Ever since I have had this handset I am not notified when I get a call on WhatsApp.
On my old OnePlus, if someone rang it would wake up my screen and in full screen.
I have my phone on silent usually but still used to get the full alert in my old phone. On this phone, I have to unlock the phone and click in the top bar to see someone is calling me.
Ive fiddled with notifications and alerts but no joy.
Any ideas?
Application such as CCleaner can supress application notifications, if you have used it, try removing it from your Device. You can also try resetting notifications to default to fix this.

Anyone know how to disable the charge complete sound from this phone?
I plugged the phone in to charge and went to bed. 3 hours later the phone started beeping non-stop until I physically came down and acknowledged the notification.
What an annoying thing to happen especially since I was SLEEPING! lol
(If this has been asked before, I apologize, I tried searching for this both here and the internet and all I could find was a hack for the WindowsMobile Omnia phone).
Thanks.

put your phone on silent when you go to bed!
surely you do not sleep with your phone ringer on do you?
the alarm clock works fine when the phone is on silent.

It would be nice to be able to disable the charging complete notification, and leave all other ringers and notifications turned on. I have to leave my ringers on 24/7 for emergency work calls.

hmm
you could try reduce the notification volume down to zero at bed time, Im not sure the battery charge is regarded as notification, either that or "system" volume.
if you want that automated, get tasker, a VERY good app to automates tuff, like change your volume levels for different things at different times of day or based on location etc etc, amazing app.

I have a solution, that works perfectly, and it also means your phone wont bug you EVERY single notification (otherwise you get woken up by spam in your gmail).
1) Upgrade your firmware.. The latest firmware still has the "charged thing", but its done a different way.
2) Set your global Notification tone to silent in settings, but leave volume loud.
2) Set a tone in Messaging (so you get SMS), and any other applications you want to be notified with..
Boom, no annoying bleeping sound, and spam wont wake you.. If you have vibrate turned on though, your phone will still vibrate in your pocket when you get an email

Which firmware do you have because I've tried that but it's still not working?...
Edit --> Better yet where do you change the "global Notification tone"?
I can change the SMS tone, but I don't see the global Notification tone where I can change that to silent but still get SMS sounds?...
I use an automatic profile switcher its free from market and it sets my phone to silent at 21:00 and back to normal at 07:30 simples
Do wish 2.1 had this. I hate the fact that every notification uses the same tone from downloads complete to new emails and new text messages. It's kinda like moving backwards that you can't even set custom sms tones.

That is the file I delete to get rid off the beep that comes when the phone is charged to 100%
Been that on all firmwares/custom roms Ive been on.
I'm no longer getting vibrations on my wrist with my Gear Live. I haven't touched anything, but they just stopped. The motor does work however, I've tested it using the Phone Finder app. I've tried resetting the device, restarting the device, and making sure that it's not on mute. I can't seem to find settings for this anywhere; could someone help me out?
Edit: I love how as soon as I post this, vibration starts working again..
Could it be that certain apps aren't getting the thing to vibrate, but others are? Anyone else getting vibration notifications with Textra?
I swear vibration didn't work every time. It's so faint though that even when it does, I don't notice it

Do you get Textra to work without. Contact + ?
Watch not vibrating for text messages
I noticed my Gear Live wasn't vibrating for text messages. It seemed random whether or not it vibrated for text messages. It vibrated normally for all other notifications. I have now discovered (and I believe and hope it's a software issue) that my watch will vibrate every time for incoming texts if and only if my phone is set to silent or ring mode. If the phone is set to vibrate, my watch will not vibrate for incoming texts. My Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 on the Verizon network running Android 4.4.2. I have tried rebooting, powering down andback on, and even a factory reset all resulting in no change of behavior. Is this similar to what you were experiencing? Anyone else experiencing this?
Text message vibration not working
I also noticed I'm not getting a vibration for text messages. Not sure why, I've had the watch for a week now and this just started a day or so ago. I've also restarted and reset to factory settings with no luck. If anyone knows of the issue, please post. Thanks!

Not sure if it's a permanent fix or not, but I actually shut my phone down completely (Samsung GS4) and turned it back on. I did a couple test text messages and the watch is picking up the messages and vibrating again. Again, this could just be a band-aid but it did seem to work.
Greetings all.
I have two small issues and was curious if anyone else experienced them.
1) Every once in a while, I will have a missed call notification card on the watch and can't swipe it away (to the right). I can expand it up but basically can't get rid of it. A restart of the watch seems to do the trick. I've tried clearing the phone call history but that doesn't seem to help.
2) Secondly, Every once in a while I get a phantom alarm on the watch. I think it's a (watch) alarm I set a few weeks back via a voice "wake me up at 10:00am" command. Are these kept in a different spot that the normal phone alarms?
I'm almost thinking of doing a wipe of the watch and re-syncing my apps just to freshen up everything.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Scott
I found the old alarm...I just wasn't looking in the right spot.
However, I still get that missed call card problem from time to time. Even swiping left and going to close "close card" doesn't work. Anyone else get this?
I just flashed the stock image upgrading my Nexus to 6.0 MRA58K and for the most part love it but I have one issue that is driving me nuts and google isn't helping me.
I use GoSMS as my texting app. If the phone is awake, I get the pop up and ringtone notification when I get a text, but when the phone is asleep and I receive a text, the screen will wake up briefly showing the message but not ringtone. I have gone in to apps and set GoSMS as priority and gone through all sorts of settings to try and get it figured out with no success. Meanwhile if I get an email or even a tapatalk notification when the phone is sleeping, I will get the screen waking up and the notification ringtone just fine. I have a custom ringtone for GOSMS only so don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Anybody else run into this or know what could fix the issue?

maybe give Go notification access if you havent already? just a random thought
I'm using Galaxy S6 Active in Korea
Of course, i unlocked, and updated to 5.1.1
(i used 5.0 just few days, i can't remember how long did it maintain)
Now my phone seems to treat the vibrate profile as silent.
text message vibrations is Okay(i'm using google messenger, not basic sms app, not google hangout)
But, Call notification,FB,Gmail....and so on, all of feature which has vibration noti feature do not work now.
Actually i already did device reset once. at that time, i could get vibration notification.
but few days later, back to present state.
i googled, and i got some people who were experienced like me.
but they said various opinions about this problem such as battery saving mode, 5.1.1 updating...etc.
plus no oned replied "i fix it!"
I constantly use the vibrate profile and this is very problematic not having the phone actually vibrate because I am missing notifications a lot now.
Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix this?
plz give me your comment
I read, I think on Android central, that this occurs when power saving mode is on after updating to 5.1.1. This didn't happen on the previous software.
