That will differ with the type of headphones u use
Any news if S9/S9+ will support aptx HD? It says on qualcomm website that SD 845 supports aptX Classic/HD, but not sure if it will actually be available.
A big question! Plus Sony LDAC?

LDAC is suported. Also somehing called Samsung HD no idea what that is.
Now I'm curious about MQA, since I have Tidal, and apparently the V30 supports MQA... Debating whether to get the S9 or the V30 now.... Slightly better hardware, or better sound? Tough choice...
LDAC will definitely be supported.

As someone with a V30 who can't wait to get rid of the thing, in my opinion the audio quality boost just isn't worth the headaches of LG's crap software. They're basically about where Samsung was on the S4 as far as stability and usefulness goes.
Can someone explain what aptX HD is?

It's a Bluetooth codec it basically sends more data via Bluetooth to your Bluetooth headphones or speaker giving you better sound quality. The headphones or speaker needs to support aptx hd also for it to be effective

No aptxhd as I have the s9+ and when u go to developer settings and choose the bluetooth codec theres aptx only I'm using the exynos version
Interestingly, LDAC is not turned on automatically. You have to go to bluetooth settings, find relevant headphones, enter its settings and then trigger LDAC on.
Is there a way to see how each bluetooth connection is talking? Connect my headphones and see that it is currently using aptx or sbc and such?
Yes that is found in developer options in the settings menu

found a well written article : https://www.pocket-lint.com/headpho...-what-is-aptx-hd-and-which-devices-support-it
and apparently there is a site of apt-x indexing which products support their new codec https://www.aptx.com/products?field_aptx_type_tid=483
it's interesting as well as kinda confusing for customers to find product/s (in this case cellphone/s) that will be able to widely support many new acclaimed HD audio codecs.
in regards with samsung phones with Exynos chip, not sure if it supports aptX & aptX HD as of now.
Turn on developer options, then scroll down and you'll find bluetooth codecs. You can select which one you want to use and quality over performance or vice versa etc.
I can confirm that the Exynos version doesn’t support aptX hd. Seeing as it’s a hardware issue, it’s very unlikely that it ever will. Shame as my new b&w px supports the codec. Guess I’ll have to wait for another phone.

I kinda have a feeling that the 'AptX' codec in dev options is just AptX HD but they decided to call it AptX for whatever reason.
Does Huawei P20 pro supports Htc U-Sonic earphones and if yes, how's the sound quality??
Thanks in advance

I knew many were seeing my post and I also know many of you has no answer, but at leat comment something so that we can publish this thread and someone will help me who can test about this...
Hello. This is my first thread in XDA sooo... greetings! I'd just like to ask a quick question...
The video stabilization on my installed Gcam doesn't seem to work even though it is enabled in the settings. I tried different configuartions (1080p 60/30 fps, 4k 30/60fps) but still with no signs of stabilization.
The apk I installed is Gcam 7.2.010 Ver. 2.3 by urnyx05.
I was just wondering if there are other apks (for Mi 9T Pro) with working video stabilization or do i need to use Magisk or TWRP to make this work... or this feature doesn't work yet on Gcam ports just like the slowmotion feature.
I tried searching about this but with no luck (at least on Mi 9T Pro forums). That's why I made this thread as a last resort
Answers and suggestions are deeply appreciated!
Welcome to xda mate. I was looking for the same gcam and finally found one. Actually it doesn't work great in 60fps but still better at stabilization. It is the onfire version and here the link: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-onfire/

Thank you for the suggestion, but this port still doesn't seem to work on my phone, but its OK!
I actually found an apk that works for me and its still by urnyx. Apparently he has an updated version which fixes the EIS problem. It's this one: GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v1.5.apk (I cant post links because I'm still a newbie, just search it). So EIS does work, it just depends on the port (and phone? lol), I think. Well that answers my question I guess

It isn't included on ColorOS 12. This probably means that it also won't be included in OxygenOS at the global launch, but of course we don't know that for sure until it becomes available globally.
I am also unable to find that please tell me how to enable it or any software that could match up with that feature .. help me
Motion Smoothing requires a special MEMC hardware chip.
That chip is NOT included in OnePlus 10 Pro.
