Phone bricked!

My Mi A2 has got BRICKED!!!!!!!! when i am trying to flash stock rom i MI FLASH TOOL phone doesnt support because USB DEBUGGING MODE not enabled. i cant open my phone for brick. So now what can i do?

it should show an ID for your device. Have you installed latest adb & fastboot drivers?

yes latest adb + fastboot installed. and i had done unlock bootloader + flashing unlock critical with this adb+fastboot

fastboot should reads your device. try running cmd.exe as admin and switch to another USB port or cable and see the results. just make sure that fastboot devices shows an ID

Hello, I currently have the same problem. Today I was converting my xiaomi mia2 to mi6x. Everything was normal, until at one point of the transfer miflash gave an error and the transfer stopped, checking the logs I find that simply the USB stopped working, the phone now does not signal by the usb. Now we have a paperweight, apparently. I have researched and apparently can try to repair the phone using the "test point method", which forces the EDL mode on the phone for a few seconds that you should take to flash the rom from MiFlash.
Please check this and try to do so, for the moment I have no tools because we have to disassemble the phone. I hope you have appropriate tools and you can tell me if it works! -> https://en.miui.com/thread-3524265-1-1.html

Fastboot isnt working..?

Hey guys
I just bought a new Mi 9 Lite and instantanously wanted to unlock it.
so i did all the steps and then tried to connect with mi unlock the first time to see how long the waiting period is
After i booted into fastboot with volume down + power i connected the phone to the computer and it suddenly went black.
Only in the upper corner it showed a cut off text saying: "any key to shut down" -> see attached photo

Mi Unlock didnt detect it, and neither did Adb fastboot...
Do you know a fix? i really dont want to send it back...
And im pretty certain this was not my mistake, as i tried it multiple times

Same happens when you try to boot into fastboot with "adb reboot bootloader" ?
BTW to see if your device is properly recognized while you are in Fastboot you should use "Fastboot devices" not "adb devices"
Also make sure you installed all required drivers (Qualcomm ones and the drivers you install from within MiFlash)

the reason is windows 10, on 7 it works

I just tried it again, and adb as well as fastboot devices do recognize the phone.
The blackscreen from fastboot only appears upon opening the mi flash unlock tool... In the exact same moment...
As you said i tried "adb reboot bootloader", but the same happened upon opening the tool.
I couldnt find the qualcomm ones though, didnt know where to install them from...
Btw. if it helps i have Windows 8.1
But havent had Problems with the Mi9 or Redmi 4 Prime unlock (which just now worked fine)

Installed it, and even re-installed all the usual drivers. Still, the black screen pops up as soon as i open the unlock tool...

Check if your phone isn't fake one.
This is unusual for an official Xiaomi device.

How would i check?
Also its not from china, but from a well known german vendor so guarantee would be no problem. But everything is fine and believable, so i would have no reason to be suspicious.
I guess i will try with another computer next week or something. Maybe its USB 2.0 or something..

Is your phone recognized in device manager when you are in fastboot?
Also i heard there is some bug/incompatibility with Ryzen CPU's, do you have Ryzen or Intel?

Indeed it is recognizes in adb as well as in fastboot.
It's an old Thinkpad im working on, so its an Intel. I still only have simple Usb-ports.
But im surprised as it has worked with the Mi 9 also a few weeks ago...

SOLVED --redmi note 9, blinking redmi logo, not starting, cannot switch off, can't enter fastboot mode also

I tried to root my redme note 9 using magdisc from pc. after completing all steps, I have given command to boot recovery through minimal adb, after that phone automatically moved from Fastboot mode and started blinking REDME on screen, a few moments later it goes black and again appear. it keeps continuing now. I tried long press on the power button for restart/switch off, but no use, it will vibrate and ON with redme logo, and will go black after few moments. i tried to enter into fast boot mode, but result is same, it will vibrate and go OFF, when I tried to connect pc, pc is not recogonizing this phone anymore. nothing is working, cant even switch off

Hello, i have the same issue here, but just after trying to update pixelUI official.... infinite bootloop on miui logo, no fastboot, no recovery and not detected on the PC. Installed MTK drivers but nothing more... THX

Yep! upgrade from pixelUI official 3.7 to 3.8, had some intempestive reboot, so i swype and re-install and seen that, infinite boot loop, no recovery, no fastboot and phone isn't recognize by PC...
So i can't use SPflash tool to install stock rom...
Sometimes PC see the phone realy realy fast son i don't have time to verify in device manager..

How can I do that, to force flashing using sp flash tool? something similar happens to me only that it does not turn on and when I connect it to the pc comes out the following error that I will attach an image and translate:
'usb device is not recognized
the last device you connected to this computer did not work and Windows does not recognize it.'
what can i do in that case?

hello there, my redmi note 9 just got updated to miui 13 and for some time it sudenly freezes and not its in bootloop and i cant go to recovery mode nor fastboot, what do i need to do to fix this?

I have all the files needed to setup sp flash and try to put again the Rom in the phone, which is now not unlocked and no usb debugging on.
Can someone please give me a tutorial on how to use those files? My phone still not recognised in sp flash com port, I don't know how to do.

