Call transferring

Don't know if this is Kaiser only, but since I'ts a kaiser thats giving me grief here goes...
We're using a mobile switchboard and as part of the group answering our main phonenumber I'd really like to be able to transfer calls with my Kaiser...
Normal phones (as in my last Nokia E61i as well as my N95) gives me the options to park the current call, dial my colleague and then "transfer".. I can't find this option on my Kaiser..
Is this option not available in WM6 or is it HTC that has "removed" it? Or perhaps, is there a thirdparty software to help me with it
Go to Start / Settings / Phone / Services / Call Forwarding.
I'm talking about call transferring not call forwarding..
Transfer = I answer the call, call another contact & transfer it to him..
Forward = all my calls go to another contact and/or number...
Can I push this up, cause I'm desperatly looking for this function on the kaiser.
Maybe there's some addon or a special key combination to activate call transfer on the htc kaiser?
yep - this is possible but is network dependent.
you need to put the call on HOLD.
call your colleage/2nd party.
CONFERENCE the call (so you and 2 callers can hear each other)
then YOU hang up - they are left connected and chatting (but at the expense of YOUR bill!!!)
Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the answer! I will try this when I'm back in my company.
The costs are no problem because we call each other in the company for free and the call transfer is only needed to redirect customers to the right contact but I think it's a long way round when there could be a simple option in the menu (like hold and conference). Every other mobile I know offers a direct way to do this (either a menu item called transfer or by pressing a number).

Tested it and it doesn't work. It simply quits the complete conference.
Again, maybe there's a special dialer which supports it or some kex combination to press.
I really need this feature!
Solved!
So here's the way it works on wm devices:
Get the first call and put it on hold.
Make the second call and press the number 4 followed by the green phone button.
The second call is now transferred to the first and you are finished.
Great thanks to my phone provider ONE who came up with it!
Nice find! Does not work on my Q-Mobile 1.2 Tilt with AT&T.
I get "cannot conference calls"
I contacted AT&T and they said there is no way to do it.
I did read that if your call comes in using a Google Grand Central number you can transfer it using Grand Central specific codes.

Yes, it's a "feature" that your Phone Provider must support in order to use it.
I get "cannot conference calls".
I know for a fact that the same sim when used in my old v v old ericsson r380 world phone allows me to conference multiple people.
but my kaiser (running stock) says the above message.
how can i conference calls? the phone looses part of its utility value if I am unable to use this feature. someone got any tips/ tricks for me?
p.s. i initiate both the calls...
conference call is not the same as call transfer!
You can start a conference as described by firstbuddha a few posts ago in this thread (you just shouldn't hang up if you want to stay in the conference). There's also a menu item for conference call.
If you use my method with pressing 4 and the green phone button you are trying to transfer a call which is only possible when your phone provider allows it.

Hence the meaning of a call log...it tells you exactly who you called and when. I don't think there is a fix for this but you can always change the options in the menu to show you what you want....for example. Missed Calls, Outgoing Calls, ect....
I was quite annoyed with this in the beginning. On the original ATT dialer, if you press the d-pad down instead of going to call logs it will show you the last several calls before going to your contacts list. This is what I usually used when I was using this dialer. This in turn is compacting your call log to the calls the you dialed or just received.
Hope this helps

[Q] Anyone able to transfer calls with Froyo?

With Eclair, transferring calls was super easy, just parked the first conversation, called the other one up, and pushed "Transfer" (or something similar).
It seems like this option is gone in Froyo, I can set up a conference call, but as soon as i hang up, it hangs up for everyone.
+1
Been wondering how to do this too, and so far no solution..
Anyone?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Call transfer seems to be only half-functional.
Here is how far I came:
1) call someone
2) add a call, dial the number
3) while still ringing select keys ("tastenfeld")
4) you will see that the green button in the lower left part of the screen reads "Send" now
5) push the "4" and "Send"
6) the call is beeing transferred
If the number you want to transfer to picks up before you can push the "4"+"Send" combination a conference call is established and I found no way to transfer the call from there.
I would be very grateful for s solution on how to perform a call transfer from within a conference call.
rgds,
sscala
Testet out another dialer today at work, managed to transfer a call by:
1. calling person #1.
2. switching to "dialer one"
3. calling person #2.
4. switching dialer
5. pressing "4", call button.
I'm guessing you can use "Dialer one" as default, but didn't really like it that much, so I'll just keep switching if I need to transfer anyone.
Still better than giving the incalling person the number, and asking them to call themself.
Edit: Didn't see previous post, basically the same method, but dialer one let you transfer calls after the 2nd person answers.
Any better solution when the second call is picked up?
Thanks
i am also looking for the solution to this problem

Hand-free dialing and Google Voice prompt

I've searched and searched, but because the terms are ambiguous, I haven't been able to find a solution to this.
So, I appear to be one of the only people in the world who sets Google Voice to prompt to dial "with or without Google Voice" when initiating a call. When I place the call from the dialer, it's not a problem. I just choose one or the other and I'm on my way. When I'm dialing with hands-free via Bluetooth, I long-press the button on the earpiece, then say who I want to call, and then there is silence. The phone screen will actually go off, because that's what normally happens when you start a call. The screen also locks. And that doesn't even count choosing to dial with or without Google Voice.
So basically, here are the steps to dial a call via Bluetooth, when using Google Voice, set to prompt:
1) Long-press the button on the earpiece
2) Say "Call so-and-so, mobile/home/work/etc"
3) Press power button to turn screen back on
4) Slide to unlock the phone screen
5) Choose whether to dial with/without GV
The last three steps kind of defeat the purpose of hands-free dialing. I don't like to even touch my phone when my car is moving, so my only other alternative would be to choose to always or never use GV when dialing outgoing calls. It seems like it would be simple (for someone who writes phone apps) to add in a prompt to use/not use GV. This could of course interface with an API easier than you would (power button, unlock screen, choose dial method).
Along those lines, it would be nice to be able to say the number "One" when accepting a Google Voice call, as I have it set to not automatically answer when a GV call comes in (this allows me to screen calls).
I've got my fingers crossed that someone else has gone through this and has found a solution.
Oh, and I'm currently rooted on Liberty 2.0 on .886. If flashing will help, I would definitely be up for that.

TaskerPro Call Divert/Revert?

Hi Guys,
Have seen the posts on call forwarding using the call #21* etc but Ive been too scared to pull the trigger in case i call forward but then cant cancel later.
What im trying to do is - when my "A" phone is near a particular bluetooth signal have any incomming calls forward/divert to my "B" phone. When it is no longer near (or that particular bluetooth is switched off) is have the calls come back to my "A" phone.
I see call Divert and Revert. Should i use this? I also get very confused with the exit task, ow to create and is it a seperate profile.............. or task?
If anyone can give me a step by step I'd be really grateful.
Thanks guys

I can explain this. It's a quite simple tasker operation I just did with a friend. I guess you didn't receive answers either because it's quite basic but mostly because tasker Qs are normally asked within the google groups forum/reddit.
Let me know...
