NOTE: It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.

yeah, the default camera and gcam does that, whatsapp camera works fine, but not the qr scan inside whatsapp
I upgraded my Recovery to the latest OrangeFox R11.1_2, went into Recovery Format Data & then wiped dalvik, cache & Data too (after it was formatted). Flashed this ROM & Magisk 25.2 and rebooted to system - went through setup & everything seems fine.
I haven't noticed any significant issues (no overheating as yet, no spontaneous reboots or major UI crashes). Stock camera seems to be working fine as far as I can tell.
The only minor annoyances I've noticed are:
1. Why does almost every system app need a Google PlayStore update from the very start?
2. When I go to Settings-Pixelizer-Status bar & toggle 'Combined signal icons' the UI appears to crash & I'm back at the LockScreen (perhaps this would behave if I actually had 2 SIM cards inserted?)
3. Why are the Settings menu icon colours so plain & flat (I suppose this can be sorted with a suitable theme).
4. Is the only way to get rid of that hideous Google Search bar on the home screen to use a custom Launcher?
5. Is there a simple way to get rid of that dumb wide 'pill' thing below the Google Search bar without a custom Launcher?
6. Google Chrome (or any browser) isn't installed by default - I suppose thats good & bad depending on your point of view
I didn't update my Lavender firmware as I've no idea where to download it from (my kernel version is currently 4.4.205-Nexus-EAS-v10.0-CAF and Baseband 660_GEN_PACK-1.381998)
I tried to follow the instructions here to rid the UI of that Gesture Navigation Pill thing at the bottom of the screen:
Redirect Notice
Unfortunately, it seems Android 12L has 'patched' the ability to create fabricated overlays, so the suggested 'FabricateOverlay' app simply crashes when you try to add a new one.
Does anyone know a way to rid us of that Gesture Navigation Pill thing in Android 12L ?
I downloaded AndroidAuto from the PlayStore, but just get this error when I try to connect the phone to my car.

halogenOS Checklist
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another rom:
Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.
When completed, please clean flash the build!
Although you usually can dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM has the same Android version, it is not guaranteed. In case of serious
crashes please do a clean flash.
This is a ROM that is currently in an beta state.
XOS is a new generation cutting-edge OS for Android based on Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
featuring only extremely minor set of components from CyanogenMod (CM) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the CodeAuroraForums (CAF), the CyanogenMod
organization and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,

(Not finished yet)
Common stuff
Known issues:
No backlight for hardware keys
Please use Footej camera for video recording (4K supported) or Google Camera (1080p).
Navbar section in SystemUI Tuner crashes
Known issues are going to be fixed as soon as possible. We don't have infinite time.
Planned features (don't ask for these!):
Lockscreen Visualizer (This time we are going to make it ourselves. Since on CM-based ROMs the lockscreen visualizer causes the infamous QuickSettings Bug, we are making a new implementation)
Navigation bar & Hardware Keys toggles
Heads-Up toggle
Hardware buttons backlight
And more stuff I don't remember now
Highlights :
Substratum
Full media support (FFMPEG, video codecs, ...)
Great Audio quality, no distortions, no crap
Optimized many portions of the system including surfaceflinger, inputflinger, System Server, and more
Super fast boot
Superuser-capable
Great battery life
Soundmod support (not all soundmods work on Nougat, it's not our fault)
addon.d support (backups your gapps etc. when flashing new build - don't wipe system before flashing!)
init.d support
BusyBox
Disabled Access Time for all partitions (We don't need access time. When access time is enabled, it will store the exact date of the access when a file is accessed, what just wastes write cycles (in theory) and has impact in I/O performance.)
Super smooth
Signature Spoofing toggle (Support for MicroG)
Support for trusted third-party WebViews like Chrome
Long press on home for assist toggle
Security Patches in kernel
OpenGapps (Mini/Micro/Nano recommended) and Banks GApps support
Full KeyHandler & KeyDisabler support
Dexpreopt for faster (first) boot time and less space consumption on data partition
Upgrade & Boot the ROM in just 5 minutes - no more endless waiting for flashing a new build
Very high compatibility with other ROMs
Warning: You should not use SuperSU by Chainfire, as that breaks sensors on Nougat ROMs for Redmi Note 3 .
Instead, please flash this zip and install the phh's superuser app from Play Store: Phh's Superuser
How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.
Supported Kernels
Stock kernel. (Great battery - Performance ratio) (recommended)
You can actually flash any custom kernel on this rom.
CM kernels are usually supported, especially those that are delivered as an
AnyKernel package.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community.
It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed.
Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts.
LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Ty for your work
Can you already tell if it's stable and ready for daily use? How is battery life compared to stock ROM?
NFC is not working for me. Also can't get the phone working with 2 different car android auto head units.
Hi and thanks for you work on this phone!
I only tested for a short time, but there are things that need attention.
- Bluetooth audio not working for me
- FOD only active when the display is on (MIUI always on)
- When using auto-brightness and FOD: display flashes to max brightness for a second
- When using pattern and FOD: on device reboot it requests pattern input, but FOD is partially covering it up
- Notification bar looks weird in a few app (too tall) for example in LINE
- Notification bar needs like 10px of padding on the sides to make up for rounded corners
- USB debugging turns back on on device reboot
I can provide photo, video and logs if you tell me which and how.
Everything else seems to work great so far!
Battery life equal or better than MIUI (with light usage)
Thanks again and have an awesome new year!

