Hello dear community,
I have a problem with my Mi 11 Ultra, I been having a issue where my phone restarts randomly. (It can happen at any time, I can be on Youtube, Whatsapp, Maps, Idle, etc and the phone will suddenly flash a green screen and restart. Heavy use or light use, I cant detect a pattern .....)
I been having this Issue 2 month after I bought this phone with CHINA ROM MIUI 13
after that 2 months the restarts appeared.... (can´t remember if there was a System update or something but from April 2022 to May 2022 the phone was working excellent)
I have read that MIUI 13 in other POCO and Xiaomi Phones have the same behavior.. but cant find any solution for MI 11 ULTRA
What I have tried with no positive result:
(Wipe everything with TWRP, all the options, cache, data, interna, etc.)
Install STABLE MIUI EU ROM - Clean Install
Install Weekly MIUI EU ROM - Clean Install
Update Security app - Latest Version in APK Mirror
Delete Cache security app
Today I tried to install Global with MiFlash Tool but mi flash anti rollback check error occurred ;( (Don't know how to solve this...)
Do you think I have a defective Phone with bad Motherboard?
This is very frustrating and at this point I dont know if should buy a Xiaomi Phone again....
Any Help will be appreciated
Hi, i believe you are facing the issue when you are on wifi i am also facing same problem, when on mobile data there is no problem, can u confirm if its same? Wifi problem
in my case It happens on WiFi and mobile Data.
U can flash using platform tools to get rid of antiroll back, search for tutorial in YouTube, try miui 12.5
Global same issue..
Maybe a bad Motherboard?
So yesterday I Flashed OEM CN Rom, update with OTA and the problem persisted...
Then read about issues with restarts and Location Services in MIUI.
I Installed MIUI_EU Latest BETA ROM and deactivated location.
Right now I haven't experienced a single restart. Tomorrow I will activate location to see if the problem persists or maybe the update solved the problem.
Did anyone find a solution?
I bought mine on aliexpress and I have the same problem. It crashes and restarts numerous times a day.
Unlock bootloader and install global MIUI 13.0.4.
Very stable , no crashes/restarts.
the bootloader is unlocked. do i install the rom via fastboot or TWRP?
Both method should be fine .
If using TWRP , use format data option first, else system won't boot up.
If using Miflash use clean all but make sure don't use the lock option.

in the first 24 hours yes. it was working perfect.
Then it started to restart and crash.
without solution.
I am having the same issue....
Please look in the /root/data/vendor/ramdump folder.
I am having lots of ramdumps eating space.
So just received the phone yesterday after sending it for repair to Xiaomi All the way back to China... And this piece of trash phone still rebooting.... Never buying again a phone from this trash company... Also Giztop is so unprofessional because they didn't solved the issue ... They told me that the phone was on perfect condition and they weren't able to solve it. Thanks to them I also had to pay 250usd of taxes because they send it like if it was a new unit... Give yourself a favor and don't buy from Giztopz, they send defective phones.
Try disabling the RAM extension feature.
Or try a custom rom like EvolutionX or CrDroid.

Hi, I have a a 9T PRO, and with MIUI 10 stock test are ok. Inmediately update to oficial MIUI 11 stable, and now all games are laggy, seconds of freezes, etc.
How can fix this? my phone is not rooted, the status of unlock bootloader is in 168 hours waiting..., and I don't know how downgrade without root
Please, some fix in MIUI 11 for bug of games lag and freezes ? is a known bug or only me? the wifi cuts randomly too, is other bug?
thanks in advance
Did you make factory reset after update?
Is there option to format/clear only cache in Mi recovery?
Hi again. Yes, I make a reset factory defaults, don't work. Then I redownload the last rom and install again miui 11, don't work.
In original recovery I don't have the optión of clean cache etc.
I can install TPWR with bootloader locked? (actually 168 hours of wait for unlock)
I still with lag and Freezes on games with miui 11. Some solution?
If your phone is on warranty i suggest not to root or install twrp in order to mantain the warranty. In add to this, if you already tried factory reset, you can flash official MIUI 10 version with android 9 using fastboot and miflash tool. With this procedure, after unlocked bootloader, you preserve your warranty and revert back your android version (i did it couple of weeks ago, coming from miui 11 android 10)

COD Mobile is butter but pubg in the last update is nothing but lag and frame drops, not our phones fault.

