Hi Y700 owners, of future owners
So to have a dedicated forum for the Y700, we need to open threads in other "remotely related forums" and have some interesting discussions.
Therefore opening this one as an attempt to get a little more organized Y700 posts and, especially, to get visibility and get our own forum
I'm not too much familar in 2022 with ROMs and other stuff (i was playing with those things a few years back and a lot has changed since), but i understand there are some GSI (generic system image) ROMs that are available, from what i understand, for several devices that don't have a dedicated ROM. That is something new to me i have to say.
@FIERA03 , i hope you don't mind me quoting you here, but as you have done some interesting testing, to give it more visibility, i'll paste your results here from another thread.
I have flashed a lot of GSI on this tablet so far.
Here is a summary of the bugs and other issues that I have noticed in them.
※All of them are Android 12L except for the ones without special notes.
①Corvus OS, Descendant OS...Lock screen does not rotate. Probably because it is based on Google Pixel ROM. Corvus also does not have face unlock.
②Ancient OS(Android 12.0)...Lock screen does not turn to landscape. Also, when I change the username or photo at the top of the settings, the settings app crashes. Also note that the settings app crashes if you change the username or photo above the settings.
③Proton AOSP...When I restarted to set up Magisk, the settings app repeatedly stops. Deleting app data and cache had no effect.
④Havoc OS(Android 11)...The startup logo does not appear in the first place and comes back to the bootloader.
⑤Superior OS...It started, but the FPS dropped extremely. I judged that it is difficult to use regularly.
⑥Pixel Experience…The screen is still not landscape. Also, it seems that it is not optimized for tablets any more than Descendant, and when I call the dock while launching an app(the feature of 12L), the icon looks like it has been split in half.
⑦All of NipponGSI...Like Havoc OS, it comes back to the bootloader. It may be a bad compatibility.
⑧Lineage OS…There was a switch "Rotate lock screen" in the settings. But I don't use it, because the "su" binary is still in the root file and can't delete it ,so interferes with SafetyNet.
⑨Arrow OS...This also allows the lock screen to be turned landscape and is also very light. Although the lack of face unlock is a demerit (LSPosed module didn't work→https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/11-universalauth-face-unlock-for-all-roms.4419343/).But there are few complaints for me. So I'm using it regularly.
I'm sorry if it's hard to read because I'm not good at English. Thank you.

Thanks a lot @FIERA03 for these information. Very valuable for anyone interested in flashing its Y700.
This was your status on May 22nd.
Of course you need to unlock the bootloader, which you can do after entering IMEI and email at this website: https://www.zui.com/iunlock (Thanks for @NisseGurra for posting this link in another thread).
Are there any other interesting experience that anyone can share with either those GSI or other images?
Thanks a lot for your contributions to have some kind of Lenovo Legion Y700 community started
For the GSI Y700 users, there is an treble app update from phh (attached). It enable magnetic cases wake and close screen.
I'm pleased to report that I have tested a ROM that I had not tried before and have confirmed that it meets all of my requirements.
The Nazim's crDroid GSI is the best ROM for the Legion Y700 (I didn't like the logo, so I didn't use it until now).
Below is a list of the outstanding features of this ROM.
・It doesn't have a fixed lock screen in portrait orientation like Corvus or Descendant.
・It doesn't contain superfluous and undeletable files like "su" like Lineage.
・It includes face unlock unlike ArrowOS (by the way, crDroid and ArrowOS are built by the same person, I wonder why he didn't include face unlock in the latter).
・It doesn't cause any noticeable glitches like ProtonAOSP or Pixel Experience (it still runs the Alpha version of the Lawnchair Magisk Module without crashing).
・This ROM is so customizable that you don't even need the Magisk or LSPosed module that you have been using. The status bar can be customized, and even the volume step can be adjusted.
・The default wallpaper of this ROM is very beautiful (my personal opinion ).
・It can pass SafetyNet. most other 12L GSIs could not do this.
Of course, this ROM alone is still not enough in some areas, but I think that can be improved with the App placed by Mr. @NisseGurra and the modules in this link
(Click the "Magiskモジュールのダウンロード" button to jump to Google Drive and download it). This module enables automatic brightness change of the screen, and also allows assignment to the right switch (originally the game mode activation switch) using the Button Mapper.
I hope all Y700 users will use this ROM. Thank you.
Thanks for the report Fiera03.
How about streaming services with GSI ROMs? Netflix and other are working fine in HD?
I don't know because I'm not registered with Netflix, but according to Mr. SMART ASW (who I showed in the module link), you can get HD playback if you forge the model name using MagiskHide Props Config (he forged a Yoga Tab to a Pixel 6). However, he says that doing this may cause DT2W to stop functioning. So be careful.
I get 1080 at amazon prime, can seem to get 4 k tho

Well, my Galaxy tab s6 has the same resolution and doesn't get 4k, which makes sense since these devices aren't 4K (1440p is a good fit in YouTube but it's not an option in prime video if I'm not mistaken)

OK. here's a installing process.
①Unlock bootloader with SN.img. This procedure is the same as for other Lenovo tablets such as the Xiaoxin Pad, so I'll skip this step.
②Put the tablet in Fastboote"d" mode. I usually enter this mode by pressing and holding the volume down and the power button to activate fastboot mode, then selecting "Enter Fastboot" from the recovery menu.
③You have to download the arm64 version from the CrDroid GSI link that the text my first post in this thread. I recommend arm64-BgN-vndklite.
④I will assume that you have already configured Android Studio. Start a command prompt and type the command fastboot flash system (the img file you downloaded and unzipped) You can also do this by dragging and dropping the img file into the window before flashing system.
⑤Operate the tablet; proceed to Enter recovery→Wipe data/factory reset to initialize the tablet's data. Otherwise, it will freeze at the title.
⑥Reboot system now and after a while CrDroid will start.
If you have any stumbling blocks, please ask me again.
By the way, is anyone using Phusson's AOSP with Y700?
I want to know if it has been improved, because I had a bug before and the screen didn't come on after sleep.

