Got a China version model number PFFM20.
Managed to have Google Play installed and had essential apps installed. Google Map, Google Pay, banking apps, etc all working fine. However, tried many email apps, Gmail, Spark, Eddison Mail, etc. none of them will receive emails unless you open up the app and refresh.
Thought was battery saving issue. Turned off all battery saving options and allowed auto lauch and background activity, still wouldn't receive emails...
Anyone has the same issue?
BTW, I'm in Australia.
Thanks in advance.

So I've played with several roms and because I like the older calender and contact apps for their syncing (or lack of problems syncing) with facebook etc. I am currently using GB. Firmware 2.3.3.
So my issue is this... several of my apps constantly require logging in. I've even had some widgets not work. A data tracking widget kept saying to input settings, a weather app kept asking for my area, words with friends would even give me a notification but when I clicked it I was then told to login. What am I missing? Any recommendations to fix this so that my apps don't constantly require me to log in?
I have a stock HTC one
all I have done is freeze some of the apps as per the list on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1681729
Sadly I left the email setup to last ( having set up all the contacts, apps etc) and the mail prog seems to be crashing.
I could just manage to set one account at and received a test email, which I could reply to but that's it.
when I open it it is incredibly slow and I cant get the menu button to work , the back button also doesn't work.
eventually I get a message saying that mail has stopped working.
I will try enabling everything and see if that makes it work but I thought I would ask here if anyone had experienced such problems or knew of a cure
thanks
That list contains about 50 apps, including mail...

Not an answer to your question but try Aqua mail.
Much better than k9 or stock.
Hi
Am I ended up doing a hard reset
Added mail accounts and all was fine
Disabled bloat, checked mail, all good.
Added games, checked all good.
Added apps. Checked all good.
That was 4 hours ago and it's happening again
Any ideas
Thanks
disabling apps may result to other apps crashing because it may be dependent on that app.
I was quite careful about what apps ive disabled and am pretty sure that is not whats causing it ,I checked it after I disabled the apps and it worked fine (for a few hours)
The only thing I can think of is one of the apps I downloaded. But I am hesitant to think its that as all the apps were installed on my sensation and the mail was fine
The only apps that required the "non authorised apps" warning were mm tracker and quick office pro so I have disabled them and restarted the phone. I then e mail tried the mail prog
still no joy
the thing is even if I enable all the disabled apps it still doesn't work
I know that I can get another app but that doesn't help my ocd about setting the phone up
after rebooting and loading apps I found that DW contacts was causing the crash
hard reset and re load of all apps except dw and all is good
Since 5.1 I've had the Google Play Service batt drain issue. Last night I uninstalled updates and cleared data for Hangouts, Play Services, and the Play Store. I logged back in, updated everything, etc and things seemed fine at first.
Today however I noticed that my hangouts, Gmail messages, etc weren't sinking. If I open say, Hangouts, eventually I get all of my messages, but I had no idea there were any. Same with Gmail. Background data is not restricted however, no apps are disabled (aside from Spotlight, which has always been disabled), and sync is on. On the syn screen for Google there are no errors, and it always shows that things are have been recently synced.
Ideas?
Edit: Auto-sync data is always checked/enabled.
Edit 2: This happens on Wifi as well as mobile data.
Edit 3: Actually, it looks like the sync time is not updating (may have previously been triggered by opening other apps)
Google Play was installed out of the box. i downloaded all apps through there.
-google contacts not syncing.
-i get no push notifications like from the Ring app, youtube or ESPN. i did tap on allow when i first opened the apps.
-is there any way to get google news to appear when i swipe left on home screen?
google photos, maps, play store, stadia all seem right.
maybe there’s a solution. i read through older threads and didn’t find one.
any help appreciated.
I noticed that the preinstalled play store sometimes does not work properly. I had to reset device completely. Play services are part of the rom and available right after reset, I just had to download and install the play store itself.
Google Play Store 25.5.27-21 [0] [PR] 375135971 (nodpi)
43.43 MB (45,537,921 bytes)
As for notifications, you might wanna disable or delete the power save app from vivo and enable staying connected all time.
If you factory reset your phone, the first app to download from the vivo appstore is Gboard, which will prompt you to download Google play. I logged in to my google account afterwards and have no issues syncing to all my contacts, calendars etc
For notifications not appearing, a lot of users experience problems with the vivo provided power management app (com.vivo.pem) cause it interferes with how your apps sends notifications or frequency of push notifications to save power. You may use adb to disable it or uninstall. Hope this workaround addresses your push notification issue
i fixed the contacts and calendar (also had no calendar entries) sync issues. i went to APKMirror.com through chrome and downloaded the latest Google Play Store. I had version 24... on my phone and the latest was 26... I installed it through chrome and it installed over the existing app. I uninstalled calendar and contacts and re-installed them. calendar worked immediately on opening. but contacts didn’t. i went back to APKMirror.com and downloaded and installed Google Contacts Sync. I now have my contacts.
to get the push notifications working I went to Settings -> Applications and Permissions -> Permission management -> Permission - Background pop-ups and none of my installed apps were toggled on. since enabling them, I have received a couple of notifications with the phone in my pocket. maybe the vivo power management app is still causing problems because im not getting most notifications.
can someone point me to learn about "adb". I've seen that in a few places here and i don’t know what it is. im a long long time android user since google's first t-mobile phone but ive never had a need to tweak.
thanks for the help so far. just need to get my notifications and im pretty much all set.
so my only goal today was to install adb on my mac and "learn" how to use it and hopefully disable com.vivo.pem
installed on mac, enabled developer mode on x60, have access to device...
using: adb shell pm disable com.vivo.pem I got an error message
using: adb shell pm disable-user com.vivo.pem i got a successful prompt
when charging my phone and having the apps opened in the background (ESPN, Ring, Fast Mail) I do get push notifications. also get them while using the phone with the apps open in background. but with phone sleeping and in my pocket i get nothing. any ideas?
my issues are basically resolved. hopefully this will help others. I read in another thread to enable "mobile data always on" in the developer settings. as long as i have the apps open in the background, i now get push notifications when the phone is sleeping and in my pocket.
Which carrier are you using in the states? And do you have volte or vowifi?
im using it with tmobile. i don’t know how to check for volte or vowifi. i don’t actually use for phone calls. maybe make 1 or 2 calls a year. lol
Hi