If you need to disable authorisation, did you run the MTK Auth Bypass tool and get the message "Protection disabled"? That's what I had to do before SP Flash Tool would flash the phone (without disconnecting it or rebooting), and I also had to set the baud rate to 921600, although that was all under Linux, and the phone was still unlocked.

it's complicated. with phone locked fastboot commands don't work. with my hold mi a3 fastboot flashing unlock command work. but with miui and mtk chipset probably it's useless. but u can try. if u boot into bootloader with mediatek driver the pc should recognize your phone also if it's blocked

1: Unzip this attached file into a folder. run it.
2: select the unlock bootloader and start, then connect you phone via usb with all three buttons pressed. (Phone must be off before connect, )

Thanks for the help, the problem I'm facing it's Auth tool cont recognise the phone, when I open the shell keep saying waiting for the device.
Driver are mtk with Libus installed, dunno.
When I restart the phone immediately have the logo then, if volume up I can log mi assistant or with volume down the bootloader screen.

1. Check your device driver for USB, suggest you re-install the MTK usb driver.
2. First run the program, select the Auth by pass then press start.
3. Make sure phone is in "power off" state, press Vol+, Vol- and power (all three at the same time), and don't release it, plug in USB cable and wait.... Don't release these three buttons until it is Auth by pass OK.
During this process, take a look at device manager, there must be one item like portable device - USB ( Com 3). keep flashing.

you "must" remove (uninstall) the driver first then re-install the MTK usb driver again.

I did that many times, with win 10 no drivers signed mode, with many different mtk drivers but nothing was working. I'll try clean my windows and then start again with the drivers.

is a win10 problem that i also haved. hard to solve. u can try windows 7 via virtualbox (solved a lot of my problems in the past) or format and install a modded version of win10 (but i dont suggest this)

Virtual box looks no longer available, I'll install a fresh copy of win 7 in another partition, never give up lol

virtualbox is available for all system. i have a win7 virtualized under my linux pc, and miflash works fine. no bugs. if my tips makes you happy dont try. is not my problem, i didnt bricked my phone. i dont make things without know what i'm doing. good look. u can buy a new phone if u prefere

? I've just told you I've tried to download virtual box for win 10 but it's not avaible now or server was temporarily down for the download, so my only way it's to set up a fresh copy on win 7 on my pc, I can't understand your hanger answer.

Hi, finally I can install the Recovery V12.5.16.0.RKPCNXM rom and the engineering rom but have no baseband and no IMEI. Tried many times to put my IMEI codes with no luck, looks I need the mt6893 modem file to use sn writer but no way to find them on net, can someone share those files please? Thanks

We usually have to wait 7 days to unlock the bootloader of Xiaomi devices, right? Well, with this tool, you can cut off that timer on MTK devices, such as Poco M3 Pro/Redmi Note 10 5G.
How to Use:
1st: Download and unpack the 7zip file.
2nd: Install the drivers inside, both mtk drivers AND USB DK (x86 for 32-bit OS and x64 for 64-bit OS)
3rd: Reboot PC and turn off the device to be unlocked.
4th: Run UnlockBootloader.bat, it'll keep attempting to link, that's normal
5th: Connect your device. Either on pre-loader mode (completely off) or BROM mode (Hold Vol- while connecting the cable)
6th: Upon estabilishing a successful link, the tool will unlock your phone.
And voila, quick-unlocked.
In case of dm-verity corruption, just do this:
fastboot reboot fastboot
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta_a [insert the vbmeta's path here]\vbmeta.img
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta_b [insert the vbmeta's path here]\vbmeta.img

Yep , I installed the drivers , restarted the laptop. Tat unlock.bat is just opening and closing.

Everything installed , i read another article about unblocking mtk devices and followed the detailed steps by installing python etc.. Problem from my side is tat .bat file just opens and closes it's not stable at all... Anyways thanks again I have already unblocked my device through miui unlock ..

Here, i also using this tools when unlock or locked back bootloader

Hi everyone, so is it possible to unlock the bootleader without ereasing personal data using this method?

Yes, no need erase personal data.

But i see in the guide linked by @wetito that one of the steps is
python mtk e metadata,userdata,md_udc
Isn't this going to delete user data? Can i just skip thiis step?

Requirements :
• pc/laptop
• Windows 10/11 (8/8.1 possible but not tested) 64bit
• Internet connection
Material :
• mtkclient-gui + driver (fix all errors)
Steps:
1. Download the material above
2. Extract the driver
3. Go to the extracted driver folder
4. Right click android_winusb.inf and select install, then restart your pc
5. After restarting extract mtclient-gui
6. Go to the extracted folder mtkclient-gui
7. Double click on start.bat
8. turn off the cellphone
9. back to the laptop, select Unlock bootloader
10. Type y, then enter
11. press and hold vol up + vol down (approximately 5 seconds then connect to pc (still hold down the volume button)
12. release if the cellphone has been detected in cmd
13. wait for it to finish

Both the tools I and wetito posted require userdata wipe. Saracawalk's one doesn't require it.