Aw mate that sucks, definitely want to help you out with this, I use international V11.0.1.0QFKMIXM fastboot rom, I don't need root so don't have magisk and bootloader is unlocked. But recently went to lineage 17.1 for a more stock android experience plus it has the added thermal control, still works flawlessly as far as gaming is concerned. But the EU rom should work pretty much the same.
Are you rooted? Any mods?
Best I can suggest for you right now is to get the fastboot rom of your choice EU, IX ect and flash thru Miflash. Backup of all your data is essential. Keep us updated on what you plan to do

Nope, you have to unlock the bootloader First, that is wait for the hours you still have to wait. Download in the meantime the fsstboot rom of your choice (if your phone is QFKEUXM then i suggest PFKEUXM 10.3.4.0 or 10.3.3.0) and after you ulocked your bootlader with mitools, you can flash using fastboot mode. Doing so, using original rom and original tools, as xiaomi told me you should mantain also your warranty.
Btw it seems to me something is corrupted, have you already tried to do factory reset? Back up everithing in every case
Thanks to all for reply.
The phone is new, I reset Factory defaults 3 times and no luck.
My 9t oro maybe is global, not EU, then will check this. The problem is miui11 11.0.1.0 clearly I think, because With miui 10 not problems.
I Will try install other version for 9t pro, but what version I can install for my región Spain?
Correction, my 9t pro is global 11.0.1.0
I can install other version like 11.0.3 Or other with bootloader locked?
Some solution for lag and Freezes on games?

UPDATE: The problem is the SOUND IN GAMES. If I play a game with sounds ON, the game is lag and some freezes of 1 second all time. If I turned OFF all sounds, the game smooth again...
This happen in ALL GAMES, is problem of the miui 11 with Android 10 with my phone 9T PRO global... some solution please?
My wife have a Xiaomi 9T (less GPU power than my 9T PRO) and with MIUI 11 and Android 9, all games are smooth, I can't believe it... Maybe is problem of Android 10 with 9T PRO?
That is too strange...it seems something related with drivers, but they're the same for all of us in stock...i really don't know what to think, maybe you can try to do something in developers option like game driver, but actually I don't know what to suggest you rather than downgrade to miui10

After upgrading to MIUI 12 Global OTA yesterday, fingerprint unlock stopped working. When I select fingerprint unlock in settings to switch it on and enter my PIN, phone goes dark and restarts (MIUI splash screen). Any suggestions? Phone is stock and not rooted.
Additional info: from CIT menu I ran the fingerprint sensor test. Result shows: all success. Next test (Fod fingerprint input test) gives following message: Your phone has password can not enroll fingerprint information
Not sure I understand the result of this test. Phone of course has a password (required to set fingerprint unlock).

I have the same problem, also changed the screen. I hope some one find a solution for this.. Now i went back to miui11
Eu também estou com esse problema, alguém tem que saber a solução.
I have the same problem. I updated from a fresh MIUI 11.06 (i wanted to remove orangefox cfw to do OTA update) to MIUI 12 via ota update. I didn't register fingerprint in fresh 11.06
OTA went perfectly but when I tried to register fingerprint it crashed and rebooted.
My screen was also replaced a couple of months ago, if the service center uses an original screen? I don't know. I should ask. They provide 2 year warranty on installed screen so maybe they should replace it with REAL one!!

Yah, could be your phone screen not original. Did your phone screen support 5 or 10 multitouch?
and if you already replace your screen on service center and try the fingerprint please update to this thread, I want to know the reason of this bug.

