i came back to stock firmware and updated to android 12.
now i want to relock the bootloader (gpay dosent work because of it)

so i flashed the twrp recovery image and then my phone got stuck in a bootloop. So stupidly I relocked the bootloader and now i can't do nothing. any ideas?
No you NEVER relock the bootloader. (unless everything is fine)
There is another thread here where they were close to a solution but I didn't see the final outcome.
Sorry man. Good luck

Did you ever ticked Allow OEM Unlock before re locking?
Check this post.

There is a FIX.

That's not what is being said. He is saying there *may* be a link. But only 2 people have managed to fix it with that thread and 1 of them was actually bricked first, not like this but with a broken bootloader... So actually only 1 person may have fixed it with that thread.

I am thinking of going back to stock as I see no need for root at the moment. Can I lock the bootloader again and unlock it again in the future?
use this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/development/toolkit-oneplus-3t-toolkit-unlock-t3507729

Yes you can. Just remember that it'll wipe your device.

If you're gonna use toolkits, at least use the right one... That link is for the outdated version. I'm sure it works, but still...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/toolkit-oneplus-3-toolkit-unlock-t3398799
And I'm gonna add the obligatory remark on how learning to use fastboot and adb can be very useful when tinkering with your device. It can sometimes save your device when toolkits can't and you'll learn a lot about how your device works. :good:
Please Master help me. I want to root my phone but first, i have to unlock bootloader from this phone (Vivo V20). I already use Command Line " fastboot flashing unlock ", " fastboot oem unlock ", " fastboot bbk unlock_vivo ", "fastboot bbk vivo_bsp unlock_vivo". Nothing Works...
Maybe someone here know how to see command line to unlock bootloader manually from system file, please help.
1. You need to Enable developer mode on your phone
2. You need to enable USB Debugging inside of developer options
3. Also, enable OEM Unlock inside developer options also ( If you dont see this option, good luck with rooting.. )
You will also need to set up ADB platform tools sdk on your computer if you are going to root
SDK Tools Setup - https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/
Unlock Bootloader - https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-unlock-bootloader-android-phone-4689186
Be carefull please Dont brick your device... make sure to do your research and verify that your specific phone can be rooted...

Of you don't see the option to toggle the OEM bootloader unlock inside of developer settings, I doubt you will be able to root
Don't feel bad. I can't root either

Toggle OEM already on but still cannot unlock bootloader
Vivo doesn't allow their devices' bootloader getting unlocked, so you can't unlock (most of) them.
On their support page, they stated "BL cannot be unlocked" (which is false), and "suggest you not to try it".
If you really want to unlock your bootloader, nah you can't, the only way might be selling your Vivo for something else (OnePlus, Xiaomi, etc.) that allows bootloader unlocking.
Edit 1: For some older Vivo (and Oppo), you might be able to use EDL to flash a custom recovery. OR for even older ones, you can actually unlock.
Edit 2: I believe most Vivo (including Oppo) doesn't even have the normal aboot bootloader mode.

Hi, i need to relock my Zenfone 8. Right now it's running newest Beta, but everything is fully operational. Do you have any idea, how to relock?
fastboot oem lock is not working
fastboot oem asus-csc_lk also nothing
Both are giving:
FAILED (remote: Command not supported in default implementation)
Thanks.

As far as I know, once unlocked, it is not possible no relock again.
Asus says it's can't be relocked. At least it was reply to me from their support.
I relocked mine but you cannot restore OTAs since your IMEI is permanently blacklisted with Asus.

I don't think that it'll help you to fool ASUS service center. imei is blacklisted for OTA updates and i'm pretty sure that S/N too.
See no reason for that...

Hi again. One guy tried this and locked his BL (with followed factory reset).
He has Android 12 (beta 2 I think) and experienced some problems with phone auto-reboot when interent/sim card is active. If SIM is removed then he can use his ZF8.
Do you have same behavior or everything is ok for you?

After re-locking I also went back to Android 12 beta 2. I have not had any SIM or reboot issues AND my ramdump error has not re-appeared.

That person replied that those reboots were fixed by re-enabling some previously disabled apps through ADB command. It looks like too many apps were disabled.
It's interesting, will you have any OTA-updates in future or your S/N / IMEI still in blacklist for OTA's ?

No OTA; S/N is blacklisted :-( It's fine. You just download the update to storage and the phone will see it and do the update.

to relock the bootloader, the device has to have a 100% stock rom on it, no modifications at all.
ADB isn't used to relock the BL, it has to be done with fastboot.
To get fastboot on the device you have to use qfil and flash the engineering abl and then go directly to fastboot from qfil.
Look in the guides section and you'll find threads how to get the above done.

there are multiple guides in the guides section re this. They may be for unlocking the bootloader, but in your case you follow it and instead of oem unlock, you type oem lock.
