Hello,
I bought the MI 9T Pro, and during my tests I've observed a weird issue.
When dragging the finger vertically on the screen , exactly in the middle it stops working. Mostly is observed when trying a paint type of app, is not recognizing the fingers when arriving in the middle of the screen. sometimes it works.
I tried doing a reset to factory settings but it didn't helped.
The phone has MIUI 11, i can't rollback to a previous version like MIUI 10, as i think this is a software issue and not a hardware one.
Any advices?
Kind regards.
Screen record in the miui testing app & post
(*#*#6484#*#*) -> Test touch sensor
Or can even test in apps like display tester or Antutu benchmark
Hello, i tried also this method. The test is assed but when nearing the centre of the screen i can see how a diagonal line goes for aproximately 1 centimenter straight vertically an after it passes the center goes back to drawing diagonally. A made request also to Xiaomi global support. Gave this advice and also update to the latest patch. Still didn't worked.
In the end i returned the phone and buyed a new one.
Kind regards
Okay guys.
I bought a redmi 9 and set right from the setup process the full screen gestures.
I got stuck with a tremendous input lag, horrible ui freezes and nearly an unusable brand new phone.
Right after disabling full screen gestures my phone literally came to life, no freezes, input lag gone and usable.
I don't know why, i just wanted to share my experience because if you got stuck with my same problem here the solution.
Redmi 9 global 3g RAM 32 ROM
Firmware version 11.0.8.0 (QJCEUXM)
Thanks
It's wayyyy better now ?? thank you
Well with my Redmi 9 ( 4GB/64g ) didn't mention any difference between full screen gesture ON or OFF

Yeah, it's just so bad that we cannot use fullscreen gestures, but i hope it'll be fixed soon.
If you are experiencing lag in games, another tip i can give is : Developer option > Disable HW overlay.
It helped a lot with games but i'll be more power hungry
Im using full screen gastuers from day one without any lag or freeze at all on my redmi 9 Lancelot..
Hello, I've just noticed that there is a ghost touch on the bottom most part of the screen, is this normal for redmi 9?

In the stock Launcher I had the camera app at the bottom right corner and it would open randomly when I was in the home screen.
switched to Nova and no ghost touches so far
I am also having the same issue in my Redmi 9i
the phone just do random stuff by it self
a reset didn't solve the issue
Hi Everyone
I'm Redmi 9 owner since 4 months 4/64 version. My phone is working on MIUI 12.0.1.0 Global right now, and I have weird problem during using navigation in Google Maps. Blue arrow which show drive direction from time to time is rotating, sometimes over 70⁰. When this took place maps is rotating on left or right. This is very annoying. Any Redmi 9 owners has the same problem? It's hardware problem or Google Maps update or MIUI 12.5 and Android 11 can solve problem? What are you thinking?
I attached screen from another forum where user have that same problem.

thnx
Have you already posted the same questions on the Xiaomi.Eu ROM official support forum?
yes , but no answers
Did you try to update to 12.5.20 ? Is that xiaomi.eu stable release you have installed ?
i dont mind to upgrade as long as i know that on this uograde ill get the solution ...but maybe the developers will know .
did you have this problem? if yes , did it solve?
I know in the past had maybe 1 or 2 times that happen to me, but maybe when I was taking phone out of pocket (when someone rings) maybe my finger pulled down notification, didn't happen to me after that for long time.