Its been a few months since you made this post, thank you!
I was wondering if you have any updates on this. Is this still your recommended Rom?
If not, which one are you running now?
I noticed the developer of crdroid has a lot bunch of newer builds available, have you tried those?
Thanks for your input keeping this device alive

I've also tested several Android 13 ROMs, and none of them seem to be optimized for tablets yet (at 1st I found a severe bug in the standard launcher).
Therefore, I still consider crDroid GSI's 8.13 to be the most suitable ROM for this device. The next best is Mr. AndyYan's LineageOS (Secure), which is easy to use.
@FIERA03 could I ask where you found your IMEI on this device? I got the stock rom switched over to english but I cannot find the IMEI anywhere :/

Is there a sticker writing device's information on the tablet ?
The number under the barcode is the S/N=IMEI.
Anyone else notice the unlocking website no longer accepts the serial number?

Hi, I am a noob who's trying to try update the rom as per your instruction. However my y700 is came with 'global rom' which is installed by Aliexpress seller. It seems the machine already unlocked. Is it ok/safe to follow your instruction guide even it's not ZUI original chinese rom? I would much appreciated. Currently Having trouble to having google playstore error on games, and experiencing strangely lagging speed on loading microSD card.

This guide (use google translate for english) should work: https://smartasw.com/archives/15704
Hi everybody.
I've also bought now the Y700 (to replace my old MiPad 4) and installed as recommended the crDroid image from Nazim. Really like it a lot, only miss adaptive brightness.
I've therefore tried to install the Magisk module from smartasw (guide is here).
Does is work for you @FIERA03 or anybody else?
The re-mapping for the game button has been successful, but I cannot see any automatic changes in the brightness nor any additional settings entry (not sure if such a thing should be expected).
It seems that the overlay apk cannot be installed correctly. Tried to debug using this and it has a problem with the idmap:
Code:
TB-9707F:/ $ cmd overlay dump me.phh.treble.overlay.lenovo.y700

mPriority..............: 15

}

Does it work for any of you guys?

I have currently installed on my p10 vtrl29c432b375 RR os beta 2 and from all the ones I tried I find this one to be the most complete rom, have proto kernel on it with spectrum profiles and magisk 16.4 as my daily driver.

Device: Huawei P10-Plus
Model: VKY-L29 C636
I mostly tried the Resurrection Remix ROM and it works very good. I still have it on my device.
There are some issues that i encountered. I also wrote them on the Telegram support group:
The battery has a problem. I noticed it with every battery monitoring app. Looks like that i have 1000mAh of capacity, while i have really a ~4000mAh. There is also a huge battery drain (with the stock ROM i had almost 20 hours of battery. With any of the treble ROMs, i have a maximum of 12 hours on standby). I'll explain later how i almost solved this problem.
Changing the theme looks not possible on RR. When i press "change theme" to "dark" or "black", nothing happens. I solved the need of having a dark theme with Substratum.
Sometimes the screenshots are VERY pixelated, like a quarter of the resolution of the screen.
The dialer has a huge problem: the "mute" button does not mute. The rest of the call is good.
Everytime i boot my phone, there is the "Android is booting..." text on the screen. Nothing more. The System interface just loops the "Android is booting..." text. I fixed it locking the screen, unlocking it with the power button, sliding up from the "dialer" icon, entering the padlock and pressing the "back" button. The text is gone and the phone is ready to work. (check attachments for a demo).
The battery drain can be fixed with three solutions.
1st solution:
The first solution is with Kernel Adiutor. If the scenario is identical as mine, you will notice that the phone is not going into the Deep Sleep state. You can however try to reduce the power consume setting the High CPUs governor on "powersave", while setting the Little CPUs governor on "interactive" or "conservative". That helped me to reduce the battery consume.
This solution has one problem: is ALWAYS active.
To avoid this situation, you can use Tasker, which is the second solution.
2nd solution:
With Tasker, i set two profiles: "Screen Off" and "Screen On".
I added two activities, each one for each profile.
The first activity, the "Screen Off" activity, sets every CPU on "powersleep" mode, saving energy.
The "Screen On" activity sets the little CPUs at "interactive" mode, making the phone smoother and not lagging.
Then i set the profile "Screen On" that has to be activated ONLY if the screen is on the state "ON". Same with "Screen Off", but obviously when screen is on state "OFF".
3rd solution:
The third solution is a something that you can use in addiction with the previous ones.
Just use Greenify to hibernate apps once they are closed. It helped me a lot with old Android phones with a small battery.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR RESURRECTION REMIX ROM GOES INTO A "ANDROID IS BOOTING..." LOOP
Here's the bootloop example. It just goes on forever:
Here's how to troubleshoot it. Just do it every reboot:
Hey, Why is there no Location Service Icon in the taskbar when using resurrection remix rom?. That's a really big thing for me as i use it alot.

