I have just updated the ROG 3 from Android 11 to Android 12 Version WW-31.0210.0210.230 succesfully. Unfortunately I lost root and TWRP even after I flashed the TWRP_Flash_tpposite_Slot-CPTBv2.zip . I have installed the latest TWRP twrp-3.6.2_12-0-I003D.img succesfully (thanks Captain_Throwback for the file). and tried to root with Magisk. It succesfully flashed in TWRP, but the boot took endless. After many tries, I have used the stock boot in the Magisk app 25.1(25100) to patch it. Even flashing the patched version I could't have a succesfull boot. Anyone has a clue what I am doing wrong?

(My android version is 7.1.1 and i'm using the stock rom). I'm flashing the zip file with TWRP, everything seems fine but after restarting I don't have root access. Magisk says that I didn't have installed the zip (I have OEM unlock enabled). Do I have to boot from recovery to activate Magisk (but that was for Android 9.0+ right) ? I found some tutorials on Youtube but they weren't as it worked for them but not for me. I would really like some help as I don't know what to do.
[Solved]: Installed version 18.1 which worked for me
Hello,
I have been struggling to root my device. I have not wiped and rooted it in some time and now coming back to it again magisk keeps breaking my device.
I have clean flashed the latest android 9.0.0 build. I have flashed TWRP custom recovery 3.3.0 successfully. I have tried to flash magisk 3 times now and afterwards my phone wont boot. I originally used magisk manager to get the latest zip and patch my boot image. I then rebooted to to bootloader and ran fast boot flash boot patched_Magisk.img. This wiped out my twrp recovery and my phone wouldn't boot, i couldn't get back into twrp recovery. I reflashed latest 9.0 build and wiped everything. I flashed twrp again and tried to flash Magisk 20.0 from recovery. It was successful but again i couldn't boot into my phone and it eventually restarted back into recovery which i still had twrp this time. I then tried it again with 19.3 and the same thing happened. can anyone tell me what is going on here? What am I missing? I have been having reflash factory 9.0 build each time just to get it to remove the patched boot image and boot up again.
Was either the TWRP version or the two check boxes it has now to install twrp app as system. Installed 3.2.3-1 and didnt install the twrp app through the recovery check boxes and it worked.
normally i just update my phone and install the latest magisk, but now rooting just makes the phone bootloop, miui ver 20.6.4 and the previous weeks update did the same. dose anyone else have the issue? perhaps rooting method changed?

I don't think that there is some changes in rooting method because I followed :
1.Unlock bootloader
2.Flashed TWRP
3.Flashed magisk
4.Configured magisk app after normal boot
And confirmed, my device is rooted !!
Got it to work. But I had to manually patch my boot image myself and then fully uninstall magisk then flash modded boot img.
I updated my magisk manager to the latest version 22000 and i lost root after I did direct install, I tried flashing the patched boot image with fastboot and I also did a clean flash of my phone and replaced my stock image with the patched boot image but magisk manager is still asking me to install magisk, I also tried with the latest canary build but same thing, I'm frustrated already.
My phone is Itel A11 running Android 6.0
Correct magisk version for SM-A600FN running android 10. Ive tried a number of guides and versions of magisk to no look. the latest guide ive used is https://www.thecustomdroid.com/install-twrp-root-samsung-galaxy-a6-2018-guide/.
Currently in boot loop but i can get back into twrp. My next attempt im trying to download https://samfrew.com/model/SM-A600FN/ and reflash stock.
any up to date advise on how to magisk root
A600FN rooting is simple:
1. Unlock bootloader.
2. Flash TWRP or OrangeFox via Odin.
3. Download latest Magisk, and rename Magisk.apk to Magisk.zip.
4. Flash that Magisk.zip like any other zip in TWRP.
5. Reboot to system.