Hello Everyone. I bought the orange 512gb X70 Pro+ from TradingShenZhen, and overall I am satisfied (but not 100% happy) with the CN Rom phone (BTW if I have the chance to flash it with Funtouch Global OS, I would do (pay) it without hesitation!).
After I set it up for first time (english language, wifi connection, etc) I downloaded all google apps I think are necessary for me (drive, photos, play store, etc) and I logged in with my Google account in all of them, downloaded WhatsApp, banking apps, and others. Everything seemed to work well. Then I saw that the phone was not receiving some notificactions like WhatsApp automatically, so I found a Set Up "Guide" from a website that was in German (I google translated it) and follow the instructions to remove CN apps from the Phone, and after that the phone started to receive WhatsApp notifications even if the app is not open.
Not having the Hey Google feature, Android Auto, the Google search bar in the main screen, not having the ability to clone apps (android default feature). Or setting Google as default (phone, messages, gmail, calendar, calculator, chrome). Manually setting up permissions, notifications, removing CN apps, or changing settings in general... I still can live with it, taking in mind those should be done once per each factory reset only.
My only "problem" so far: going Back to Google (mainly Google Drive Backup), the phone is backing up WhatsApp chats, media files, contacts; BUT the phone is not backing up: Apps, SMS messages, and Device Settings. When I launch Google Drive app, and click on "back up now" it says "couldn´t backup data. Try again later", I have tried the disable screen locks, logging out, loggin back in, force stop, clear cache, rebooting, uninstall and reinstall Google Drive, backup from Google One (it is stuck at "Starting first backup..."), and the problem persists. Fortunately for me, most important data is backing up, because in a worst case scenario (if my phone is completely dead) I could restore Google Backed up data and then download all the apps from Play Store, log in, and set the device settings manually.
I hope this information helps in someway and also if you know another step I could try for the Google Drive backup issue, or if there is a reliable app that can create backup for Apps, SMS, and device settings; I would really appreciate You to let me know.
Have a nice day!

You cannot have "G" futures (Hey Google feature, Android Auto, the Google search bar in the main screen..) as all these apps are not system apps. In Chinese model only Google Play Services are system app, all other apps are installed on request.

You can't have Hey Google, Android Auto and complete backup on the Chinese model. Everything else, including search bar, calendar, contacts, Google phone, Messages...goes, as you can see on attached pictures.