Yesterday installed OMNIrom Alpha2 on my VKY-L29 and... actually i don't have what to blame.
I'm not a power user, but for daily use it's more than capable. Phone works, internet (wifi/data) works, youtube vanced works, fingerprint gestures works, camera works, no lag. Android 9.
I'm happy AF, epecially when i know, that several weeks before i had locked device with no prospect to get a root, not mentioning Android Pie.

Ok, today i'm going to reinstall this rom. Not because i didn't like it, but i want to try openkirin 8.0 roms, how do hey work. I would go back later to this rom for sure.
Minuses of alpha version - i saw somewhere that original camera is not ported, so quality may be not so good. sometimes camera app glitches and some functions doesn't work (portrait mode).
sorry about bluetooth, haven't used it at all. also, i'm not a mobile gamer, so i don't know if game's speed is the same as original.
Don't see any problems with calling. Battery works as expected for ~2 days with simple use of several hours browsing, few calls and always wifi+data.
In my opinion it's not alpha version, but stable beta.

OK so I bit the bullet; it works very well (more stable than the RR build AFAIC), with a few glitches:
no NFC
install doesn't offer to restore content from elsewhere
graphics seem to flicker a bit now and then
Some highlights:
battery consumption appears to be at least on par with EMUI 8 (getting more than a full day)
this rom does include the Huawei Camera app, which works similarly to EMUI
I'm keeping it

how did you install it?
When i try to install a treble android 9 rom i just get a black screen at boot (not even boot anim) and then it just reboots, i followed the openkirin's guide step by step and same result
EDIT: Nvm i got it working
Hi, I think I messed up, I try installing by fastboot the system image, but know my phone is on bootloop, i cannot make the twrp be recognized to the computer at least to try uploading to the internal memory another rom to flash.
Can someone, explain to me in details, how can I install this rom? as my phone is bricked now, and I don't know how to solve this. I can only flash things via fastboot, because the twrp is not recognized.
If someone, could help me, I would be so thankful
i dont know if i have to install the a-only version or the A/B version, can someone help me with that?
Hi, I finally can install the ROM, OmniROM Pie Alpha 3, the camera app is working very bad, it's slow and when you took a picture with the front camera it is like you never took it, as it is not in the gallery. There is a fix for this?
Hi,
I see there are some improvements like: Camera: fixed save to external SD card and other good things on 5.2.
Code:
[U]OmniROM Pie Alpha 5.2[/U]
Changes from Alpha 5 to Alpha 5.2 are marked with NEW
OmniROM Pie changes through Feb. 8 with February security patch (NEW: Was Feb. 5 with January security patch.)
Fixed crash in Smart Key settings on Honor 8. (NEW: Derp on my part. This is now saving it’s value properly.)
Added persistent toggle to device settings for disable HW overlays; defaults on for hi3650 devices.
[B]Camera: fixed save to external SD card[/B].
Camera: hi3650 tweaks (beauty mode causing app crash should be resolved)
Minor tweaks to sd card support (exfat seems to work a little better now)
Bluetooth tweaks for Huawei BLE timeout error (NEW; Thanks @Hackintosh5)
Tweak to libc for dealing with certain Huawei vendor libs; fixes crashes on certain devices [Mate 10 Pro exhibited this] (NEW)
Note: If you are using Substratum, please disable overlays before updating.
[U]OmniROM Pie Alpha 4[/U]
Updated to current security patch (2019-01-05)
Added Google Setup Wizard & restore function. (Minor known issue: if you choose to not restore, the restore step sticks around and leaves a persistent notification until reboot. Reboot or force stop the app from notifications to clear.)
Added fast charging toggle in device settings
Added smart key support for Honor 8
Added extended display size support (Settings / OmniGears / Bars / Enable Scaling)
I would possibly update from Pie Alpha 3, but I really don't know how to do it. Following OpenKirin ROM Installation Instructions maybe, without step 15? I wouldn't like to re-install all apps and settings. Please, someone who has updated openkirin in the past, advice.

I have never installed a custom rom before; I am a little bit of a power use but basically the only reason I want a custom rom on my Huawei P10 Plus is for the latest android updates.
Is there anyone here that knows if it is still possible to get a custom rom for this phone? I clicked the open kirin link and it looks like the site is down.
Can anyone help me or am I just a little late to the party?

Thanks Raystef66, I'm using this ROM as of tonight. I have successfully upgraded from AOSP 6.5 (May) on my A2017 (chinese).
Much smoother and quicker, although that is expected with a new ROM install after so long! I hope to give you more feedback.
Dungeon Maker had issues installing, which i think may be due to CTSmismatch in magisk (v20). I still have not been successful in passing it.
Do you have a kernel recommended? Or which kernel do you have with this ROM?
Thank you for all of your hard work in keeping the Axon7 ROMs active.

