Hi, I have known xda for about a month now. Found it while seeking answers about rooting android devices, though I havent gone through with it yet. Its a mine of resources here and as i browse around its clear how being connected is helpfull, your website and forums just does that.

I'm about to be switching phones from winmo to android. I was wondering what other sites y'all used for research, tips, ect. Other sites like wmpoweruser, ppcgeeks and fuzemobility for android. Something with lots of app reviews, wallpapers, tip & tricks, would be nice.

XDA.... Engadget... The Nexus One forum on the google website... androidcentral... yada yada... you'll find places when you google something specific
Yes I know giyf. But if you look in the yellow pages for coffee houses, you'll find a ton of places, but won't know anything about them. If you ask a freind where to get a good cup, he'll tell you about a couple places and maybe a speciallty drink they have.
I found xda way back when I was just googling fuze tips and tricks. Not wanting to unlock, hack, flash my phone, just personalize it and make it cooler than it was already. What I mostly found were review sites linking to here for mods and roms, not what I was looking for. After searching around for a couple months, finally found a couple sites I liked.
I was just trying to save some time and ask what sites a friend would like.

Thanks but I'm getting a captivate, I'll look to see if they have a galaxy s series sub tho. Again thank you.
OH!!!!!!! Android.com is a great site
http://androidforums.com/ is pretty decent.
I'm looking for some tech/game/car type forums to browse at work during downtime.
Tapatalk forums would be nice.
What are your favorite forums besides xda and anandtech?
For example, I wish blizzard and mmochampion had tapatalk forums.
Have you browsed the forums available in Tapatalk? Just go to the network tab when you start it and have a look what's on there.
Yeah, but there is so much to sort through, was hoping to find some good forums known by like minded people on xda

One of my friends runs a general tech forum called techdigy . com.
I should just warn you though that the forum is pretty much dead atm but you never know where it might be in a few months.
As far as I know, pretty much all the forums on tapatalk suck. Only good one IMO is XDA and Android Central, the rest are just some bizarre and less active noob forums.
There is a couple decent car forums though.
Most of the good forums you can browser are probably Spanish or French(most of the interesting car forums), so that's another problem. I just recommend using web browser...

Hello everyone, I'm a young (22y) man, currently taking a technical course in mecatronics, control and planing of processes, I'm from Portugal, from the beautifull Azores. Just now made an account to try and get help with my
NTECH ALEXIS-RX5 DCI've been trying to get a custom ROM for it with Android 5 or above, I'm trying to install an app that requires it (SuperDisplay) so that I can use my tablet as USB graphics tablet, I've tried other apps but the're all laggy or won't work, and since I had it already on my phone and works perfectly there I was really hoping to have a bigger screen without needing to spend money on a new tablet.
Already asked for someone to make a forum about it in the

Try to find the best section to post and then ask a Mod to move your thread to the selected section.
Im sure this way you will have better chances to get help.
Good luck!
Hello there! Time for my introduction to these forums!
I've viewed these forums quite well over the years, so I'm not completely new to here. I've even used tools from these forums (although I couldn't say thanks but that should change . So yes, I'm kind of familiar.
I decided to join XDA because of my phone, an LG Tribute Dynasty (LG SP200). It might not be the best phone to have anymore (and it might've never been top notch), but I have figured out quite a couple of things, and I'm willing to find out what more could be done (e.g. custom roms, which I know none are available for this phone, but maybe research could be done .
Overall, I'll see what the future has in store for me. Whatever that might mean, we'll see how all goes!

Nice intro, welcome to the forums!
Trying to learn how to do more things with android phones. I never really had an interest in learning about them until I got one of my old phones back and wanted the videos and photos back and throughout my search to find a way to do this I've picked up an interest in learning more. Haven't accomplished anything besides downloading a bunch of stuff onto my laptop that doesn't work. So I decided to join xda cause I realize it's not something that's easily learned with no help.