Working hardly to fix all bugs :3
I have only 1 month with the phone and for me it has been strange to be all this time with the global stock rom.
Always in all the xiaomis I have had after unboxing I open boot, install twrp recovery and flash some custom rom, mainly the EU but also Lineage. It was an unpleasant surprise for me not to find custom rom or developers for this phone. So I appreciate very much what they are doing especially because the cell has been on the market for several months
Thx @xSylla
Thank you so much! I really can't stand MIUI, and I can't wait to flash this unofficial LineageOS or even RevengeOS. Unfortunately I use Bluetooth audio almost every day, so I have to wait at least for it to be fixed on LOS or ROS. Thank you again!
EDIT: Ho visto che sei italiana e del Sud, grande!

@descarao81, Thanks for the hard work.
You didn't mention the Android version, but I assume it's 11 (from the changelog in the 2nd post - Merge April 2021 Security Patches (android-11.0.0_r34).)
I currently have LineageOS 18.1, it has 2 major flaws, and it's kind of a deal beaker...
1st, Does this ROM have an option for auto call recording?
2nd, in LineageOS, the camera has a bug that will not allow a picture to be taken in motion (I tried a few camera apps - or maybe it's just a setting that I'm missing...), does this ROM have the same problem?
Thanks

Oh, you're right, I forgot tagging the Android version! Just edited. Thanks for letting me know.
The call recording feature is present in the stock dialer. It's working while "Hey Google" (Voice Match) is disabled.
I'm not sure what pictures in motion means but I haven't experienced big issues using the camera. Sorry for not replying to your specific question.

So if I flash this ROM I'll have auto call recording?
If so, thank you!
I'll flash it as soon as I have a chance

Taking a picture from a moving car...
When you cake a picture when you are in motion, the camera freezes until you stop moving (or put the phone down), then it will take the picture, but you will not be able to get the picture that you wanted to take...

I tried 3 different apps, they all had the same problem.
I don't think it's the apps, I think something is wrong with the camera firmware (driver) in that ROM...
Hey, I've flashed this ROM and then I couldn't set a lockscreen passcode or PIN anymore. Just swipe to unlock avaible( wheter I try to set a passcode settings app just crashes ). I had same issue in other ROMS too. Anyone knows how to fix this?

I followed other posts which told me to delete
locksettings.db
locksettings.db-shm
locksettings.db-wal
in data/system partition, but I didn't found any files in that folder expect the locksetting.db file.
@descarao81
This ROM is awesome!
Looks nice and fast!
I didn't test the camera yet, but I hope for the best...
Just 2 little things.
1. I'm getting only 3.5mb Down and 1.2mb Up in speed tests (this is average of 4 tests)
and 2nd. Can you compile the ROM without Google Apps? (I have it installed already, so I won't re-flash the ROM again, but for future users...)
See, when the GApps are embedded in the ROM, you can't revoke permissions on certain apps...
Plus, there are a few apps (like Personal Safety - which you can't revoke permissions) that you can't uninstall (unless you do it with adb - "adb shell" then "pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.safetyhub")

Try doing Format Data.
If this doesn't help I assume your bootloader is unlocked and I suggest to lock the bootloader, reboot recovery, Format Data and reboot.
If still you're not able to set a lockscreen security method:
Install ZUI 11.5.381 using QFIL.
Boot it but don't set any lockscreen security.
Install custom recovery.
Install KangOs
This is not a KangOS issue, this happens when you unlock your bootloader without removing the lockscreen security in your previous ROM. Blame Lenovo.
And I have another problem.
Is it just me, or is the Phone app a little broken?
I don't see the actual call dialog...
I can receive calls, and I can call out, but I can't interact with the call...
I don't see the incoming call (I just hear it), and I can't hangup, mute or anything...

sorry for the silly question, i'm kinda noob . Locking bootloader in a custom ROM won't brick the device?

Welcome to Zippo, this device can run custom ROMs and recoveries with locked bootloader as long as a modified vbmeta partition is installed. This modified vbmeta is included in every custom ROM so if you're now using a custom ROM you can safety lock the bootloader, just reboot to recovery after that and Format Data else the ROM won't boot. The modified vbmeta is also included in the installation of OrangeFox using QFIL.

So, what's the flashing process for this? Haven't really flashed many ROMs to my Mi 10 Lite and I'm under the impression some things have changed (previous phone was Redmi Note 4X).
Do I:
1. Reboot to Recovery
2. Download the proper ZIP for your device
3. Wipe Data/Cache/System when coming from non-AOSP ROMs
4 Flash the proper firmware
5. Flash the ROM
6. Reboot to System
or is there something else I have to do beforehand?

