Question Issues with DS4 controller - Samsung Galaxy A33 5G

Greetings, this is my first time posting here and I've tried different websites but to no avail.
My DS4 controller connects via bt to my phone and after 30s it just disconnects for no apparent reason.
Tested it on my older phone, works perfectly. Tested it on iPad, works perfectly. Both times about 30mins, two different games.
Also, it works on my PC as well.
This makes me think that the issue is with Galaxy A33, something is disconnecting my controller.
Even after doing a full factory reset nothing changed.
What can I do to try to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

I dont have an app for it, I have been looking everywhere for a solution and I cant find one.
It has to be related to my phone, because DS4 works on other devices...

Your ds4 controller, what is it exactly, an emulated ps4 controller ?

Its a proper DS4 controller which I have used in the past to play games on my phone via BT.
The controler is charged and it works on my old phone/ipad/pc. For some reason it has connectivity issues with my A33.

can't cast entire screen

Hi everyone, so I just got my Chromecast but I'm having issues casting entire screen on my main PC (laptop works fine). What could possibly be blocking this? I've mess with all my routers setting from 2.4Ghz to 5GHz band and it still doesnt work. I've also tried re-downloading flash, disabled UAC, firewall, anti-virus, and anything I could think of that could cause this. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I've searched a tons but it doesnt seem to be a common problem. Regular casting works fine but it immediate errors when I try desktop mode.

Comparing between my PC and laptop there is a few software difference.
Firmware: 14975
PC
-Windows 8.1
-Latest Chromebrowser
-Latest flashplayer
-Connected on 5Ghz
-UAC disabled
-Win firewall disabled
Laptop
-Windows 8
-Older Chromebrowser 31.0.1653

The only thing left I havent try is plugging direct Ethernet to the router instead of connecting wireless (its an HTPC) if the wi-fi card is the problem.
Really about just give up at this point, so frustrating!!
Could this possibly help? It's a few posts up.

The guy at the end of the thread has a workaround, but there are several comments with similar problems and solutions. Hope it helps.

Definitely try a wired connection if you can - that will help rule out general wireless congestion.

So it was a bandwidth/connection issue. I switch to 2.4Ghz and it works!
My HTPC is using the onboard wi-fi card and it seems picky on the 5Ghz upstream with my router. The strange thing is that I never got that "bandwidth connection notification" or orange icon when Chromecast is having network problem; so I never bother to go back and check.
I also check out the Chromecast app and it doesnt even pick up my 5Ghz band so maybe there is some compatibility issue there.
Thanks all for the help! :good:

Glad you got it figured out. The Chromecast PC app is geared to connect to the Chromecast setup AP which is 2.4GHz.
The Chromecast Android app will use on 5GHz but only after Chromecast is set up, when it isn't trying to actively set up a Chromecast.
First I'd run Chromecast as it is and see if you encounter any issues. If not, you could just leave it alone...
But if curiosity keeps you up at night, it's possible there's a compatibility issue with your HTPC's wireless NIC and your router. Try setting your router's 5GHz AP to a lower speed range and see if that helps the connection stability.
Hi how do I cast to PC? I mean where would I connect the ccast to and what app do I need? I'm new to this lol

Chromecast is made to show video on a television. You could hook it up to your PC monitor if it has an HDMI input, or you could use the CR Cast extension (check FAQ for link) to make computer Chrome act like a Chromecast.
Only really makes sense if you have an HTPC though... otherwise it's like using a TV to remote control another TV.

[Q] USB not connecting via ROM, Recovery, Fastboot, Bootloader

I know its on the Phone side of things b/c it does not connect on any computer. Ive used multiple usb cables and computers. As of rn i can live with it since my ROM is running fine and im not having any problems with my internal storage. But soon i wont be wont be able to live with it, it is a necessary feature for me to be able to drag and drop files from my computer to my Nexus 6. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So boot into fastboot and connect it to your windows PC with a known working usb cable. What is the result of "fastboot devices"? Also does the device show up in device manager?

