Are there any customized lock screens where you don't have to hit menu to unlock them? I don't want a program, I want a replaceable lock screen. Any help is appreciated.
I believe the only lockscreen that alows you to do a "swipe" to unlock is Lock 2.0 (which is a program). All of the Hero roms allow you to unlock by sliding the lock screen down.
Is there any way to disable key lock, i mean i want to use screen pattern lock.
i don't like to push menu button each time and then unlock the screen.
i'm using now lock 2.0, it's nice but i would like to use, android screen lock

I'm not really interested in theming my captivate very much (yet...) but I'd absolutely love to change the dumb ass lock screen... I hate the thing.
How might one go about changing this and is there a recommended replacement?

The app that most use is WidgetLocker, as it seems to be the most stable of the lock screen replacement apps. I purchased it, but don't use it because it's not quick enough for my taste.
With the stock lock screen, it's the first thing that pops up when you turn the phone on. With WidgetLocker, I would often get a brief delay where I would see the home screen before WidgetLocker kicked in. I hate that delay, so I've gone back to the stock pattern input lock screen.

Tried that, didn't do the trick. Instead of getting a brief glimpse of the stock lock screen, I instead get a brief glimpse of the home screen.
Did you use either the home replacement or the root override? With those, I rarely get the stock screen, maybe 1 in 20 times.
I sort of like the lock screen. IMO, its much better than the Samsung Fascinate's lock screen. It's standard lock screen is the jigsaw puzzle.
I like how the Captivate's lock screen can be slid any direction to unlock, seems to make it really easy for me to just grab the phone and then flick the screen in any direction with my thumb.
anybody had any luck in getting that puzzle lock screen from the vibrant or fascinate? i know we have one when a call has been missed but i want that to be the main lockscreen.
I have a XT860 from Bell and since yesterday when I unlock the phone with the upper button the screen open and I see the lock-screen less than one second and it switch automatically to the home screen.
The sliding lock-screen works only when I set a lock, (pattern, pin, password)
My phone is rooted, and I uninstalled some apps with Titanium Backup but nothing significant...
I want it to work as it use to do, but there is no option like I used to see in CM7 to mess with the lock-screen timeout or whatever it is...
I would do a factory reset.

The lock-screen works well when there is a lock pattern after it.
But I don't want it.
And without is not fun when the upper button is pressed by inadvertence.
I set my phone to lock and ask for password after 15 minutes and I do NOT want set it to "immediately", but I want to lock my phone (asking password for unlock) when I press power button (or a widget on screen).
I tied Lock Screen App, Lock Screen Widget, and Screen Off And Lock , but all of them simply set the phone to unlock screen (without password). Any solution?
