As title, I am running Magisk App v25.2, and trying to get undetected on RootBeer
I have enabled Zygisk
Installed Shamiko, SafetyNet fix and Magisk BuildProps, and 'hidden' RootBeer in the deny list
The device now passes every check except 'root management apps'
Enabled Magisk Hide which failed the first 3 times, then finally worked after like 4 reboots to hide the Magisk app name and package name com.topjohnwu....
It renamed the app, but then lost root to the renamed app and asked me to 'Install the app' again to restore. Did so, and then neither app worked, Magisk nor Settings2, tapped original Magisk app and bootloop started.
That's fine, I can re-flash etc, not a problem; but does anyone know how I get undetected on RootBeer? I think they are checking the package names that are installed and of course finding the package name and Magisk app name still triggers 'root management apps'.
Seeing as Magisk Hide is basically deprecated in favour of Zygisk, how do we now change the Magisk app name?
EDIT:
I read here, that the guy used Icebox to freeze Magisk which apparently passes RootBeer, but this was 5 months ago.
Anymore option to hide root from apps? from androidroot

I have given IceBox root, but Magisk doesn't appear in the list to hide/freeze. Island also doesn't seem to work when setup as root (error 1)
I tried Magisk Hide again.
- first try it created a new app called 'Settings' and the SU popup showed, granted access.
- clicking the Settings app resulted in 'Restore the Magisk app - root was lost' - didn't click Install
- went back to original Magisk app and tried hide again still with 'Settings' as the app name
- created a new Settings app, but also seemed to hide Magisk successfully and asked if I wanted a shortcut on the homescreen
RootBeer now does not detect Magisk as its not there; however the process of Magisk Hide in 25.2 seems really touch and go, as seemingly doesn't work the first time.
Maybe its possible for Magisk to grant its clone app root without the user popup, so it works first time?
- uninstalling the first Settings app, seemed to have not done anything wrong, or any damage, Magisk still works.

Hi all,
So I've just flashed Oxygen OS 4.0.1 for the OnePlus3T, flashed SuperSU 2.79, downloaded Magisk from playstore, installed it, uninstalled SuperSU app. Root is working fine
Two green ticks, installed and properly rooted, but the SafteyNet failes. I read that you need to enable Magisk hide, so I do, and it tells me to reboot, so again I do, but the option keeps resetting/.
Anyone else having this issue/ has a solution?
There's been several users with OnePlus devices having problems with Magisk Hide. Might be a device specific issue that's not user solvable at the moment...
Edit: New info added to OP after my answer... Magisk Hide does not work with SuperSU.

That's a shame ./. I'll ask reddit
Thanks
I'm using phh's superuser and Magisk hide is working for me on the open beta and people seem to say that the current beta and the release versions are virtually the same, so it might be an issue with how SuperSU is handled.
afaik Magisk Hide needs phh's root, not SuperSU

Magisk Hide does NOT work with SuperSU. You have to use topjohnwu's phh's superuser that's provided with Magisk.

Nope, nope, nope. It's a problem with USERS who use magisk hide options. In THREAD is info about supersu + magisk hide = NOT WORKING. This is only fault of wrong su binaries, so it's not device specific issue.
And for this issue - probably flash a unsu script. It will (probably) delete all of supersu files, then in magisk manager or twrp flash modded phh binaries for magisk and then, finally install ph manager from google play. That is config to be able to use magisk hide.
ENJOY.