Adding to that, don't wipe anything else than Data and Cache, the partitions are automagically format or written by need.
When I wipe cache and format data partition I can't transfer rom file to phone using pc and I can't see any files on device using twrp app.. Tried to push file using adb sideload but twrp says encrypted fbe, any ideas?
Never mind, I suceeded

Ahh, nice to hear that it's working now.
Nevertheless, if you have any other difficulties, you can also just join our telegram group and ask for help there.
@Domac5 forgot to say, that after you wipe and format your data partition you need to "reboot to recovery" and then the partition will be ready to take your files, for the flashing process.
Thanks for the ROM, will try it asap.
Edit.
Turns out. It has many flaws. The recents are not snappy when they come up, and the there are a few lags when scrolling in the google feed (on the left hand side of the home screen), and in Google Chrome, reading the stories - even after they have loaded up form the network. This is the same for all the AOSP-like ROMs because they are compiled from the same source as far as I see.
The last version works very well, it's nice to have the pixel experience and without glitches.
Infinite thanks to the authors. I look forward to new updates
EDIT: by the way, I miss the gallery application, there is none, just google photos but it is not the same

Yep. Up to the last instruction. Flashed eu firmware, flashed pixel rom, cleared cache, reboot.
I maybe cannot express this enough, but i can tell you how it can be recreated, at least in my end.
Go to settings app, tap on battery, swipe to go to the recent apps. Then, the settings app will not go to the recents and 'join' the others and will stay there.
Moreover I saw that If I leave the app there, it will crash after a while. So far its happening on the Settings app, and on the Play Store as well.

Hey ccerrato, first of all, infinite thanks for your donation. I really really appreciate that )
But remember, none of you have to donate anything to me. You can use everything for free (obviously), as I also use this ROM as my daily driver, but if you have some money left over, feel free to do so
Coming back to the gallery "issue", there only is Google Photos on Pixel devices, hence why there is only Google Photos in PixelExperience. But if you don't want to upload your data to Google servers you can just use the app without backup functionality.

We are very excited to announce the alpha/beta of Paranoid Android Topaz, based on Android 13.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with beautiful wallpapers from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. What is Offline Charger?
can i flash miui 12.5.8??? Or which one do you recommend globally?
Read comment below.
Nice rom. Flashed it on my friend's redmi 9t and me and my friend haven't noticed any issues. I used fastboot since most custom recoveries were broken.
Here are some issues and solutions I had(not the rom's fault, just inexperience):
Had to use the --force flag on fastboot since the codename was set to bengal and my friend's was lemon.
Had to install Google's adb and fastboot drivers(https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb) due to windows not detecting fastbootd.
Very good rom and the only one I was able to flash.
can you tell me anything which was include on this rom?
any screenshot?
GApps is included or vanilla?

GApps included.
howdy..
I'm currently running PixelOS based on Android 13, but it has some stupendously annoying issues, including:
screen randomly stops turning on - it vibrates on unlock with my fingerprint, but the screen never lights up. tapping the power button to "turn off the screen" and then unlocking with my fingerprint makes it vibrate again as expected, but the screen still doesn't light up. when this occurs, the "double tap to wake" feature also stops working... only workaround is to hold the power button for 10 seconds to force a reboot.
camera randomly opens when I tap the power button - it has a "short hold" shortcut (half a second? I think?) that launches the camera, but this seems to trigger sporadically when I don't expect it to.
custom launcher randomly thinks it's no longer configured - using Apex Launcher 4.9 pops up a message every day or two to say that it's not the default launcher, while it actually still is.. setting it as my launcher again or simply dismissinng the popup makes no difference at all, the same message will inevitably pop up again in a few days.
I see the "beta 2" changelog mentions "Fixed double tap to wake", which I suspect might be related to my first issue with PixelOS.
so before I go through the fun process of changing Android and setting up all my apps.. again.. has anybody experienced any sort of daily-driver deal breaker issues with Topaz?

No, there doesn't appear to be any daily-driver deal breaker issues with this. The only problem my friend had was no aod, which he solved with an app.

awesomeness.. thanks for the feedback. I don't really care much for AOD, so that's no issue for me.
guess it's time to refresh backups then.
Hi,
Where can i find advanced restart meniu (ex. boot te recovery) and dual SIM ringtone settings?
Thank you.
Is the included kernel good, I`m curious about kernel and average battery drain since support for custom kernels is limited. also , is offline charging fixed? thanks in advance
After a week of use I can say that I am very satisfied with this rom. Leaving aside the small shortcomings (it's beta though), offline charging is working, I recommend this build.
Thank you for this great rom.

any major or minor bugs?,And how is battery life?
Major bugs didn't find, minor advanced restart meniu (ex. boot te recovery) and dual SIM ringtone settings. Battery life, i can't say because i connect a lot my phone to pc (usb cable) also to my car (android auto). I can say with confidence that it lasts almost two days. No reboots, the phone does not freeze as I experienced with other roms.
Can I sideload it using pixelos recovery or pixel experience recovery?
Or what recovery do you prefer for this build
