Hello,
Recently I have been noticing that my IIi appears to inform me of incoming calls rather late. When I wear my bluetooth headset I can hear the incoming call in my headset but it takes at least 5-7 seconds before the ringer on my phone starts ringing. By the time the ringer starts ringing to let me know of a phone call I have maybe 3-5 seconds to answer it before my voice mail picks up. Does anyone else experience this problem? Are there any solutions? It almost seems like the cpu just does not have the power to process the incoming call that quickly. Any help would be appreciated.
What headset are you using?
Does it have a delay without a headset?
On mine I get a delay with a headset that supports the handsfree profile (Jabra BT800) but not on a normal one, or without a headset.
My XDA2 did this also, but the XDA2 with WM2005 worked perfectly.
could be the time needed to find/load the ringtone ?
do you have caller id or ringtonex with different ringtones and/or pictures?
maybe loaded from memory card ?

I have the same problem with mine... I only get three rings to answer the phone - which can be pretty annoying!
I've not noticed whether having any form of headset makes a difference, though.
Ringing Delay
I upgaded to the latest version of software from 02 last week, since then I get what I can only describe as a "stutter" when the phone rings. I am also getting a lot of lost calls i.e the phone rings twice then says I have a missed call, but the people ringing me say that it goes to ansaphone ???

I have the same problems and the bluetooth flattens the battery in 4 hours. I used to have the XDA II with Sins cooked 2K3se and it was perfect, unfortunately I gave it to my son who won't give it back.
Hey, I have same problem, I got the latest ROM, and since then it got even worse. Does anybody knows how to fix the problem, modify ROM, or something, PLEase help.
Thank you.
the only solution i have to date is to change the answerphone delay, you can find your networks status codes here:

Hi,
Maybe some newbie question, but i didn't find any answer that works for the Xperia SP.
I would like to :
- remove the beep when ending a call. Especially really annoying in my car with BT. The sound brokes my ear everytime, i can't stand it anymore.
- understand how to manage phone sound level while in BT in my car.
Let me explain for the last query.
I didn't have all that issues with my former Nokia N8, in fact it's like the phone uses the last volume level setting I make, for my car. If I watched a video and put the volume to 100%, then even if i mute my phone, in my car the volume will be at 100%. I can also say that it updates all volumes in my phone too. Like the call volume level will be 100%. This is really annoying. With my Nokia N8, if i enjoyed a song at 8am and put high level, it did not change the volume level for incoming call. But with the Xperia SP, it is.
Whatsoever, the BT sounds are too high everytime, especially calling tonality, and end call beep.
How to remove them ?
Thanks.
Hi!
My son called me while listening to an audiobook yesterday where I recently swapped my iPhone for one of my older Androids (Samsung S3 with custom Omega v61 ROM). I had already silenced everything in settings (power button mute etc) and to my surprise the Philips headset was ringing - and LOUDLY too I might add (almost died).
So I spent a lot of time with Tasker and SoundAbout (vibrate on all profiles but none seems to do the magic) but really havenĀ“t been able to sort this one out. I do want the headset to be able to be used for calls also but my "optimal setup" would be that the phone vibrates while a caller calls me muting the BT headset until I have answered making sure the "ringer stays quiet" both on the phone and headset.
The weird part is that the ringtone is not the default of my phone (which has a custom silent.mp3 tone). So I thought it was built into the Philips headset but then I remembered that if I muted my iPhone it works as expected leaving me in hope of solving it for Android as well.
If anyone have time to solve this with me I would be very very grateful.
Thanks guys.

Root Call Blocker
I am very happy that I found Root Call Blocker. It makes sure that my eardrums stays clear of "incoming ringtones at max volume" while listening to my audiobooks. Great.
It seems they "block" the call before the system "acknowledges" it which perhaps explains why its possible where other fails. Are there any way of RCB asking me (popup etc) if I want to "take the call"? As in: it solves my issue, but on occasion it would be great to be able to answer if I want to. Can it be setup in a more clever way or solved with another app than this? Again: the whole point is to make sure that the BT headsets dont "call / alarm" when theres incoming calls. I do however want the phone to "vibrate" (which it now does thanks to RCB). So there only one wish left and that is if RCB could "notify" me that there are a call "ringing" asking me if we should continue to ignore or "answer" the call..
Hi Guys,
I have a few problems with using bluetooth earphones on my note 8, I'm hoping you guys could help me with this:
1. Is there a way to remap the buttons from my bluetooth earphones. Right now a single press on the play button plays or pauses music, but when i click it twice it calls the last called number. Usually this is supposed to skip to the next song. (Skips songs on wired earphones)
2. I usually make and receive a lot of whatsapp calls, but the bluetooth button which I use to answer normal calls doesn't work with whatsapp. It starts playing music rather than answering the call (Face the same problem even with a wired earphone)
3. When I get a normal call while on whatsapp call, the whatsapp call goes on hold until I finish the normal call. Things are fine till then, but once the normal call is over, the bluetooth earphone disconnects from the whatsapp call. I have to open whatsapp and press the bluetooth button again to connect. Gets quite annoying when you're driving especially.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would appreciate any help possible.
Got a Pixel 6 Pro and a Watch 5 Pro, having problems when the phone rings, I answer and can't hear anyone, until I switch to speaker the back to phone, works fine when the watch is disconnected or Bluetooth off, anyone else have this problem?
Pixel 7 Pro and a Watch 5 Pro. Not had this issue.
Stupid question, have you confirmed on the call screen the phone is selected as the audio device?