Well if you have ruled out cables, computers and USB ports, like it sounds that you have - it is most likely a USB port issue on your device (or something motherboard related.)

Check there is no obstruction on the port. Loose pins etc. But I would send it for repair to be honest.

V40 not working with AFT on MacBook Pro

I just got an LG V40 on T-Mobile. I have a 2015 MacBook Pro on Mojave that i had no problem using Android File Transfer with my Note8 or my LG G7. I cannot seem to get my V40 to connect to the MacBook Pro to transfer data via USB. Is there a good free alternative to Android File Transfer, or does anybody know the right way to get them to connect. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps on the AFT site that I've found.
SHAREit seems to work pretty well. I don't have any Apple products but I'm able to transfer files with coworkers that do.

via USB?
Android File Transfer is working just fine for me. I also have the 2015 MB Pro 13", on Mojave 10.41.1.
Was also functioning fine on my previous phone, an LG G6.
Have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling AFT?
Does your V40 connect fine to a Windows PC?
Tried different USB ports or cables?

I've tried several different cables. It connects just fine to my surface book. I've uninstalled/reinstalled AFT multiple times. Installed the LG Driver. Wiped the phone. The computer will see the phone just not as a drive. It's like AFT is the only thing that can't see it

What settings do you have checked in developer mode? I've tried with Debugging on and off, MTP and PTP. I keep getting this feeling that i'm missing something.

Dropped phone - trying to recover the data

Hi all,
Dropped my phone and the phone stopped responding. I tried replacing the screen but this made no difference.
Since the phone was just not turning on at all (no sort of response), I tried to replace the charging port after (after the drop, the sim card tray was damaged so thought the issue might be around here).
After I replaced the charging port, I managed to get the notfication light flashing (with a power source) and now it is solid.
When I connect it to my PC, I hear the notification sound when a device has been connected but unable to view any files or see it show in my PC.
I feel like I'm close to getting the phone working but not quite there yet. I am mainly interested in just recovering the data.
Any help would be much appreciated.
In this case, you need a screen, either on the phone itself, or an external one, and a mouse to navigate the options, if you manage to get the screen to work, enable USB debugging, run adb devices, if your phone shows up as a device (reference screenshot:

), you can run adb pull /sdcard/ to copy all the files from it to your PC, but if it shows up as unauthorized (reference screenshot:
), you need to allow usb debugging on the phone, then run adb pull /sdcard/ to copy the data.
And remember for the sake of god NEVER use MTP if you're copying more than one small file at a time, as it is known to corrupt large files, or large quantities of files, if you do not want corruption use adb pull

Thank you for your reply - do you have any recommendations here? Specifically for xiaomi 9t pro? I read somewhere an MHL cable would not work
Dropped my phone and it stopped working. Replaced screen, still doesn't work. Replace charging port and notification light started blinking and turned solid though I don't see it anymore.
But the phone connects to the PC - I just can't access the phone. Using ADB I get a serial number followed by unrecgonised.
What can I use for this phone to get some sort of display, and something to control? Based in UK so any UK links would be appreciated.

Well, unrecognized means ADB does not even know what type of device is that, that's not good.
Any dock for a macbook using USB-C should work, as for proper stuff:

These two should also work with it.

How to prevent Android Auto from establishing Bluetooth connection?

I have a 2019 Hyundai Kona which has support for Android Auto. You need to connect the smartphone via USB cable to activate it.
My wife does not like Hyundai's navigation system so I thought about using Google Maps via an unsused phone. Idea: the smartphone is permanently connected to the Hyuindai and can be used for navigation (it has an Internet connection).
My problem is that Android Auto establishes Bluetooth connection to the Car's system upon activating. I don't want that because I want to use my regular phone for calls.
What would be the easiest way to permanently disable Bluetooth on an Android smartphone? The phone could be rooted, there is LineageOS on it.
There is an option to keep Bluetooth off during Android Auto in the Android Auto settings on your phone. But I never tried that option.

Go into Android Auto on phone settings and turn off phone authorization. That will prevent it from automatically turning on bluetooth.
