I first noticed that the proximity sensor doesnt turn the screen off during calls. I installed androsensor from play store and found a total of 11 sensors are "not supported." Sensor Multitool app says the same. So my initial diagnosis is that the Nougat 7.0 April 2017 security patch broke the interface between apps and sensors. Any other ideas or diagnoses?

I'm running a custom ROM on Android 7.1.2. Dirty Unicorns ROM to be more precise. I downloaded the apps you mentioned and all sensors are working. No errors or broken statistics. Maybe you should try updating to Android 7.1.1 stock firmware and see 7f that makes a difference? Google has images for Android 7.1.1. If updating or testing a custom ROM still doesn't make the sensors work then it might be a hardware problem.

I was waiting on the jump to 7.1.1 because I care more about stability than features. However, I will certainly do it now and post my result afterwards. Thanks for the info.
Do you fix the problem ?
I have the same
Hi, I have enabled HAL3 and Iam using google camera. I want to use default camera simultaneously, but doesnt work with HAL3 enabled... Please help.
Same issue here too while when enabling camera2api in MIUI (let it be any version)
It was working fine with MIUI 9 beta build of last week November 2017 (exception was using HDR, camera would crash instantly).
Later I have tried in several updates of MIUI with camera2api but stock camera doesn't works.
Not sure if they are doing intentionally because it was working fine before.

Xiaomi haven't enabled the camera2api by default in any of it's devices out of the box or in any updates.
That's what messes up default stock Mi camera as it is designed like that but on some of devices it works fine without any issue even after enabling camera2api.
Even in MIUI 10 they haven't turned on camera2api instead they have implemented portrait mode in Mi camera with own AI and deep camera software learnings.
Hi please can anyone help...
Even i enable this its not working
I tried rebooting.
Flashed the zip files
Applied via magisk
Ntng seems working....:crying:

Hi, can someone tell me when and if there will be option to record 720p slowmo on OP3T with LineageOS 15.1 ? Or if someone got this working please?
I can't do that even with modded Gcam and Magisk module for enabling HEVC and Slowmo... Ported Oneplus cam also tried... thx
Slow motion video is currently broken on all Oreo ROMs for the 3(T), OnePlus broke it in Oreo but maybe they'll fix it with the Pie update.

It will never be fixed in Oreo, especially as development is moving to Pie now. There are several Pie ROMs already. I suggest asking in those threads what the current situation is. If the camera is that important to you, you might want to stick with stock software. Custom ROMs are getting worse and worse for camera support.
I have also tried some old version of Snap camera from LineageOS and there slowmo works fine with no problems !! xD so problem isn't with the system right? In GCam mod slowmo crashes even with that HEVC+Slowmo magisk module.