Install MagiskHidePropsConfig and Busybox and run "props" via terminal and choose f.e. the axon7 oreo FP. You'll pass cts. I run magisk 20.0 and all ok.
I suggest installing the RC1.2 kernel which you can find HERE.
In my next build I was planning to take that one within the ROM. But you can install it without probs tho
Btw, picture below is on new crDroid but MHPC should give u the same results on ArrowOS
Thanks Ray, I appreciate your reply and knowledge of this.
The app updated and worked without needing the ctsmismatch pass, so i'll just wait for your update.
In the 3 days since I've been using this ROM, I can appreciate the following coming from AEX 6.5. A freshly installed ROM does have some of these benefits so I'm probably biased.
1. Arrow has a faster boot into the rom. the loading screen is awesome and the loading effect is great.
2. Arrow uses half as much ram, 1.7gig compared to 3.2gig. This is probably a fresh install thing though, as i have a lot less apps now.
3. quicker and cleaner.
Thanks, the only thing i hope you have in future builds is the cts, and the option for when you reset the phone, there are the extra options to boot into recovery.
*found this option under 'buttons' in the android menu, apologies.
Ive been using this for a month now and its been awesome.
The only bug or issue I've had is the dictionary and auto-correct. Auto-correct does not work at all, and it doesnt recognise mis-spelt words. Android keyboard seems to have limited option.
Thank you for developing this ROM.

Hi raystef66,
Thank you so much for your great efforts and sharing with this amazing ROM.
The only issue for me is so far - Gesture Typing of AOSP Keyboard is not working.
I have checked its setting to make sure the gesture typing function turned on, but still not working.
Is it experiencing only me? how about other people?
I'm sure that this is an ignorable minor bug for me, otherwise this ROM is finely matured exquisite PIE ROM.
In the next update, however, would you mind adding the advanced settings option?
Thanks again.
BUILD 2019.11.17 First Impressions
Pretty happy with this ROM coming from the most recent (now deprecated) Lineage 15.1 Official Nightly and really loving Arrow.
The only thing I'm missing is the ability to slide finger on status bar to adjust brightness.
I noticed the battery life seems noticeably better. I was hours away from replacing my Axon due to the battery just being horrible, even after being recently replaced. Everything seems buttery smooth besides the Gcam app I'm using. It works, but very sluggish.
Please do recommend your favorite camera app for this ROM.
I'm passing SafetyNet after installing Pixel Android 9 Props.
GPS took over a minute to get a lock the first time around, but now works within 15 seconds as expected.
USB tethering has been temperamental. I disabled hardware acceleration via Developer Settings and it seems to be working better.
I can confirm that swipe texting on AOSP keyboard does not work, however works fine with Gboard.
Hardware keys work as expected however even with the home button Long Press Action set to activate Google Assistant it does nothing. It seems that the Google Assistant action does not work with any of the button settings including the on screen navbar.
I haven't been able to get USB-OTG to work on any ROMs since ditching stock. Maybe someone knows a fix. It doesn't work in TWRP either, so maybe it's my hardware.
Besides a few minor quirks, I am hugely grateful for this ROM providing Pie and rekindling my love for this aging Axon. Thank you!
Swipe typing on the aosp keyboard just means it's missing the libs. Seen it before. Last I checked open gapps aroma let you restore the libs.. But using a different keyboard is a better idea.
Thank you for the update and fixes! Still using this since September.
As above, the keyboard (and in my case, autocorrect doesnt work as well as other roms) is the only thing thats not going so great.
Apart from that, its flawless. Thank you again!
Hi,
Thank you for this very good ROM!
Tested several days, I only noticed a bug in the Google camera with the GAPPS stock. When the application is updated, it stops working.
I also wonder if wifi calls work. Maybe I didn't find the right option to activate them.
(and the GPS sometimes remains blocked at a location and does not update itself).
Everything else is perfect!
Wi-Fi access point and usb modem do not work ....
Wi-Fi access point and usb modem do not work .... sometimes attempts to turn on those options cause a system lock and forced hard reset
PS I turned off hardware acceleration as someone wrote here - USB tethering works ... the problem with the wireless hot spot remains ...
PS2 I don’t know why, but during a 10-kilometer trip, GPS is lost several times, and somewhere near the final destination of the trip, the phone suddenly starts to show the right way this is already becoming a tradition.....
I my location on this ROM i have a problem with conersation. Before i used AOSP 5.7 based on Oreo and in my room i could talk by phone. Acctually i must go to kitchen because only there i can normally talk.
It's look like worse signal or not all bands compatible. My Axon have B20 (it isn't china version). Sometimes i have problem with internet - connecting by LTE isn't possible. When i was in London i couldn't use internet. Phone found transmitter, about 3/5 signal strange but any page or facebook lite no load.

