Which version to install? JBBL or Normal?

hi guys,
i don't know which version to install in my atrix HD, i got a Cyanogen M7 at the moment installed on it. I've read that's about the bootloader i have, but i don't know how to check it. Can you help me?
You probably have the JB bootloader as the only other bootloader is ICS and I don't think M7 will run on an ICS bootloader.
well... i'm not sure, but when i bought the atrix it was running JB 4.1.1 .... so i suppose i'm an idiot LOL
so... ehmmmm whenever i don't have a JB bootloader, what hapens if i try to flash a JBBL rom?
Many older ROMs will run on newer bootloaders. If you don't have the correct bootloader for the ROM, the install will fail with an assert error.
You have the jellybean bootloader bro
thanks guys!

ALL AHDs have the JB BL b/c we have not been upgraded to KK yet.
If you want an updated version of CM on your device, you need the ones built for JB bootloader: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=moto_msm8960_jbbl

. I downgraded a galaxy S5 running on cm13 to cm5.1.1 without any issues. I just flashed it using CWM Recovery. I don't know if can be done on Moto g2nd gen without bricking. I think the bricking problem is only if you downgrade using the stock OTA firmware.

[Q] Custom ROM + Fully Rooted.

Hey,
I would like some help from you guys.
It's been a while since I put a custom rom on my previous phone.
So if possible I would like a comprehensive explanation.
Right now I have Emui 3.1 installed on my P7 L10.
I would like to install a custom rom but I'm not sure I got my bootloader unlocked.
If possible I would like to know how to unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom with full root.
I did some research already on the internet but all the explanations are so short.
The rom I want to have installed on my P7 L10 is the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/development/rom-rom-v3-1-emui-3-0-t2977409
I hope someone want to help me with this.
Greetings,
Jornie

I'm afraid you will not be able to install that rom, since it is meant for emui 3.0 not 3.1
The only working custom ROM for lollipop is the Miui rom and that's it. All the other Roms are based on kitkat.

Isn't it possible to downgrade from 3.1 to 3.0?
And even if my bootloader is locked to 2.3??

It is possible and there are many guides out there which tell you how to unlock your bootloader. Just don't try to flash that rom while on lollipop.

I know, but I think the guides are not detailed enough of the download links are not working.
Just ignore that it says b805, because it works with all of lollipop firmwares.

Are Android One bootloaders unlocked already?

Hello everyone. I just wanted to know if Android One First-Gen phones have unlocked bootloaders cos I am going to root my QMobile A1 and install a recovery on it to flash a Nougat ROM later on. If it's locked then how can I unlock it? Thanks for helping!

[Q] Nougat method for EVA-L19C605B135

Greetings, I bought today a new Huawei P9 (EVA-L19C605B135).
Looking around xda and other forums, and I couldn't find any guide or hint to make this particular build update to Nougat.
I read that is able to debrand this phone (I don't what that mean and how to do that btw) and install a custom ROM with the latest firmware... my question is, can anyone could guide me through this process? do I need to unlock bootloader? roo? twrp?
I have it just out of the box.
Please, I would really appreciate any help guys, I'm new at huawei. (had a moto for 4 years, stolen last week)
Thanks in advance. Just need a little push.
EDIT: NEVERMIND! Just got the official nougat update, thanks.
