[Q] Will upgrade of firmware lock my SGS???

Hii,
I got Samsung S GT i9000 from Orange UK network. I have unlocked it in INDIA and am using it in INDIA. Recently when I was changing my SIM unfortunately the phone got locked and it was asking unlock code. I searched in XDA forums about unlock and heard that the unlock code will be in the phone itself and got the unlock code and have unlocked it. My question is right now my SGS is version 2.1.Now I wanted to update to froyo. If I upgrade my SGS will my phone be locked. And if at all it is locked can I use the old network unlock code or will the unlock code change if I upgrade my SGS?
Clearly I want to know whether the network unlock code will be unique to a mobile or will it change with update of firm ware...........

once unlocked it will stay unlocked.
and it by any chance it does re-lock, your original unlock code will work

As far as I experienced it, upgrading will not lock ist.

I also want to know how to install themes on my SGS. The build numberpresent in my SGS was ECLAIR.BVJG2 and firmware was 2.1-updae1. How can I install themes and what themes can be installed for my firmware version???

Try romkitchen.org. U can get themes for froyo from there

Hi. Is it possible install interop unlock my samsung ativ s with GDR3 update?

If you got the retail update (as opposed to just the developer program updates) then you'll need to flash an older version. Depending on which model of ATIV S it is, there are different steps to follow.

As stated GoodDayToDie, if you are GDR3 it will downgrade back to a version of post-GDR3 (eg GDR2).
Once in post-GDR3 version, it will have to do this.

I think you mean pre-GDR3, not post- but in general, yeah.

Ativ S unlock

Hello Guys,
I have a Question and I have searched on Google for an easy Answer but cannot find.
I understood that when I bought me an Ativ S and its on GDR1 then I can install GDR2
and have then the ability to interop unlock the Device. But if I go to GDR3 the unlock will
be removed and there is (at the moment) no way to install unsigned apps?
Is there an GDR3 Update that exclued the Patch for interop unlock?
Or should I stay on GDR2?
At the Moment Iam an owner of an HTC HD7 with Windows Phone 7.8 so I know the possibilities of interop unlock, provxml and other stuff.
