Hi, im from Argentina and here the RAZR I comes whitout NFC function enabled..
Its any way to enable it like happends whit the FM radio?? (its very easy to enable it installing an app)

Goto settings/more and turn on nfc its a stock item and works fine

But my problem is that my carrier (Claro Argentina) takes off NFC function becase of local laws...of i use it will be "iligal"..
I want to know if exists a way to enable nfc option on/off.

Maybe by flashing with a another rom, eu, gb or brasil.
But you'll need to unlock the bootloader.
And you'll need to check the baseband frequency, using the one that fit with your network.

HI! the NFC function is disable in the Claro Argentina Rom, if you want all the functions of your Phone and no carrier apps instal Retail Brazilian in the thread " Fastboot files for the Razr I" works like a charm!

La verdad que ahora me puse a pensar y no se si se justifica cambiar la rom solo por el nfc...encima hace unos dias se aprobo el nfc en mi pais asi que quiza la actualizacion a jelly bean salga con nfc habilitado..voy a esperar un tiempo y sino lo hago...me da pena meterle mano...tiene menos de una semana!

It's a new phone, hence the community is still small. But they almost certainly sell an unlocked "carrier free" version of the device in Argentina that you could search for the ROM. It may be that this ROM has NFC available.
Im from argentina too and claro operator doesn't have ncf function in his firmware, flash retail brazil and do a full wipe after that. Work flawless.
Can someone post their android.hardware.nfc.xml insystem/etc/permissions? nfc apps and any nfc files in system/lib would be good too.
Hi there friends. It's my first post and i'm kinda disappointed because i bought and HTC ONE M8 sprint version but i didn't read about it before to buy it and, wow, it doesn't work in Colombia, first of all because it's sim locked (ok, i believe i can try to unlock it according XDA Forums but, second problem.. In colombia, carriers use AWS LTE band (band 4) but this ONE version doesn't have this band enabled. I wonder, bands are software locked or, actually, sprint version isn't capable of using AWS bands at all.
If answer is they are software blocked, could i unblock them installing an international rom and to be able to use my phone in here? or, i have to return phone and to ask money refund. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc., versions have different hardware? Really thank you for your help and sorry for my english.

I just purchased an S10 (Verizon) with the Hope's of using my personal and company Sim on one phone. Apparently my phone is the single sim version. I know that I can purchase and install the dual sim tray but can the software be modified to accept the second sim or is there a hardware component too? Thanks
There would likely be a hardware component as well to actually read the sim card.

There is a company called magic-sim that makes an adapter that will allow the addition of another sim. They "claim" it's just a matter of switching Sims in your phones menu. One downside is you'd only be able to use one carrier at a time, and the BIG downside, so far the newest phone they make it for is the S9, although I'd imagine they'll eventually have it for this phone.
I've been wondering the same thing. I've successfully converted a s7 edge single sim to dual sim so I know its possible with some Samsung phones. Hopefully it's the same for the S10+

My friend bought a second hand Xperia XZ2, they informed him its simlocked, he bought it anyway, he was under the impression he can just bring it to me and I can flash it will work with any sim.
So he brought the phone to me and I checked the network status using *#*#7378423#*#*
According go my research the information I received from checking the Sim status is that the phone has been hard-locked, all attempts have been tried.
If there was attempts left I could have purchased an unlock code.
I did further research and found that there is a Tool that can unlock hard-locked devices, but Im going around in circles.
Further more, shouldn't Flashtools be able to solve this for me?
I flashed the phone with the latest Firmware wiping all the data, but the sim network just doesn't work.
Help would be appreciated

Hi I've been looking for the same but where the (Pettyl) varient isn't well know so there hasn't been any developers working on this but however you can use a GSI (Generic System Image) but the only issues with it is there's no Fingerprint Sensor Support, Audio FX framework and is very laggy unless you turn the low ram mode off but you won't get a lot of ram to use 400 mb to 200 mb so yeah but you can request and ask a developer to build one for you