Same problem
I'm having the same issue with my Redmi K20 Pro. My display was also replaced to a not original one and fingerprint was working fine at MIUI 11.
After updating via OTA to MIUI 12, it crashed every time I tried to unlock, restarting the device with an infite loop. After that, I made a factory reset, then configuration reset and reinstalled the OTA package but it still won't work.
Hope we can find a solution to this problem!
Hey everyone. I'm hoping you can help me out
I have a mi 11 running 12.5
The main camera will not focus on it.
I had this problem before, and doing a reset fixed it, but now it is permanently not focusing.
I don't know if I'm SOL or if there is something that can be done
Even if I try manual focusing it doesn't do anything
Try to download" MIUI hidden settings" in AppStore
With that u can calibrate ur camera
On mine calibration always failed
Try to wipe the cache of the camera app
If you can, just try other rom like MIUI dev version or MIUI eu.
Or just flash latest MIUI rom again via fastboot and pray for good luck.

Not needed. I came from Global and a friend from EEA ROM and both work fine. Just don't re-do the procedure again before the timer runs out, otherwise you need to wait again.
Just wait for the timer to run out, unlock your phone and use the latest fastboot-ROM from Xiaomi.eu
Welp... finally got the bootloader unlocked, flashed back to 12.0 instead of 12.5 and it's still borked
Guess it's time to throw this on eBay and see what I can get with a wonky camera
Hi All,
I received an update notification yesterday on my China Market device with Global ROM and I immediately downloaded the update to MIUI13. I had 60% battery when the download finished and after downloading it did an app optimization. After that, I hit the reboot button with 58% battery. The device turned off and since then the device is literally not showing any sign of life. it doesn't charge or show up in the ADB devices list. My MBP doesn't recognize USB in the devices list. What is the best option I have? From threads, it doesn't sound like a brick or EDL mode to me but should I still contact the EDL guy?
Just an update. I was using Macbook to test if the device is alive. MacBook Pro doesn't show any updates when you connect a new device. I plugged USB into a Windows machine installed on my Bootcamp, Windows recognized the device as Qualcomm 9008. Which is effectively in EDL mode. I have no idea how the device got into that mode but my assumption is that I had TWRP installed with BL open and when going from Android 11 to Android 12 via MIUI13, something called anti-rollback protection which was implemented by Xiaomi put the phone into EDL mode. Luckily, I am in the UK and got in touch with Xiaomi after sales, they agreed to repair it because the issue was caused by a software update.
Lesson Learned: Never update your phone via OTA to a newer android version without taking a proper backup. A really bad experience with Xiaomi. it cost me one day to try to fix and will be costing me some time to install everything back after the repair. I am seriously thinking to buy an iPhone now.

Well, finally I got in touch with the EDL guy and he fixed it smoothly. I literally had to go through a lot of documents and websites to understand the problem but he fixed it in 10 minutes. I think he is using some sort of cracked miFlashTool where he interferes with the communication between the phone and Xiaomi servers and bypasses authorization issues. I think many people are having problems at that point when following the EDL operation explained on the internet. Anyways, fixed it fairly easily and cheaply.

If you can get to fastboot, you can flash the original stock ROM. Plenty of instructions here and on the Xiaomi EU forums. You only need edl if you cannot get to fastboot.

You cannot flash anything in fastboot if bootloader is locked
In that case, you will need an edl flash to recover. But be careful that he doesn't leave it with an edl account permission or you won't be able to unlock without that edl account. Although I thought you could flash the original stock firmware that it came with back on with it locked.

im sending you link now who to contact and this is not spam
Hello same here - I guess flashed wrong version from EEA instead of EU of Android 11 - all went good but then I allowed OTA updates and finally update to MUI13 I had a brick.
Now I am in contact with one EDL guy but not certain he is legit. Can you send me PM for your contact?
I'm planning on purchasing this phone but things like this one makes me worried. Is there a risk to update the eu stable firmwares from fastboot with bootloader unlocked?
If you know how to do it, no risk.
My mi 11 ultra dies after the update, I got in touch with the edl guy and he solved the problem by putting it in version 12.5.8.0(RKAMIXM), so by the system update I updated by OTP to 13.0.2.0 SKAMIXM. The phone went into edl mode again, I contacted the edl guy and it fixed it but he said not to update via OTP again. I was wondering if you guys could tell me which version I could upgrade to. Before that happened I had TWPR installer and now I don't have it anymore also my phone is a mi 11 ultra chinese unlocked.
