So funny, we have beta versions with fixed notifications since months! And Xiaomi only releases security patches for stable ROMs... I guess they are focused on Android Q and MIUI 11 so we can't expect anything new on Pie but the good news is that it's planned for Mid October for Mi 9 so we don't have to wait too much more

Wow...I just don't get why this is has been such a pain for them to correct...
The changelog is the same as the latest 10.2.30.0 EEA ROM
It's great to know that this update is finally out for everyone else

There is no Digital Wellbeing in latest EEA ROM or I'm missing something.
DC Dimming is not working like it should be, at least with me, namely when I turn this option on, on broad day light i get some strange pulsing backlight behavior.

DC Dimming works for me with none of your problems, but I don't like the colors and how it looks at low light. I don't really have a problem with flicker at low light so I don't use it.

Glad to hear it that everything is working for You as it should.
Now, it's hard to describe this issue I have and I will not describe this as flickering rather as background light goes from high to low in intensity, like that it's following some amplitude of very low frequency (few Hertz's).
Though I didn't noticed any discoloration when DC Dimming is active.

By flickering I meant the flicker at low screen light that DC-dimming (anti-flicker) is supposed to remedy. Not everyone sees that flicker, or at least isn’t sensitive to it.
I don’t really know if it’s discoloration or if it’s just that the contrast is off or something else that makes me feel uneasy with the screen at low light and DC-dimming enabled.

I personally did noticed this "flickering" at low light environment-screen so I see this flicker but fortunately it wasn't such a big issue to me.
When this new iteration of ROM has came to life and inside was this new DC dimming option, I have told to my self "hey, look at this, excellent" but to my disappointment, i have this issue. I believe that this will be solved in new ROM, as always with Xiaomi developers, two steps forward, one step back!
At me, when this option is activated, i personally didn't noticed or felt any uneasiness, discomfort or anything like that?!
Strange!
P.S.
Maybe I have some issue with light intensity sensor but I have tested sensor in CIT and everything was as it should be?!
Strange!
Updater app is really buggy. I have to let screen turn on and update open or download speed will reduce to 50 kbps.
On time download 520 MB and after reboot failed to install. next time It's download 2.4G update file. I had to clear data updater app.
by the way after a few hours It's downloaded and installed successfully.
After update I noticed that I have something is downloading and take total of bandwidth! finally I found it with WatchDog 3G app. yes it was Updater download and download again and again and never stop.
So I had to go to updater and check for updater, as soon as I tap to check update the download progress bar appeared so I tapped and download stopped.
XIAOMI is a great company but they didn't pay attention to softwares very much.
I hope MIUI 11 will change my idea.

Yes you can, you can even install Xiaomi.eu ROM which is based on the Chinese beta versions, plus it removes useless Chinese things for non-Chinese users and some optimizations are made

I jumped from stock CN firmware to XiaomiEU and I noticed that my YouTube running on 60Hz...this is how to fix it back to 120hz all the time. This is method gonna change you refresh rate to 120Hz everywhere including games, and it will stay after restarting ur phone
Attached screenshot
I think videos on YouTube are max 60 FPS so no real point in any higher than 60hz. That was my understanding anyway I could be well off.
I would gladly make it so that the refresh drops to the content I'm watching ( like YouTube to 60 ) but it seems to be stuck on 120hz always... that's why I set it to 90hz and it's much better now . It's a very good compromise between battery drain and viewing experience imo.
Cheers !

Correct, videos on YT are 60FPS max. However I think OP simply meant 120Hz when scrolling in the YouTube app

Nope, it doesn't work in my 11 Ultra global rom. What i did was clear the cache of battery and performance apps and it will become 120Hz everywhere. However it will revert back once restarted.
I am not sure if this will work with xiaomi devices but for those who want to test/try, check galaxy max hz

Damn thx bruh. I'm getting 120 on yt now. Was trying to find out how to get this done. Idk I came across stuff like to clear the battery app. Weird.
Anyway thx! This helped a ton!
It doesn't work really well though as after watching a video YouTube goes back to 60hz, I found the solution with forcing 120hz via custom props for those who have root
Thanks, it worked on my Poco F3
Thanks it worked on mi 11.