Yeah, I know... OP edited with SuperSU info after my answer. I edited my post as well. Thanks for the reminder.
Not going to quote everyone, but YES! Removing SuperSU and using phh SU works just fine!
Thanks all.
Magisk Hide (Masking Magisk SuperUser) - 2 Problems w/ Magisk Hide being disabled after reboot or closing Magisk Manager.
If you are using Magisk Manager and Magisk Root and are experiencing difficulty with Magisk Hide (Masking Magisk's SU) not showing in the Manager's side-menu or remembering its status in settings, it occurs when a file is not automatically deleted and removed.
PROBLEM:
Open Magisk Manager, Settings >> Enable Magisk Hide, close Manager, re-open and Magisk Hide is disabled and not visible (hidden) in the left side-menu. i.e. Exit, Close, Stop, Re-Open & Reboot Reset's Magisk Hide's State to Disabled.
SOLUTION 1.
Force stopped Magisk Manager.
Backup then Delete file /data/property/persist.magisk.hide (0600).
Launch Magisk Manager.
Go to Settings >> Enable Magisk Hide.
Go back to Manager home screen. Swipe to reveal side-menu and check Magisk Hide menu is visible.
Close Magisk Manager or Force stop.
Reopen and Swipe side-menu and confirm Magisk Hide is still visible!
I hope this helps others also experiencing issues with Hiding Super User SU. Thanks Shak!
SOLUTION 2.
Another Fix someone else has also posted Dec 2017 was in regards to an error "fopen: /magisk/.core/magiskhide/hidelist failed with 2: No such file or directory"
The issue is due to Magisk Manager being unable to save the list of ticked Apps to hide from SU to /magisk/.core/hidelist.
Check the existence of the "/magisk/.core/hidelist" path.
Create the "/hidelist" directory.
CHMOD "/magisk/.core/hidelist" to 0644.
Thanks to Dunderball. :highfive:
.
Thanks a lot! I have been looking this issue up for almost a week now.
Solution 1 worked for me.
No worries mate. Appreciate the feedback.
Someone else had a similar issue for a few weeks and was unable to resolve it until upgrading to 16.4 beta. But this isn't viable for everyone due to issues w/ 16.4+.
Thanks!

which version you use ?
I use version 19.4, wont work if delete magisk.db.
LineageOs 17 on a Nexus 2013 Flo
Magisk 19.3
Magisk Manager 7.3.2
safetynet always fails after a reboot.
I tried renaming magisk.db and while magisk kept working generally, m-hide still fails the safetynet test after a reboot until I toggle hide.

How to make a bakup?
Details: Huawei P20 Pro running 9.0. Magisk Manager v7 (latest), Magisk v18.2 (latest canary) original package name. Safety net passed.
I tested to make sure that magisk hide is working properly on my device. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.revolut.revolut&hl=en_GB. This app does not have fingerprint login enabled without magisk hide. Hence when I turn off magisk hide, you can't use fingerprint to login into the app. When I turn it back on, fingerprint login works. Also my bank app works.
Here is the problem. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starlingbank.android&hl=en_GB. This app does not seem to run even when magisk hide is on. Here's the kicker, even though magiskhide has been toggled and confirmed working, upon opening this app it will show the usual "device not secure/rooted" message. After this it somehow disable magiskhide as my revolut app no longer prompts for fingerprint and my bank app stops working.
I have to go back into magisk and retoggle magisk hide for it to work again. (However the starling bank app still fails the root check)
I'm really really frustrated now and will appreciate any help.
UDPATE: I did some stuff from https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/how-to-bypass-lloyds-root-detection-t3837206, the adaway host list. Added MagiskHide Props Config. I also set tasker to toggle magiskhide whenever I turn on my screen. Seems to work more consistently for now
Check the Magisk main thread and Github, there is a known problem with Magisk Hide in the 18.x. I went back to 17.x which work for me without any problems.

In the exact same situation as OP P20 Pro (maybe except im on LOS 16)
Magisk seems to be working fine passing safteynet and Root Beet finding nothing but yet the Starling Bank app and the Arriva Ticket app both figure out my phone is rooted after a while and lock out.
Had exact problem with Starling app with magisk hide and app on hide list. Turned out to be a direct build.prop modification so after resetprop -p all good now.

Can you expand on this a bit?
I've downloaded Magiskhide props config, and what do I have to do now?
For me, starling always works for couple of days and then it locks me out via the root screen.

