FAQs
I'm getting the "The current image (boot/recovery) have been destroyed and can not boot. Please flash the correct image or contact customer service to fix it." Error, what should I do now?
Flash the vbmeta using this command :
Code:
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
I'm getting the "Invalid sparse file format at header magic" Error, does that mean that the images are corrupt?
No! Just ignore the error, if you get the "Finished" message it means that the image has been flashed without any issues.
Can I cross-flash images?(CN -> IN & vice versa)
Some users have reported that the images can't be flashed due to different partition sizes, proceed at your own risk!

And about the QPST flashable files, I have no way to obtain them, apologies!

You can't flash this on a locked bootloader, you can try flashing the COS ozip via stock recovery.

Hey
i tried to install but when its turn on its stuck or in the "realme powerd by android" screen or turn on and off(bootloop).
any solution? pls
also when i install rom from twrp wich also not booting
is write "failed to mount data/... device bussy" or something lke that any idea -maybe that is the reason?
"mount: failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/userdata at/data:device or resource busy
Hi friend, I've RMX1992AEX indian varient. I was on C_08 update before I flashed the latest C_11 via twrp. At that time I took backup of all the partition of C08 update just to be on safer side before I attempt to update C_11 via twrp.
The update was successful and the update of C_11 was running fine but due to my own mistake I cleared fbe cache from recovery the next day and my entire internal storage including data partition was encrypted and I was stuck in bootloop. I managed to boot back to system on C_11 by formatting the data partition and internal storage.
Now I want to restore the backup of C_08 back to my phone so that atleast I can get the apps and its data back.
I tried flashing the old C_08 zip over C_11 and got the error that
"this software is 1970, the current one is 1971"
Simply means I cannot flash old update over the latest one.
I tried editing the updater script and removed the line which detected the software version but I got a new twrp error :5 about which there no information on Google.
I directly tried restoring the data partition of C_08 over C_11 but got error : "createTarFork() : error 255"
Tried all the solution out there on the Internet to no help.
I wanted to know if there's any way I can get back to the old C_08 update somehow so that I can restore the old twrp backup and get back all the lost data.
I was wondering if there are and fastboot images of Realme UI for "1992AEX" model so that it can help to go back to first realme UI version using which I can flash the c_08 update and restore the data.
Or if there is any other way I can get back, please help me with it.
Fix for "The system has been destroyed" Redmi note 8/8T
This will only work for unlocked bootloader...this guide will help you recover from the System has been destroyed when trying to install custom rom or recovery or maybe some other actions!
Method 1:
1. Install the .exe from here (PC installation).
2. Download Vbmeta and copy to the installed folder.
3. Connect the phone with PC in Fastboot mode.
4. Run "cmd-here.exe" from the installed folder.
5. Run this command fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
6. Download and Flash recovery using this command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and Boot to recovery (Vol+ and Power).
7. Flash recovery.zip again in Booted recovery.
If this doesnt work try with the next method
Method 2
If you can enter fastboot screen download stock miui fastboot rom its like 3gb+. and miflash tools and flash remember in miflash tool at the bottom check the
1. clean all: this will still keep bootloader unlocked but wipe everything
2. save user data: will save your data if any and bootloader unlock
3. clean all and lock: wipe everything and will lock bootloader again
NEEDS:
1. A PC and A USB cord for your device
2. MIUI fastboot rom
3. Miflash tools
4. Xiaomi driver and ADB
5. Internet to download files

To be fair you dont even need the flash tool having the fastboot rom. Which is really nice if you are not running Windows. Just extract the fastboot package and run the script you need from the folder ( *.sh for mac and linux, bat for windows).
Worked like a charm and fixed my destryoed system.
Or you can flash vbmeta.img (which is just 4 KB) using fastboot mode. Without downloading the entire MIUI fastboot rom (1GB+)

honestly flashing full fastboot rom isn't required...
Download latest adb and fastboot package
now copy the vbmeta.img file from the fastboot rom into the platform tools folder...open command prompt in this path...connect your device in fastboot mode and flash vbmeta using following command:
Code:
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
after that flash recovery.img.
thanks @the_weird_aquarian, will try it next time if i face this again!

Download the OZIP update file

Also make sure to have vbmeta file on your PC and updated magisk image
Go to the recovery and flash the ozip update file
Then restart to recovery again and install the magisk image
And restart to fastboot then flash vbmeta using that fastboot command:
Code:
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
Then restart to system and your done

fastboot erase userdata (this will clear user data!)

You taken a risk rooting on a 12.05/6 version.thr company is pulling there security up.the first day off global 12.05 a few thousand people bricked there phone.before the end off the day they already removed the system security patch.the black market is a pain for xiaomi .if you screw up you're firmware.whell we are running on a mtk chip that's basically hoping that things can brought back. don't provide edl.if something goes wrong mtk signs in oh wait lock fastboot.its a unofficial twrp and not even for this device straight out off the box it's patchwork. If you go deeper in the updates it's just not the monthly security patch that's get updated. If you search around a lot off people can't get in recovery/fastboot and end up a hard brick.this is mtk related why is there no custum ROM why is there no eu ROM on the EU xiaomi mod base .why no twrp it's all mtk related .people should ask why I need root these days back in the old days ok I understand. If I ask people what you want to do with it then ?.Most don't give a straight answer or give reasons that you can do without root now a days.back up app data burn up the inside build most don't say that.
Yes, you can.

If you got bootloop after flashed magisk, you need to flash stock rom boot.img.
If you got bootloop after flashed TWRP, you need to flash stock rom recovery.img.
If you got bootloop (or black screen) after flashed misc partition, you need to erase misc partition.
If your device keep booting in recovery (or blackscreen), you need to erase misc partition.
Here, is the guide for erasing MISC partition: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4209299/