About PpPmod
PpPmod is a port of the excellent xXx NoLimits magisk ROM for Oxygen OS. It's a systemless modification to the default Realme UI that allows the user to get much more out of his device than the default configuration allows.
But why a magisk ROM?
For two reasons:
1. Realme devices offer good price to performance ratio, but in many cases they lack a developer community around them to build those ROMs the users want.
2. Realme UI is not that bad honestly. It offers good performance, it's not too crazy aesthetically and its bloatware isn't baked deep into the system.
It's also a much safer way to modify Mediatek devices. As long as you've managed to root your phone, you are good to go. If something goes wrong, just wipe data and no harm, no foul.
Supported devices
While in theory, any Realme device with Realme UI v1, Android 10 and a full HD screen resolution should be compatible, the only two devices this has been tested on are a Realme 6 and a Realme 6 Pro. For the curious, i own the later.
Ok, but what does it do?
- Port of xXx NoLimits for Oxygen OS
- Fully systemless Realme UI ROM mod for magisk
- Designed to work with all phones that run RealmeUI v1, Android 10 on full HD screens, including MTK ones
- Fully configurable installation, every component is optional
- Includes comprehensive debloating options
- Optional build.prop tweaks
- Many kernel tweaks that can be adjusted and combined, in order to target different degrees of performance and battery life
- 90hz/120hz for ALL apps when the display is set to its high refresh rate
- GMS Doze included
- Ability to disable analytics
- Ability to disable wakelocks
- Can enable full screen gestures (swipe up) for 3rd party launchers
- Ability to set custom bootanimations from a built in list, or as a user selected bootanimation.zip
- Includes extra launchers, sounds and icons from popular device brands like Pixel and OnePlus
- Gcams for both Qualcomm and Mediatek devices are included (by Urnyx and onFire)
- Youtube Vanced, detached from the playstore so no pesky updates can override it
- Google Dialer and Contacts, both old and new versions
- Custom density modes
- Ability to systemize apps
In order to set your own bootanimation, place a bootanimation.zip inside /sdcard/PpPmod. You can also place a shutdown/restart animation named rbootanimation.zip there. Make sure that your bootanimations are 1080 pixels in width, or they won't work as you'd expect. If you set option CustomBootAnimation to 1 in PpP.profile, your animations will be used during start up and/or reboot, instead of the default ones. For more information about the PpPmod folder and the PpP.profile file go to Installation Instructions.
If you want to systemize an app for whatever reason, just place the apk inside /sdcard/PpPmod/apps., before flashing.
Concerning debloating there is a master switch you should toggle if you want your individual options to work. Set IndividualDebloatSelection to 1.

Status: Stable
Current Stable Version: 1.1
Stable Release Date: 2020-09-14
Created 2020-09-03
Last Updated 2020-09-14
Changelog
Version 1.1
Fixed a bug where enabling HighRefreshRate had no effect on the first boot after installation.
Updated Google Dialer to the latest version.
Updated sqlite to the latest version.
Reworked kernel tweaks, with some inspiration from Ktweak by tytydraco.
New ReadAhead option added. This allows the user to disable, or set the readahead cache to a percentage of the device's memory. Default is 1 (cache disabled).
New CPUGovernorTweaks option added. When this is enabled, schedutil and interactive governor tunables are tweaked in order to increase performance. The default governor will also switch to schedutil or interactive depending on availability. Default is 1 (enabled).
Reworked CPUInputBoost option to make it more granular. You can now select from small, medium, high and max presets. For more info about them read the profile description.
Reworked CPUStuneBoost option to make it more granular. You can now select from small, medium, high and extreme presets. For more info about them read the profile description.
Installation
PpPmod allows for a fully customizable installation. The way this works is via a configuration file called PpP.profile. You will always be able to find the latest version of this file on this post. Make sure you edit this file on Notepad++ if you are opening it on Windows in order to preserve the Unix EOL format.
Requirements:
Realme UI v1 on Android 10 and display width of 1080 pixels
A working Magisk installation of v20.4 or higher
PpPmod should only be flashed via Magisk Manager
First time installation:
Place PpP.profile in /sdcard/PpPmod/ and edit it to personalize the installation to your liking
Flash the PpPmod zip via Magisk Manager
Reboot. Wait for at least a minute to let all installation options take effect.
Done
The first time you install, chances are that the PpPmod folder will not be in /sdcard, so you have to create it yourself. If you don't place PpP.profile there, the mod will be installed with the default options when you flash it and place the default PpP.profile inside /sdcard/PpPmod/.
Update to a newer version:
Open Magisk Manager and uninstall the previous version
Reboot
Wait for a couple of minutes after reboot as the uninstallation process can take some time
Install the newer version via Magisk Manager. Don't worry about changes to PpP.profile, they will be merged to your older version profile
Reboot. Wait for at least a minute to let all installation options take effect
Done
Uninstallation:
Press the waste bin icon next to the mod's name on the Magisk Manager
Reboot. Wait for a couple of minutes after reboot as the uninstallation process can take some time
Done