The swich between 120 and 60 or between 90 or 60 (when setting the refresh rate manually) on Mi 11 Pro is driving me crazy. The reason is that the screen flickers eveytime it switches refresh rate. I really need to set 90hz or 120hz permanently but none of the solutions above works for me. Is there any other way to fix the refresh rate to a given number? 60hz is too low.
You can do ot with terminal if you have root or via ADB if not

I used this app before. I now suspect that my problems with flicker started some time after I changed the refresh rate to 90hz using setedit. Anyway, I recently did a clean install of MIUI 13 (Xiaomi EU) and the flicker is gone. I use the default 120 hz mode now and get more or less the same battery life as when I used 90hz. Before I did a clean flash it did not work using ADB commands either. Even if I set both minimum or maximun refresh rate to 90 it jumped between 60 and 90 constantly.

That is 13.0.2.0 to 13.0.4.0 OTA update
Updates I found,
-refresh rate bug (an issue where refresh rate drops when unlocking phone so have to lock and unlock it again)
-finger print reader fix (now finger print is faster and reading correctly, since update 0 fails to unlock device (earlier, I had failures a few times a day and sometimes it does not read the first finger until I use another)
-notifications behaviour while gaming has improved.
Those what I found so far.
Good to hear the framerate drop has been solved

Hi ,
I faced few bugs after after to SKAMIXM 13.0.4.0
1. Swipe up gesture in full screen gesture mode is not working for stock settings app(eg AutoStart page and Sound and Vibration page) when using display resolution WQHD+(2k). After switched to FHD+(1k) then is working fine. Third party app will not affected by this bug.
2. When turning on Do Not Disturb, i still received notification sound when msg come in.
3. Power + Volume Down not able to screenshot
4. After update to 13.0.4.0 I facing few times, I need to reopen the whatapps and wechat to receive the msg (it seem the app is forced close even though I got enable AutoStart). I dint facing this when using 13.0.2.0.

i did not face point 1&2 of bugs you faced,
point 3, for some reason all settings went off. screen shots, double power to light, double tap screen to turn on, and a few more. had to re do all of them. you'll find them off, re activate them.
point 4, no issues at all.

Maybe before you do a reset, try to drop fps to 60 or 90? This could solve your problem.
Mine is always at 90, which is more than enough for me.
For those who are on this version after few days, did you encounter the frame drop issue?

Hi,
After I switched to 60Hz, the swipe up gesture became normal. So:
1. 2K + 60Hz = OK
2. 1K + 120Hz = Not OK
3. 2K + 120Hz = OK
4. 1K + 60Hz = OK
The Bug only happen when in 2K(WQHH+ resolution+ + 120 Refresh rate.
Could you help to verify whether u have the swipe up gesture problem in 2K + 120Hz? If yours is Ok, then i will proceed to backup my phone and do a full wipe.

Hi, I have used EvoX extensively when I was on Mi A2. Recently my RN10Pro had the front camera crashed. I am on stock ROM of MIUI 13 Global and I have been told it's a hardware issue and since I am out of warranty already, I was wondering if flashing custom ROM might fix the front camera (because I can't believe it must be the hardware). So can someone please confirm if it fixes or can point me to the proper thread because I can't find anything on this.
Nope it won't, it's a hardware issue not a software issue

Thank you for confirming. Although may I ask if there's any custom ROM that supports variable refresh rate for this device? It stays fix at either 120hz or 60hz.

is there one or what? ever since I bought this phone it has not been fixed. I already know the temporary fixes and it's just annoying to keep turning **** off every time it lags.

how fine is it? do you still get the 90hz bug or not at all? I installed Pixel so this problem would be fixed but unfortunately, it's not fixed in it.
As we discussed Here, unfortunately there's no fix, since it maybe a hardware issue, and appears to related with the energy management at processor level or mobile (5g/4g) modem of this processor.
