I recently put together the pikvm.org (the Geekworm X630-A2 Auido Hat with the X630 Hdmi Input Bridge TC358743) so that I would be able to control/see my laptop that's in my server room to my office in another room. Everything works fine but the mouse movement still seems a little slow.
I have done the following:
Placed the following command in the cmdline.txt file:
Code:
usbhid.mousepoll=0
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Placed the following command in the config.txt file:
Bash:
usbhid.mousepoll=0
Prior to doing that the command
Bash:
systool -m usbhid -A mousepoll
gave me this:
After doing the 2 above usbhid command and rebooting I did that same command and now it showed:
However, looking at the dashboard of the πKVM I still see that it has the mouse set to 10. The slider does not seem to go any lower than that.
So me being new at this I am just wondering should this also be showing the 0 instead of the 10 since the output of systool -m usbhid -A mousepoll shows 0?

Hi everyone,
I'm getting some problems with communicating modem on Vivid (stock GB).
Enabling the modem with:
Code:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/usb_composite/modem/enable
This gives me the HTC USB Modem device, but it has no feedback.
Trying to start modem service with:
Code:
setprop service.modem.enable 1
No result, the modem port still dead from PC side:
06-04 23:04:38.836: D/Modem_Link(3741): usb status path: /sys/devices/platform/msm_hsusb/usb_cable_connect
06-04 23:04:38.846: I/Modem_Link(3741): open port : /dev/ttyHSUSB0, transfer unit = 4096
06-04 23:04:38.846: I/Modem_Link(3741): open smd channel
06-04 23:04:38.846: E/Modem_Link(3741): open sap socket failed, errno = 111

Posting in dev forum instead of Q&A.
Well, ok
I hope someone will move it to the correct forum
Apparently "Development" actually means "Rom Cooking" on XDA these days.
Moving forward.
The modem service binary is
Code:
/system/xbin/wireless_modem
which opens /dev/smd9 channel and calls for rild (RIL daemon) on its socket rild-htc
But seems noone listens the socket.
USB tethering
Had an idea to try the modem when thethering is ON.
I was tried a few stock GB ROM's and found that on AT&T (cingular) ROM tethering gives the error:
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Others was fine with it.
Anyway, modem interface was still dead on every ROM i checked.
To be continued...
So I have fitted my new unit which is a eonon D5156ZE. Pretty impressed with it so far. Came loaded with kudos navi, v7.5.2, with map NTR14Q2BV2. Eonon sent me a file upgrade which consisted of a few files which while i was upgrading the software i could see it booted into win ce 6 but after fully installed it booted straight into the manufacturer interface. My next question is, what is the file called i can download and point my navi path to the file to boot into ce win mode as opposed to the eonon software?

I would also like to know if i can install a OSLoader in this system to run the standard win / and android?
I was able to find a ResInfo exe along with CECMD.exe which loaded these. Went i went into the control panel it opened up but suddently closes itself down and reopen the factory UI. While i was in there I was able to succesfully grab hold of what files I could for anyone attention.
You shall find 2 zip below: 1 marked eonon is from internal mem from unit, while the 2 marked MTK3360 win8 is what they sent me to upgrade my headunit.

Bump
In the past I have successfully installed versions of Google Phone .apk on my Note 4, but the version that has worked on my phone does not have the In-Call Mini-view or Floating Bubble. And that makes it really hard to multitask when on a call and trying to set up an appointment, etc. I have downloaded countless .apk versions from APKmirror which correspond to my device's arm and dpi specs per "Droid Info" app, but they fail to install with error "App not installed".
SPECS:
Model: SM-N910T (trltetmo)
Baseband Version: N910TUVU2EQI2
OS Version: 6.0.1
Software Density: 640 dpi (xxxhdpi)
CPU Architecture: ARMv7-A
Instruction Sets: armeabi-v7a, armabi
Kernel Architecture: armv7I (the last character is either a capital I or a lower case L)
Here are two versions I've tried from APKmirror.com at https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/#variants , one was with 640 dpi, the other was no dpi.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Result: They appear to be installing, but then finish with "App not installed". I don't understand the software mechanics of why, so am looking for help to find a workable .apk !
The older apk that works on my phone is a much older version which lacks in-call bubble/etc, and if I recall I got it here off of XDA: Google Phone 8.0.148481159[Patched].apk
Can anyone point me to some more recent version that has in-call mini-view or floating bubble? Thank you
Hello,
I have a Chinese 8227L radio with Android 8.1 go (YT9216B_00002_V004_20190826).
XY auto: 3.1
MCU: 3.1
DDR: 1G
FLASH: 16G
Processor type: A7 1.3GHz x 4.
My question is whether I am able to activate the radio to 9.1 and YT9216BJ_00002_V001?
I want to be able to split the screen, see what's playing on the radio and edit the initial screen.
The radio is in the Skoda Octavia II.
If possible, how to do it. Please help

First you need to install a custom ROM onto your unit. Then you can root it and do unlimited customizations that will provide you with better user experience and sound. Feel free to check out this guide that contains the latests mod.firmware and other helpful insights. Below is an example what you can do to the interface, among other things.
