alright sorry guys, I've done a search in these forums and i apologize if I'm not doing it correctly.
I was wondering if there is any software out there such as bearshare or limewire for a mobile device. Every once in a while i here a song on the radio and cant remember when i get home to download it.
I did a bit of research on google, and it seems like there was quite a bit of stuff floating around about this topic in '05 and '06, but nothing I found seemed to be new.
Thanks guys!
There have been a few I saw..I used one back in 2007 but it was deactivated and the project was trashed. Ill do some more searching and see what I can dig up.

look for and app called Music ID, it listens to the song and finds the title and name of the artist, but requires a data connection.
ya i can always look up lyrics on google too, but it'd be much cooler if i could download straight from my phone because I'm rarely home.
thanks guys i'll check some stuff out

considering he/most people would use it to download "free stuff".....would it be wrong for him to just download a "free version" of that app

These are quite outdated since now jerpelea have left due to broken X1. And second thread does not have anything to do with developers left.
Anyway, i hope devs are only having exam period and they will be back soon. Or at least i hope we join with xdaandroid soon to boost development speed.
i have given up hope on the android for x1 when it went to a site that you had to join to access the files.
I went back to sony p1i, i found out i was spending to much time configuring the phone and i just needed to call and text.

We should buy it for jerpelea...
yeah, i miss my p1i for the reliability. apparently, the more complex the software (or OS) the more configuring, tinkering and tweaking is involved.
i might just get a non-android or non-windows phone just to get away from all this flashing just so i can spend more time talking/texting than waiting/configuring.
i love how i was able to quickly pull out my phone, right away send a txt, and put it away. now i am spending 3 to 4 times more time doing the same thing. i love my phone to death and tweaking has its upside, but i think i'm done for now.
don't worry i'm not getting an iphone.. i'll probably get a nokia n8.
** i just realized how off-topic this post was... lol**

I agree that would awesome to get jerpelea back to this project. But $350 for a 5 month old Xperia GTFO, you can get one brand new for cheaper. Edit: I just searched, hehe I guess you can't get a brand new one for $350, the lowest I found was 369 and the rest were $400+.
i have seen them for lower then €100 on a dutch sort of ebay

I just got my Chromecast and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. But the downfall that I see is that there doesn't seem to be anything similar to the Roku Store as a central source of information about new apps that support the device or hacks or general news or whatever. And there doesn't seem to be a way to really search the Android Play Store for apps that support the device. Does anyone know of a blog or web site devoted to announcements of the latest apps that support Chromecast? Or is there maybe an Android app that curates the latest news?

Thanks. I'd seen that link early on before there was a lot of other stuff posted on it. I have subscribed to it now though. I'm looking for something akin to AndroidCentral or something like a Drippler app for Chromecast. Surprised that no one has even registered CromeCastCentral.com yet. It would be a great URL for a blog on the topic.

Seems like so much of the stuff out there is developer/hacker related or otherwise technical in nature and not oriented to the consumer yet. I'm sure it will come though. There just needs to be something with an RSS feed that announces firmware and hardware updates, tips and tricks, and new programs or apps that are now supporting Chromecast.

If you are a Google+ member, there are some great people and pages to follow, including Google and Google employees. There are also Chromecast communities.

Cool! I think one needed tutorial is playlists. For example, how one can go about taking control from another device and changing what is playing versus adding to a play queue from another device. Even adding to a YouTube playlist from the computer is something I haven't figured out yet. Sending an entire YouTube playlist is fairly easy, but how do you add to it? How can someone ELSE add to it? IDK. But it is a perfect topic for a tutorial!

Using Google Search starting or ending it with "XDA" can sometimes dredge up better/more results. Google Search is actually how I became aware of this site many years ago.
i have been a spectator to this site for a long time. Now i decided to register. I m very bad at rom and stuff. I devices i own are SM-T113. I m currently waiting for developers to develop good stuff for this tab. see you around

Hi guys. Just joined to see if anyone can point me in the right direction. Recently bought an Erisin head unit. Wondering if anyone has a solution to swap from LHD to RHD. It's bugging me when I open my doors and it shows the opposite side. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Door open indicators reversed (My car is RHD) - is there a setting somewhere ?
Sorry - this is my first post which I hope I'm putting in the right area. I have an Erisin Android 8 unit designed for VW with the custom connector on the back - Installed today. Most things seem to be working fine but when I open the drivers...
forum.xda-developers.com
I got an email from Erisin. From memory....I think you have to go to settings....car settings....factory settings.....enter code 126.....canbus settings then you should find the door settings in there.