FAQ
Q: I just installed PpPmod and my phone has heated up and stutters, is this normal?
A: Yes, the installation process is fairly intense, and during the first boot following the installation, a lot of stuff happens in the background. Just let your phone settle for 10 minutes and it should be fine.
Q: I did all that and my phone still heats up, you liar!
A: Well, check your settings. PpPmod offers many options for tweaking, but not every one of them is suitable for all phones, or all usage patterns. In general, the higher performance settings may be fine for general usage and offer you a flagship like experience along with a high refresh rate, but will cause excessive heat and throttling during gaming.
For example, maybe a 12nm chipset shouldn't be pushed aggressively by enabling CPU boost options, especially if you game alot. You may gain a brief performance boost that will sooner or later be the cause of intense overheating, which will cause throttling, which will cause stutters. In short, try to be reasonable with your settings and expectations, PpPmod will not magically turn your mid range chipset into an SD865.
PpPmod is also not designed to work along with other magisk mods that adjust performance by altering kernel behavior. If you want to use such mods with it, try disabling every PpPmod performance setting, like:
KernelTweaks
LMK_RAM_Management
ReadAhead
DisablePeWq
DisableHotplugging
IncreaseMinGPUFreq
CPUGovernorTweaks
CPUStuneBoost
CPUInputBoost
The result may still not be ideal, but this is your best bet.
Q: My debloating options aren't working!
A: You forgot to set option IndividualDebloatSelection to 1.
Q: I think i found a bug, what is the best way to report it?
A: You should always include a detailed description of what triggers the bug, its effects, your specific phone model (including hardware characteristics like RAM and storage), firmware version, your PpP.profile and preferably a logcat from when the bug occurred.
Q: Can i be a beta tester? I swear i am awesome!
A: As long as you meet certain conditions, sure! The conditions are:
First and foremost, you must understand that beta testing doesn't mean early access. Most of the time you will have to do things that may be inconvenience you, or lead to loss of time and data (factory resets)
You should know at the very least how to setup and use adb
You should have A realme device with Android 10 and Realme UI v1
Q: Can i ask for a feature?
A: Sure, but keep in mind that PpPmod isn't primarily geared towards a specific device. So while device specific features are not out of the question, priority will be given to features that affect a range of devices.
Q: My phone isn't listed in supported devices, but it's a Realme device with Realme UI v1, Android 10 and a full HD resolution, should i give this a try?
A: Yes, as long as you don't mind resetting your data if something goes wrong, you should. That's exactly what i am trying to achieve with this mod. Normally, a new phone like for example the Realme X7 Pro would not have any options for customization on release, and may never get much due to the Mediatek soc. But PpPmod should work immediately, at least in theory. Even if there are some device specific issues i will do my best to fix them, and in the worst case scenario the phone is still safe from any permanent harm. Just reboot to recovery and reset data.
Q: PpPmod sucks and i wanna uninstall it. Must i also remove magisk?
A: NO, you don't have to and in fact you shouldn't if you don't have a reason unrelated to PpPmod, as magisk resides in your boot partition and thus unlike PpPmod, can mess with your device if you aren't careful.
Q: What does PpP mean?
A: No one knows fo sure. Some thik that it means Pro Plus Prime. Some other, less charitable persons claim it means PapaPowah instead. We may never know the truth.
Q: What do you plan for your next project?
A: Rewriting Android in Objective Cobol
Q: Is it true that you are actually a boomer?
A: Ok, that's enough. You guys have crossed the line and now i am forced to conclude this QA session.

I am stating in the description that i own a R6pro. I am also the sole developer so yes, i have used it with the r6pro. I will add some screenshots later.
We need to have magisk installed for this? For that we need twrp and the twrp flashing is sort of confusing on r6 pro.

You do need magisk for this. You can root the device without twrp but this is outside of the scope of this thread. Still, flashing PBRP seems easy enough to me.
Thank you for this Rom. Unique approach. I tried to remove several Realme apps specially the annoying stuffs like app market, game center, video, browser etc and inserted value '1' in the config but it didn't debloat anything. Did I do anything wrong? I wish if it also had some option to remove ads from os. Can I remove this in magisk and reinstall it back without losing other essential apps and my data?

Yes, you forgot to set IndividualDebloatSelection to 1, i should have made it more obvious in instructions. Yes, you can remove it in magisk and you will retain your app data. There are some exceptions to that like Fdroid, which hangs at startup if you don't fully remove it, but most other apps installed by this mod will have no issues.
I should probably clarify that apps that are unrelated to PpPmod remain completely unaffected by its installation or uninstallation.

Corrected that. Works awesome. Since Realme doesn't have many options as MiUi based custom OS like Xiaomi.eu, RevolutionOS, or MiUi Pro, this PpPmod is the best we possibly have for Realme OS and as a Magisk module, it's so easy and a lot less risky to play with. Keep improving it. Thanks a lot!

Thanks, i intend to. Concerning ads, i don't see any in the EU firmware i am using, so you can try flashing that. You can also install F-droid via PpP and use it to install adaway.

Hi, how are you doing? Can't you teach me to install YouTube vanced with root? I have not managed to remove the verification of signatures with lucky patcher reboot and it does not do the patch, please help me since I saw that in this module you put some vanced youtube aside, help me and explain how to install it but with root !!
Hi! is it ok to flash EU firmware in Indian Realme 6 Pro? It's good to know EU Rom don't come with ads. Which tool shall I use to do so?

I am not sure tbh. I know people do it with their Realme 6 but this is the same model. The RMX2061 and RMX2063 might actually be physically different, especially concerning the radio.
I noticed the option for locking down all apps to 90hz, but I do not notice any major differences, I assume it's because those apps have to be coded for 90Hz? or this mods forces 90Hz on non 90Hz apps?
---------- Post added at 07:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:53 AM ----------
Flashed the mod, I left out the options for tweaking kernel and all of that, except for some RAM management tweaked, which seemed interesting, I focused on the locked 90hz screen and some personalization things, like fonts, launcher, gcam, etc.
Even this no kernel modifications made, phone started heating up way more than before the mod, I assumed it was due to the screen being locked at 90Hz, but at the same time, I noticed no difference in refresh rate in general apps, and also, as a matter of fact, the phone began stuttering a lot, and having performance issues after installing, some apps froze even. I did at least 5 reboots, with 20 mins in between to test things, but same issues.
I do like the idea of this being a Magisk Mod, and I will definitely give it another try, but will take a little longer to tweak the config.
Although I would definitely accept some advice either from OP or from someone else who try this

Could you attach your PpP.profile? Also can you be more specific about your issues?
Which apps did freeze and what action triggered the freeze?
What is your R6pro model type, ROM version and hardware configuration?
Have you installed any other magisk mods? If yes which ones?
Concerning the 90hz mode, you need to set it in PpP.profile before installing the mod, set the display to 90hz in display settings and have restarted the phone twice after installation (that last one is a bug, it will be fixed in the next update). To make sure it's working, install firefox beta and go to the ufo test page (Google it). If you get 90hz the mod works correctly.

