His there any software to sim unlock a treo 500v...?
I have the same question. The handset is locked to vodafone spain
Thanks and regards
The Treo 500v is not a HTC device.
doesn't really matter if it's HTC or not, this is a network issue.
call your service provider and tell them that you have to go out of country for a bit and you need to unlock your phone and they might just give you the code.

Unlock what? The sim card? You purchased from an ebay seller??? Please clarify...
Try purchasing code from another unlocker. If code turns out same, this might mean Verizon has started altering unlock codes like they were doing with Droid 2 Globals before. If this is the case, the only way you can get it unlocked is thru Verizon. But for this you need to be a customer of theirs with an account that has been in good standing for 6 months. If you do not live in the States, this obviously poses a problem, see if the ebay seller can get the codes for you.

I purchased unlock code for droid 3.(locked by verizon)
And it didn't work..
I purchased the code twice from other seller.
But the code is same..
I'm not living in the States.
My friend is there and have a account of Verizon for 3 years.
Do I have to ship phone to my friend for request the unlock code from them?
Thx.

If you have a friend who is a VZW customer, see if you can have him add it to his account temporarily and then call the Global support number and request a SIM unlock code. You may not even have to ship it to him - just send him the numbers on the sticker under the battery so he can add it to his account.
As long as his account is in good standing, VZW will give you the unlock code for free and it worked fine for me.

Hi,
i will get a HTC ONE with swisscom SIM lock i guess. Is there already the possibility to do an unlock?
Want to use it with a German Provider.
Thanks,
Stephan.
Sorry to have to break it to ya, but sadly there is no way (atleast I haven't heard of any way) to unlock a simlock on the HTC One .. yet

Can't you just ask them to unlock it for you? Usually almost all network operators unlock devices when you have a proper reason. I myself use the excuse of having to travel on another country for them to unlock it for me.

Always. There's usually a fee but it is still usually cheaper to pay to have it unlocked than to pay extortionate roaming fees in Europe/wherever.
Tried 4 online sites but no one that i have tried has the unlock codes. I am on 3 UK and have to wait 30 days for them to do it. Not much use when I am going to San Francisco very soon.

I have the same question as OP. I am about to order a MotoX and will be traveling in 1 month.
Who is RipCo?
For Motorola are more services available, there is a cheaper service that does not work for all phones, but tere is a service for not found phones ,which even if is a bit more expensive ( around 12$) should unlcok your phone

Let me see if I understood correctly, you bought your Moto X from motorola's website (in the Design Yours section), customized your phone and at the end you choosed Carrier -> ATT -> No Contract (that's 499$) and you got it to work in your country?

So you just called them and asked them for the code, didn't you?
What exactly did you say? I'm in the same situation and I'm about to give them a call, so I have to be prepared
Thanks a lot!
Just got myself an AT&T Moto X. I am in India right now and dont see any option to e-mail the guys at AT&T. For some reason they want me to register. Can anyone help me out with this? I need to SIM unlock the phone. How do I reach AT&T via e-mail?
This is the AT&T International (+1 916 843 4685) phone number. Can call that 1-2 times if you can and try to convince you to give you a code, but lately seems they do not give codes unless you have or had a contract with them and use the form from their website to request for it. If that is not working can just buy an unlock code should be around 12$
Anyone have a phone with imei starting 3532 that has had problems unlocking?

Sims lock is usually done by the carrier and it is unlocked when it is paid off.
So what can I do in that case?

Whatever carrier the phone was originally purchased on has a lock on it. If the phone has been paid off with that carrier you should be able to contact them to have it unlocked. If it hasn't been paid off with the original carrier then the original purchaser of the phone needs to have that done.
Most carriers will not unlock the phone unless it's been paid off.

Open a case with PayPal and eBay and get your money back. It's either a phone that hasn't been paid off yet, or a stolen phone.

I tried that, but ebay won't let me return it because of "as is " condition of the phone... What can i do? There's no way to unlock it and use it in my country? Dominican Republic.
If the device wasn't paid off then it's fraud and they will make good. There was / is a thread here about selling a device that wasn't paid off in full. Well this is what happens if you do sell or buy one in that state. Maybe you can call the carrier and ask if it's paid off. If it is they will unlock it for you.

Then you might have to call the carrier in your country to have the device provisioned for their network.

Ebay has a 30 day money back guarantee to protect the buyer. I've used this a few times, and they always get me my money back! Unless your past the 30 days, then you can file a paypal claim.
I have the same issue. It's a Google issue from what I hear. I got my unlocked new pixel 4 right from Google. Put in my ATT sim and it said "sim isn't supported, contact xfinity". Hahaha..
so I contact them and they send me a new phone. Same thing. This is a very new issue and I finally found someone asked the same question on Google assistance and it was said it was a google issue and they are trying to fix it.
What a crock... I can't believe Google's own phones don't work as they should.
Rest assured, its most likely not a stolen phone, or unpaid. It's a Google problem.

Are you kidding? Ok, rereading I see what you are saying. But they must have given you a reason as to why your sim doesn't work. Where are you located?
I didn't say Google sent me a stolen phone. Re-read the post and the link. It appears to be a Google software issue.
Have you personally experienced the problem? I have, as have others in the link I posted and the OP.

Post edited above. This is not a Google problem, imo. Where did you buy the device and which version. Perhaps you bought a Verizon model like some of the posters in the thread you linked to? This is not a known issue so you folks are doing something wrong whether it's buying the wrong device or your carrier doesn't support the phone. But it's really up to you at this point to figure out where you have gone awry.
