i have cyanogen 7 installed on my nexus one. can i install the official updates again or is there another way to update my phone and still have a custom rom????
If you are running the latest CM stable (7.1.0), it is actually ahead of stock N1s. It is currently based on Android 2.3.7.
i want to use a rom long time.Slim is good or cm10 or another ?
Probably Slim Bean
CM 10.0 stable in my case (andoid 4.1.2) was terrible. Much lag, unstable and terrible battery. However after changing kernel to Semaphore CM 10.0 was very stable, much smoother and better batterytime.
Now I am using CM 10.1.2 and it's original kernel is much better than the one of CM 10.0. However I am very curious how the performance will be with Semaphore.
But in between (after CM 10) I have flashed and used Slim Bean 4.2.1. It was like CM 10.0 on steroids and very stabble with better batterytime. I am very happy about CM10.1.2, but when Slim Bean comes with a stable 4.2.2 Android there is a 90 percent change I will go to that rom.
Choose slimbean 7.5, you will no regret!
I am on my Android Lollipop 5.0.2 and I got some lags sometimes after running more apps .
So is Cm13 Fastest than 12 ???
Is it better to official update to Android 6.0 or Flash custom Rom Cm13 for the better perfomance and battery life???
For now Stock 5.0.2 is the most stable with Xposed. CM13 has released but only for single sim phone (for dual sim ril is not working). I've heard AOSP 6.0 has also released but same problem. Well it's your choice (BTW try CM12.1 Snapshot release which is very stable). And yeah try abishek battery guide which also gives a bit of performance also.
So I recently made an update from Android 7.1.1 to Android 9, but Samsung One UI is total garbage. But downgrading to Android 7.1.1 is not a good alternative due to security patches you can only get with newer Android version apparently. I don't really want to use a Custom ROM as the stock ROM is good for everyday use. My question is, is it possible to get an older design layout like Samsung Experience 8.5 (Android 7.1.1 UI) or TouchWiz Nature 4.0 UX ( S5 UI, as this is my most favourite design). I guess you can't uninstall One UI and install a different UI. Nova Launcher would be an option but it doesn't give the exact same layout from Experience 8.5 or TouchWiz. My Google search wasn't really successful as there are no real good ways to get this UI. Are there other possibilities to get it or am I stuck and can't do anything about it?
Recently I installed Corvus OS 4.1 and saw that the youtube video and games for example were freezing for 4 seconds, I changed the rom to Evolution 7.2 and the problem continued, I don't know if the problem is my device, the AOSP based rom, anyone can you give me a hand?
