So as I checked latest news there is still no planned release date for HarmonyOs on global. Is it possible to change global rom to china version then? Has anyone in this group made it?
no and no...

I hope you can help me ..... I do not know if I have the global or Chinese version ... and in case I have the global one because I do not receive OTA updates
My Vercion is PKQ1.190414.001.WW_phone-16.0631.1910.64-0
does it say tencent gaming on the back? the Chinese version does.
also where did you get it from?
Which one do you think is better between the two? If my ROM before was QJOEUXM and I flashed the QJOMIXM ROM in my RN9, would it make that much difference?
The clue is in the question
One is for devices sold into European markets, the other for Global (non EU, non Chinese) markets
Mine came with the EU version of MIUI 11 - I couldn't install the Global (non EU) version of MIUI 12, but the EU version installed fine. Phones bought in different regions usually have different regional update channels and do it is here
I don't imagine there would be any meaningful difference at all between the versions, but with only one MIUI device I can't compare. Unless you've rooted your phone I'd expect you will only be able to install the one intended for your region
Correct me if I'm wrong, people!

Check your model number
Mine is M2003J15SG
It's a 4/128gb version, was bought within the EU, runs EU ROMs and has NFC
Pretty sure, as I said above, that the global and Chinese phones have different model numbers and different specs (some versions having no NFC chip) running different stock firmware
Hi all, perhapshis question has been asked (so sorry if it's a double) but if I swap to EEA (note: official EU build from Xiaomi, not the EU build based on CN) from Global is it then possible to get official OTA updates or do I need to manually flash subsequent updates? Thanks.
up, I'm interested
Up. Me too
Every official ROM from xiaomi will get OTA updates
and you can also use system apps updater right?

Hi there, You have normal OTA update. I am on this ROM now (Chinese Version of Mi 11Pro).
Regards
Honestly I find this official EEA firmware the best one for my taste, super snappy and fast,

Updating system applications will work.
In xiaomieu this is disabled because some of the applications are from the Global version and some are original from the Chinese version only translated.
If you updated such a translated application, it would either be corrupted or be in Chinese.

Yes.
I've known about the method to change the region to e.g. India to get a different feature set or possible earlier updates even for the same global ROM release of MIUI (in my case EU) for some time, but I've only recently discovered that even changing the region to Belgium made it possible for me to get the 12.5.4 EU ROM which wasn't available in my original region before.
Do you know of any rollout overview by region? Is this specific for Belgium or is my original region just unlucky to not receive the updates? What's the best region in EU so I don't change my feature set but get reasonably quick updates?
Anyone with experience on that topic? Could you suggest a better place to ask this question?
Hi,
I came across this article a where it was mentioned that MIUI 13 update was rolled out globally for Xiaomi 11T Pro. Unfortunately I do not see any updates available in India for this device yet. My device is on MIUI 12.5.2.0 (RKDINXM), with security update from 2021-11-01. Do we know if the regional update is live now? Did anyone manage to update to MIUI 13 in India?
I have used both Global and EU.
Have not seen India version

Hi NOSS8 - pardon me for the confusion, I do understand that Global update ***MI** is released. I want to know if IN update is rolled out as well? So far, I am unable to find MIUI 13 roll out schedule for India.

The company plans to roll out MIUI 13 for its Global Mi users starting the first quarter of 2022.

If you are in a hurry you can install a global rom or others by unlocking the bootloader.
