I am an avid Windows Phone user. Love the OS, and the devices. I have written an article that was featured on Yahoo. I just wanted to share it with you guys. Please tell me what you think. Tell me if you agree or disagree with my points. Here is the link

Good post,despite the fact I hate out going hyperlink.I especially like the first reason,cuz my past experience with c# is acceptable,I was messing up with wm6.1 and sql back then.
Still,I am not going to buy a wp7 for now.Cuz I need mass storage,portable hot spot,and real multitask.One more thing I fear is our smartphone is going to end up like our diy pc,if every manufacture is making phones with the same os and same spec,than why manufacture A,not manufacture B?That could bring my editor career to hell

And in Mango SDK it is shipped with my favourite languages, verbal and computer: Visual Basic in Chinese. YAY
Unlike Android and iOS, I can use all my 12 years of learning in VB for my cell.

An Introduction, I guess

I'm crispycat. I've been interested in computers since I got a refurbished Acer laptop running Windows XP at the age of 4. At around 10 I had the desire to start developing software. I created my first website and started making some pretty useless apps in Visual Basic (yikes). Eventually I learned C# and more recently Java. As someone who is very passionate about digital privacy and cybersecurity, having full control over my phone is very important to me, and this forum has been very helpful.

My biggest interest/concern is getting a new Laptop and setting up my cell phone to be Google free (FB, Amazon too
New to LineageOS ROM but very interested in installing on my Moto G7 Plus (bought it for this reason)
I am super tech savvy with computers but pretty limited in tech stuff with cell phones. other than ap and user skills. How do I approach a beginner Start to finish process.? I don't know all the lingo and sometimes instructions assume more knowledge than I seem to have.

I'm in infosec and love technology

I've been doing mobile and web app assessments for iOS and Android for a few years. I've attended a number of bootcamps both in person (OWASP) as well as online to learn mobile testing.
Recently, I felt the need to increase my knowledge especially of Android and picked up a moto g7 play which I'm currently trying to root.
Most of my testing is done using emulators in Genymotion. I'm not a developer. I work with both Unix and Windows OSes, but mostly Unix (MacOS, Linux).
I just discovered this site and immediately registered an account.
The site is extremely well organized and the community seems very supportive of learning. I'm really looking forward to learning and sharing.

Introduction from an oldee newbee

I'm an old guy who has worked on small computers during the early 80s. I had to learn Unix to be able to run my first desktop which had 2 7.5 in floppies. You have eclipsed me with innovations and technical expertise, yet I'm still here persevering. I'm only entering into the world of Android, specifically to deGooglize to stop piracy of my data.