Is there any problem with Advanced Debloat, or is it only recommendation for users with no experience?
Congrats...
Looking forward to trying out the rom
Thanks
For everyone, who wonders how to pass SafetyNet, can check this post. It worked for me, but it's not like in One UI 2.5 with WW kernel. Yes, you will pass it, yes apps will run. But Netflix quality is pretty bad and bank apps don't work with a fingerprint. However, the room seems very smooth and stable <3

twrp 3.3.1.1 or 3.3.1.0...?
because here in guide at xda recommendation is twrp 3.3.1.1,
while at Alex insta page, at graphically demo its recommended twrp is 3.3.1.0.
so which version exactly to follow.?
After following three times the installation process as mentioned in the original post my device keeps crashing. The home screen starts blinking black, does not respond to touch, and after a few seconds the message "System UI isn't responding" appears.
I will try to debug through ADB if i'm able to enable developer options first.
Thank you so much for your effort.
Device: G960F
Installation: TWRP 3.3.1.1 - No debloat - Clean install (format then wipe)
Edit: I've seen in the Note9 thread there is a kernel fix for the S9, i will install it and give report.
Edit2: Ok, everything working perfectly after flashing the kernel
Does '2. Home Button pressure is not fully supported since S10/N10' mean unlock the device by pressing the 'invisible" homebutton is not existing/working?

Just, do not rely on this button. Feels like is working when u are on aod screen.
1. AOD screen always shows text "Charging" next to the battery percentage, even though it is not charging atm.
2. Controlling USB mode (which side is controller, data, charging only etc.) is not working at all. Only in Developer's options
3. Android Auto is not working as well
4. Universal SafetyNet Fix works, but fingerprint doesn't work (not even with modded modules for Samsung)
On the other hand, Wireless DeX on PC is working

Android Auto is working fine for me, I just had to install it from the store
Edit: It worked in my car but not in my friends car, weird

other than this I also found that Mobile Network Data Usage on settings are force closing when I tap it. Also it shows blank "data usage" the notification panel
I confirm, Android Auto is not working
I forgot another thing: I can't see Revolut app in the Play Store at all. It even failed to install from cloud backup. (MagiskHide+renamed Magisk+Universal SafetyNet Fix)
I'm using G965N. My carrier is KT(Korea Telecom).
I heard that there's no Korea CSC in this rom.
What CSC should I have to choose?
Hello. Thank you. I'll tell you what I mean. I have a phone that is bought in installments. The previous owner stopped paying in installments, the telephone number in the contract is off. The phone can be locked when it resets to factory settings and reconnects with KNOX. KNOX GAURD can lock my phone programmatically and it will be KG state locked. I want to protect myself from this and load the soft that is decnoxed. Does your soft fulfill this function. Thank you for your answer, good man.
No root?
Hi @AlexisXDA
I have install the rom with advanced debloat on S9+
In camera app, i don't have any "portait" mode.
I miss something ?
Thanks
Hello, I'm using this rom since it came out and I have just one problem
The sound of the speakers is a bit muffled and Dolby Atmos seems not to work.
However, I'm really impressed of how well the Port works.
Hi All,
This is a revival of the original MagiskHide Props Config module.
I've been working on this all day and its finally ready to start taking fingerprint submissions so i thought id open a new thread here to reach more people.
Disclaimers -
I have copied and pasted from the original thread with a few changes where relevant.
I fully intend on handing this back over to @Didgeridoohan if they ever decide to take the reign again. Im simply just stepping in to fill a much needed void in the custom rom space.
As with any Magisk Module. This comes with risk. You can very easily break your device. I myself have a Samsung Note 10 Plus so i will be testing on my own device prior to making any releases.
I have no intention of collecting donations at all. This project depends upon the community more then myself.
What's this?
If you are wondering anything about what this module can do and how it works or if you're experiencing issues of some kind, take a look at the documentation on GitHub and see if whatever you wonder about is covered there (most things are). If they're not, look again and then post in the thread.
If you're wondering about the latest and greatest after an update, take a look at the changelog and accompanying release notes.
Prerequisites
Magisk v20.4+.
Installation
Install through the Magisk Manager Downloads section. Or, download the zip (attached below) and install through the Magisk Manager -> Modules, or from recovery. Combine a recovery installation with the use of the module configuration file and you can set up a certified fingerprint and any custom props you want without first booting on a clean flash. Instant settings.
Usage
After installing and rebooting, run the command props in terminal (you can find a terminal emulator on F-Droid or in the Play Store), and then follow the instructions to set your desired options (also see the documentation on GitHub). You might have to call su before running the command.
You can also run the command with options. Use -h for details.
Submitting Fingerprints
Now this is where you lovely people come in. There is no way ill be able to spend all my time gathering fingerprints and i have absolutely no intention of doing so. However i've made it very easy to submit your fingerprints in a way that i can process them with very little effort.