I modified a build.prop directly before magisk install so compromised the system partition. I've used resetprop to mask it. Like you I'm occasionally getting root warning as well and have to re-authorise so magisk hide in 18.1 not perfect as mentioned a lot in a forum.

it seams that the problem is still there. I have to retoggle Magisk Hide at every reboot of the phone.
Is there any workaround or any ETA on the fix?

For Newer Version Changelogs and Downloads:
LsPosed Github
Changelog
Spoiler: See
Fix manager white screen
[*]Support split-apk modules (LSPosed will choose only one apk with xposed_init to load)
[*]Fix manager crash when launching an uninstalled module from notification
[*]Load modules with SharedMemory (it can speedup app cold launch) 2
[*]New manager icon
[*]Fix incorrect update notification in the first installation
[*]Fix some apps not showing in the scope list in some rare cases
[*]Show notification of module uninstallation
[*]Prevent modules from hooking inner methods (methods from XposedBridge's classloader)
Note:
Previously LSPosed only recognize modules from the primary user. However, this strategy is not good and leads to some problems: some modules require getting installed app lists for configuration but they cannot do so across users; some require reading themselves from the hooked apps but they cannot do so from non-primary users; some users want to configure modules differently on different users which is not feasible previously. Thus LSPosed now requires every module to be installed to the user on which the apps they want to hook are installed. Some devices restrict modules from installing onto some users. In such a case, you can install them from the manager (but it's recommended).
1: For some weird devices that prevent installing apps from the root user, please install the manager from /data/adb/lspd/manager.apk or manager.apk from the zip file manually.
2: Some modules get modules' apk path using reflection of its classloader, it's not recommended and unstable since the apk path from classloader no longer exists when using SharedMemory to load modules. Please use the documented way (from IXposedHookZygoteInit.StartupParam.modulePath) instead.

I didn't say it's safer than edxposed. I meant xposed alternatives like taichi etc.
All banking apps works, no system slowdown, i got more free ram etc.
In edxposed the hooked apps take time to open, no such issue with LSPosed.
That's why i thought it's worth trying and safer.
And +1 is safetynet passes all the time with LSPosed but, with edxposed safetynet works for some time after every reboot even with blacklisting google framework and services.
This slowdown is caused by YAHFA hook in EdXposed. On Sandhook is much better. Which hook method you use in LSposed?

SafetyNet works till google patched it no matter which xposed clone you use. Before last patch SN was working fine with EdXposed. I don't needed blacklisting framework and services because EdXposed manager is doing automatically, with special option enabled. So don't say lies about EdXposed but tell us about technical differences between LSposed and EdXposed. What you change after forking EdXposed repo?
looks working good u,till now, just its annoying sometimes to have to choos which app has the module applies. a "select all" option would be welcome in a next release

a module based selection, what to hook seems a good approach of doing what you want and at the same time saving resources. a more advanced selectiin UI would be good. filter based on words and then select in the filtered list, select deselect all. in addition I have no idea what some modules are hooking like gravity box...this is just an example...I know I can find out however maybe the manager app can support to find out or tick what is recommended

Working fine with OnePlus 7t latest beta. There might be some other issue. LSPosed doesn't seem to cause bootloop. Share logcat.
Hi, I've been out of the loop for a while now.
I updated magisk on my phone and found out that the latest version removed magiskHide.
Now that is a problem for me. I have several apps that won't works if they detect root.
So I tried to do some research. And found Universal Safetynet Fix.
Now the thing is, I don't need to pass safetynet. I just need to hide root from certain apps.
magisk 23 worked alright for me.
Then I found about Shamiko. But unfortunately it needs the newer zygisk.
I however need riru for another module.
So I kept on searching, and found Riru-momoHider
Not sure if this is the correct app to hide root from certain apps, but I coudn't figure out how to configure this properly.
I also tried XPrivacyLua, but I don't see any option to hide root in that??
So please help me. What can work for my case here?
Thanks a lot for reading my post.
Edit: The riru Module I need to keep is, "Riru - Clipboard whitelist"
It allows the clipper+ app to work, which is a clipboard manager.
If there is any alternative to this, then I can ditch riru and move to zygisk.
