Hi everyone,
I'm johnykes, a full stack developer & part time artist
I'm here because Android somehow listens to me, IOS is not very productive and customizable and other Linux distributions lack applications.
Thank you all for contributing to this cool forum.
Have a great week!

Hello everyone
I was a long time iOS user and now switched to a Pixel Phone with CalyxOS. At the beginning I had difficulties to start but the Android community surprised me... many developers create excellent FOSS and are ready with helpful tools and solutions.
I crossed the way to the XDA forum a few times, but that I finally registered now is due to the GCam port of @cstark27 (by the way, works great thanks ).
I am mainly user and more on the newby side and joined the forum to:
- Ask questions,
- to exchange experiences,
- To get news and information about my device and ROM.
- To honor what developers and the community do.
I wish everyone a great day and soon a nice weekend

Hello Silvan and welcome to XDA!
Nice you moved to Android!, Youll find loads of knowledge and a nice community.
Enjoy your stay!
Hi,
I'm a life-long programmer with about two decades of Linux experience, and about zero when it comes to custom phones.
Currently I'm trying to get WiFi encryption working on Lineage OS 16 on a Huawei P Smart (2018), but I'll create a separate thread for that.
Looking forward to being part of the community and meeting some of you.
Welcome to XDA! Glad to have your experience here and enjoy the forums!
cheers
Hi everybody, I'm User_115, and I'm glad to be here!
I came here to learn how to do certain things at my job, and to learn as much about it as I can. I have little knowledge of this stuff, but a basic understanding of Linux terminal work.
I'm hoping to learn a lot about Android OS, customization, and it's connection to hardware.
I look forward to being a part of this community, and thanks again for having me!
