sorry but with this link i get, its not availible in your region (germany) can you provide us an apk or tell us what version we need to download from apkmirror?

I have old an version 2.5.052
Latest version 3.1.0 or later is not working properly because its camcorder is not opening..okay i will forward u that link soon..

That's the same as downloading Google camera directly from Playstore I guess?
And, by using the link you posted, it replaces the stock camera that we have? (the stock in the G5 Plus is the moto one, which is quite good actually, don't want to loose it)

It's not the same as downloading; the zip as-is writes to System. I'm not sure if it wipes the Moto Camera. You'd have to check the internal script file to do that.
I pointed out these zip archives as they're a source for the Google Camera app.
EDIT: The installer removes the following:
delete_recursive("/system/app/GoogleCamera","/system/app/Camera2","/system/app/OpenCamera","/system/app/Snap","/system/priv-app/Snap","/system/app/SnapdragonCamera");

MIUI 10 can't enable camera2 API?

Dear Redmi 4X users,
I am facing an issue about enabling camera2 API since i update my redmi 4x MIUI 9 to MIUI 10.1 i have try enabling with magisk and modify build.prop but doesnt work, usually on MIUI 9 its work fine.
anyone know another way to enabling camera2 api on redmi 4x MIUI 10.1?

What error you are getting?
Try editing build prop with different app.
Check if your device properly rooted if not then try again with latest magisk module stable/beta.

Error open the google camera app, build.prop has been edited with root explorer and have been saved. my device already rooted by magisk i use magisk v17.1, I have also tried using the "manual camera compatibility test" app to test whether my redmi 4x support camera2 api but the results still do not support, usually at MIUI 9 after edit build prop and I test using "manual camera compatibility test" app the result is supported.

No, i was talking about what error you are getting when you edit build.prop and not when opening google camera app.

hope you've edited like above.
Try using BuildProp Editor by JRummy Apps used to use this app and it worked always fine without any issue, it also has option to save and backup build.prop.
even if this does not works then try editing on PC.

After flash this, MIUI 10 default camera crash .. how come ?? xiaomi.eu MIUI 10 version latest stable not beta.
But GCam work. Strange .. I'am somewhat happy... at last / at least it works.

Actually, Xiaomi disabled or removed or not implemented camera2api in later releases. That's why Google camera app didn't work. They made their stock camera app somehow differently, so users can't use both gcam or MIUI cam. The flashable zip contains camera files from earlier MIUI ROMs, that enables camera2api. But enabling that means MIUI cam won't work. There's a solution, find MIUI cam mod in XDA threads. It will work fine.

I installed the rom and the zip file of the link, but neither gcam nor miui camera work after that, camera2 probe crashes when trying to open

What version of rom are you using? stable or beta? I tested the stable and the beta, it did not work in either of them, does anyone have any idea why it did not work for me and worked for you?

Check in the modules tab in magisk manager. uninstall it.

ARCore

Anyone had any luck having ARCore applications run on the Mi 9? I could install it but trying to use it inside of an app (Pokemon GO) causes the app to freeze with a black screen.

After following Mr. cd993's guide to installing the MIUI EU ROM last night, I was successfully able to sideload and use ARCore without any apps crashing. I believe this might be down to the fact that the EU ROM has enabled the 'camera2' api? Unsure, but it works
The guide I followed is below, with the added step of downloading the ARCore application from apkmirror —

To clarify the game works fine – but trying to utalise the 'AR+' functionality (taking photos of Pokemon in AR) after installing the ARCore.apk myself, causes the game to freeze.
I know this device is not officially supported by ARCore but was hoping there might be a way to get it working anyway.

I just installed the apk for ARCore on mi Mi 9 from here:
github.com/google-ar/arcore-android-sdk/releases
some of the functionalities doesn't work as expected but at least the basics are working.

Best camera application with lens choice for custom ROM

Hi,
I am running a custom ROM, crdroid, on my Mi9T pro. I have installed GCam which seems to be a great camera application but it doesn't support the lens choice.
I saw that ANX can do that, is it the only application and the best to do that?
I saw on the website a lot of apk version for this application which by the way take a lot of space! I don't know which one to choose between all ANXCameraUnity files.
And there are also a ANXFrameworkUnity file, do I need to install it?

flash ANX camera 184 then 48MP fix and done...
on first launch if camera closes automatically then go to App Info and allow permissions manually.

I tried the proposed version, and even with the autorisation set manually, the application close each time a take a picture... Furthermore, they are some problems displaying the sheetings as you can see in the attached screenshot.

Question Looking for Mi Browser APK from EU ROM

I really liked using the Mi Browser on the EU ROM however now that I have made the switch to the Global Rom on my Ultra, I miss using the Mi Browser. Does anyone have the apk or can someone extract it for me? Thanks in advance amigos.

Hello, could you please extract the new xiaomi eu system launcher from this week? Should be beta 22/5/11. Tried to extract it from fastboot file, got the apk file but it doesnt have androidmanifest file so couldnt be installed. Thanks

Says "package cannot be installed, because isnt valid" or something like that...

I cannot help that. It is extracted using APK extractor as I always do. Can you not try to extract the manifest from it for your version?
From my experience, I have troubles installing system apps over system apps on the Xiaomi EU ROM. May be someone else can help?....

I found today telegram channel with extracted apps and i tried to install some with google package installer, music was successful, miui launcher from there was also corrupted file as yours and gallery was error too cuz same app package name XD
