This app will let you enable and disable DT2W functoinality on custom roms on our Mi Max 2. I've added auto-enable on boot, so that you don't need to do so every time you reboot your phone! nice!

I prefer to use fingerprint sensor to unlock and wake the phone quickly. But that nice fix is very welcomed though.

Me too, but sometimes you have the phone on the table and you just want to check the time or the notifications without picking it up, and it's usefull to do one handed, instead of pushing the button!

nice idea this app ... i use the rom from xuefer and dt2w not working ...

Yes, use this app... That's the point of it! Just open it and click the button, after closing the app and starting it again will make it appear as if it is off, but it's not, I just haven't implemented auto detection yet.

Is there any update coming for automatically startup?

No, this was used on xuefer rom, in my RR rom this won't be needed!

Update:
My flashing technique -
1. Reboot to TWRP (mine is 3.2.3-4-arian)
2. Wiped everything.
3. Format data and reboot to TWRP (if you cannot connect to your internal drive with PC, than repeat step #3)
4. Flash these things -
a) fw_sagit_miui_MI6_8.11.22_488193502d_8.0
b) The latest version (mine is - Nitrogen-OS-P-sagit-20181126-0010)
c) Open GAPPS (mine is - open_gapps-arm64-9.0-nano-20181126)
5. Wipe cache (option given in the same window - right after you flash the gapps)
6. Wait 1-2 (yes 1-2) minutes to boot.
7. Reboot to system before doing anything (just a good practice).
8. Press my "thanks" button and Let me know whether it worked....!!

I've flashed this Rom, it's excellent. But wireless display still leads to soft reboot it's seems to be a bug with all Android P Roms.

Wow brilliant! It's a great rom. Smooth and stock like with just the right custom options. Switched over from pixel experience which was buggy.
The only problem I'm having is gcam force closes.. Any ideas?

@wloot downloading from Chrome is blocked, it says the file is dangerous. Could be something wrong with the ota server.

Stable GSI Rom for A6 2018 (A600G)

So after Trying different PIE GSIs, I Found a less buggy GSI rom. It's "RR-P-v7.0.3-20191112-A64-A.img" that i found on @turbolukex5 thread on this link. https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...iscussion/gsi-expressluke-built-gsis-t4003457
basically i tested camera, BT,in call audio, Fingerprint and Mobile Hotspot. So far they work pretty nice. The only thing that doesn't work as of now is the MTP. So you need to reboot to TWRP to transfer files on storage.
If this thread is prohibited, kindly remove it. I just want to share what i found today. Thank you.

Yes. It will definitely work on any Device that is treble Enabled. You just need to find the Correct vendor for your device. :highfive:

Thanks. I will try and report here later. As of now the only bug i got is the Camera when using flash. The shutter is not synced with the flash. You will get a dark photo when taking at night.

That's basically a bug which is present in almost every GSI. Use footej/open camera from play store instead. Those will also give you back some of the manual controls if you are into that sorta thing.

I already tried the kernel. I got a working MTP after reboot(bare bones, no GApps). But when i install GApps(Aroma) the rom is very sluggish and FP was broken during setup. So i did not finish the setup and i quickly reverted to stock. ?

Not sure but the guy who compiled that kernel said not to use magisk it breaks too many stuff.

I did not used magisk on setup. This are my steps:
-Flashed GSI
-Flashed Kraken kernel
-rebooted and did factory reset
-Resized the system to flash GApps.
-flashed GApps aroma.
And the phone is already sluggish. Any thoughts bro?

I don't have that device. But u can use CPU info or CPU Z and Treble check to know what variant is for you.

Would help you out much better if you could come at our telegram. But for now try doing everything first and reserve flashing kraken as last step also factory reset is unnecessary.

1. install orangefox recovery.
2. format data and reboot recovery
3. copy rom to your phone. Or use microsd card
4. install zip file and reboot