Hi. There haven't been any official releases just yet. ETA for the first beta releases are the end of this week but that's only if everything goes well and I see no issues on my tests. So far there are only Experimental releases that i have stopped uploading to the release fileshare.
Once the new build is ready I can begin working on integrating new Fingerprints from the submissions that have been given to me.
@vithuselservices I tried the latest master, and I rebooted. If I type `props` in Termux it says `No command props found`. I have the same issue with the original module though.
Any ideas how to fix this issue?
Edit: typing `su` before solves the issue..

I have a really weird question:
I have a poco f3 (europe) phone. I extracted the props from the phones original system (MIUI 13.0.8.0 EEA). I editet the original printlist in the original magisk module, added the
POCO/alioth_eea/alioth:12/SKQ1.211006.001/V13.0.8.0.SKHEUXM:user/release-keys__2022-08-01
line to it, Then flashed the modified zip, and applied the new prop settings. The YASNAC apps says it passes safetynet, and i can use all my banking app except google wallet, and there is no netflix in the ploay store. If I change the props to a value that was part of the original printlist
POCO/alioth_eea/alioth:11/RKQ1.200826.002/V12.5.3.0.RKHEUXM:user/release-keys__2021-06-01
the google wallet works and the netflix app shows itself in the play store.
Is it something that I missed from the prop values? I cannot understand this behavior.
Any advice?
Is this project still alive? I haven't seen any updates for a few weeks. Did OP just ghost us?

Hi.
This is not the case. Can you please remove this post as its highly inaccurate?
Im still here. Apologies for the lack of updates.
Ive had a lot of work come in so its delayed things somewhat but the final version is indeed ready.
Theres a final bit of testing to be conducted prior to making a official release as the last thing i want is bricked phones or settings being dropped.
The first beta release will be out by sunday.
In future can you please give more then 2 hours prior to making such a claim? Its considered rude to make such a claim without reaching out to a dev with sufficient time to reply. Your welcome to fork it yourself. Thats your right. But be more thoughtful when you spread messages like this

Hi.
I believe google is now blocking basic Attestation on newer firmware. This is something im looking into as part of my android 13 upgrade. Certain devices will work better then others. Im sorry i cannot give you a solid answer at the moment. But once im done with my current release and the fingerprints have been updated i can work on this issue. Its likely going to require device specific configurations as newer phones come out. Some people have had luck. but it seems android 12 is the turning point.

I understand your point but I don't think its about luck. I did the same thing with my OnePlus 6. In the original prop module the the latest fingerprint is:
OnePlus/OnePlus6/OnePlus6:11/RKQ1.201217.002/2109171635:user/release-keys__2021-09-01
and with that all apps and wallet was working fine as intended, an netflix and revolut was present in the play store.
I also edited the original print.sh file and added the latest available fingerpint extracted from a latest full OTA rom which is this:
OnePlus/OnePlus6/OnePlus6:11/RKQ1.201217.002/2111252325:user/release-keys__2021-11-01
It also did the exact same behavior as on the Poco F3: YASNAC reports that the Basic Integrity and the CTS Profile match is "PASS", normal banking apps works (local banks like OTP, Erste etc. with NFC payment), but Google Wallet reports that the phone is modified and not certified. Play store also lacks netflix, put reports the device is certified.
The results are the same when I create a printlist file in the root directory in the phone to use my fingerptints as a "Custom" one.
It seems it only happens when I manually add the fingerprint myself, but never with the inbuilt fingerprints. That's why I think something is missing when I use "my" fingerprints. It also the same under android 11. Tested with a Redmi Note 5 Pro LineageOS.
I'm not a dev but if I can help, I'm sure I will.

How odd.
Ill raise that as a issue on my Git and have a look at it. It likely wont be this week but ill aim to do some testing on it next week. Are you certain the build date is correct?

Absolutely! I own all the 3 phones , I also did a full stock rom recovery on all to run the getprop command to make sure the fingerprint and the patch date is correct.
Ohh and almost forgot: thank you!
Beta release is now available!
You can download it via the download repo in the first post. Please let me know if you come across issues. For this first release I do not recommend upgrading daily driver devices just yet as there could still be issues.
Not much has been changed in this release. I'm working on improving the verification process during the install process. I know a lot of people are keen to get fingerprints updated so ill be focusing on that over the next few weeks.

Same for me. After assigning a fingerprint, reboot will clear it and it reverts back to original
This is still being looked into.
Its coming to the end of the year so im having to process a lot of projects to completion in my day job. Sorry for the delay!
New Beta Build is up. This should fix the install issues users have been having.
Ill be uploading a load of fingerprints very soon. Just finishing off testing the ones i have to hand.
For the moment. Android 13 support is very hit or miss. I'm working to find a solution to this.
A future update will need the deletion of the existing module so it can properly overwrite the new install files. This will also be completed with the next update.
The module now installs without problem, but in the app itself the behavior is the same: it not applies the selected fingerprint, always shows that "not accessible file" error in all activity. It's a good start, keep up the good work

Can you try uninstalling the original module and do a clean install of this one?
Im afraid i am not able to recreate the issue at all on my device which is quite infuriating
