Is it possible to test a custom rom on computer ?
I am looking for an info about emulate rom.
I found a few thing but all are out of date.

I know some IDEs like eclipse have a plugin to test your apps in an emulated environment, what I don't know is if you can actually change it's rom to a custom one. I might try it.

There must be. Because the SDK's are exactly that virtual device on you're PC. Now having the option to load custom ROM in the SDK that's indeed interesting.

That's the only relevant thing I've found so far. Not sure if it is any use at all as reading the comments noonday confirms that it is working. There was article on Modaco too about how to run Cyanogen on the SDK.
P.S as it happens or own xda comes with am answer

The thread is for x10 but as the author explains it should be the same for different devices

It's true, I have tried that emulator. It would be very interesting to know if the base ROM can be changed for a MOD to try it on the PC before flashing.
Does anyone know if this is possible??

Simply speaking ,it is a bootloader replacement(or a modified bootloader) by which u can install multiple ROMs and recoveries at same time.U can run a miui ROM,aosp rom,Ubuntu Linux and u don't need any patched kernel or a multirom recovery or multirom supported rom .And no need of confirmation if a ROM can be booted as secondary or primary ROM as there is no terms like that.
@deeps7515 @preetnoobie
Bootloader is the first thing that get loaded in the memory after the device starts. Once the bootloader gets loaded in the memory, it handles OS initialization, and the OS initiates only after that point.
The goal of this project is to generify the process of bootloading, so that any ROM or any kernel can be loaded into memory without any kind of modification at all, through some universal architechture. The technical details are vast enough and quite frankly, even I don't understand many of that.
TL;DR
It will make multibooting buttery smooth in our devices.
if i am not wrong .. now we can also install complete armhf based linux distros??

All variant....I think.... bcz all have snapdragon.
This would mean Sailfish can boot without modifications and possibly without breaking primary ROM. Exciting stuff

Well sadly, sailfish still requires some work to be done because of the hardcoded system.mount, and I directly jump into it after I publish the first beta. Right now, I'm experiencing some weird bug that apparantly noone has faced before, and that's why the build is taking longer than expected.
Stay tuned.
Excited..
