer help. Super excited to be involved!

Back after some time :)

Hey, my name is Stefan.
I've first used ROM's published here on my first Smartphone (pretty sure it was a HTC Desire HD) and learned how to backup, root, flash kernels, firmware and rom's from alle the awesome people willing to help out.
Now I'm getting back into modding some android devices and working a lot on learning on Raspberry Pi..
My skills and understanding might be called very interested programming layman with some technical knowledge (actually my father is the code genius in our family)
All in all, interested in pretty much all new tech-developements and willing to help, if and where I can
Greetz and thanks for your great work!
Glad to see you back on XDA! The HTC Desire was a classic device! Enjoy the forums development, etc.!
Cheers

Hello and welcome aboard!

Hello!

Hey folks,
I'm Tony! Glad to join the community. I've known about XDA since I tried to root my first Android phone in high-school (this is early 2010s). I never joined formally, mostly just read, but over time lost touch with hacking.
I'm now a full-time software engineer at AWS, trying to hack more lately. My main focus these days is turning an old Surface RT I have into a proper work-station/dev machine. It's super underrated, and with a bit of effort I think it can do a whole lot more than what's initially obvious. One of my recent successes was getting AWS PowerShell to run on it -

Hope to learn about and share more interesting hacks with y'all! I'd forgotten how fun this is!
Yours truly,
Tony

Hello. I was actually referred here by DownDetector. I have an unlocked BlackBerry KEYone device. It looks like you have a warm and welcoming community. I hope to make some friends, learn a lot, and maybe figure out how to keep my device with your tips and tricks. =D

Welcome to XDA!

👋 hey! I'm Niels a gaming and computer enthousiast

Hey I'm Niels new here, don't have much experience on doing things with rooting as I've never had an old phone where I could do It with and now i do. My old poco f1 will now serve as the experimental phone and my main phone will be the new Xiaomi 12T. I love doing things on computers and trying to be smart ; which sometimes leads to dumb discussions and lots of trouble. Though it has its positive sides here and there. Well I guess that's it .
Welcome to XDA and enjoy your journey around the forums!!
