Just use the adapt widget from moto widget. And after putting it. Expand it. When you expand it to the full screen width 5x2 it automatically adapts into that bigger widget

Am I doing something wrong or is the wallpaper utility pretty bad?
Every wallpaper I try to use I have to resize but it resizes as if I'm using it on a small screen (Like a Blackberry curve screen). Is there any way to just use a wallpaper without resizing it? Actually I guess I mean cropping it now that I'm thinking about it.
I downloaded the exact size wallpapers for my Hero but then I have to crop it like it's for a small screen and of course I can only use a fraction of the actual image, I must be doing something wrong
Use "Wallpaper set & save" from market.
Also remember that the "correct" size for a wallpaper on your Android is 2 x screenwidth at 1 x screenheight.
So for your Hero that's a 640x480 wallpaper. I use WallpaperPlus to manage wallpapers and have perfect-quality screens
Plus, when you do it using the usual way (without any additional application) note that you have to pull the selection rectangle all the way out...
Common mistake, if you didn't know that already ofcourse...

Thanks WallpaperPlus works nicely. I still don't understand why the regular wallpaper utility does what it does with the cropping business.
Regular wallpaper application works just fine as well over here Just pull all the way out.

Does anyone know how he got that layout along with those icons?
I'm pretty sure he said most/all of it he photoshopped/embedded into the wallpaper. and he used transparent icons with desktop visualizer (widgets) to click on the text. most likely.

i agree... seems the most plausible way to do it
Yes, it's all embedded in the wallpaper. I remember this layout from the screenshot thread here. The user even posted his modded wallpapers for download at some point, if I remember correctly.
Edit: I found his posting for you, where he shared the psd file for his wallpaper

nope. Those power controls dont let you put the app drawer shortcut onto it and the battery indicator on it looks dumb. Not the same one.

Put the app drawer just beside the power control widget.
I believe the power control widget is transparent themed.
The battery widget is "circle battery widget".

That one, with missed calls/sms is called MissedIt 2.10. Date and time comes from Simi Clock 1.66.
The default touchwiz idle screens have a lovely large s-planner widget showing a monthly view. In adwlauncher, and that widget doesn't show up in the list at all. Any ideas on how to get the widget on an adwlauncher Page?

+1Thats also my launcher
Many Samsung widgets not available on other launchers
The answer is no. Samsung has married(hard-coded) its widgets to the Touch-Wiz interface/launcher and if you don't use Touch-Wiz, you cannot use the S-Planner widget. I personally use Launcher Pro and get Pure Grid Calendar widget. I also have on my dock a shortcut to the S-Planner.
I'm trying out Zeam launcher right now and have created an S-Memo shortcut using desktop visualiser, and dropped it into the dock. It works! And I have a 7 icon dock now, is that cool or what!

How to get the home screen clock widget to show the hour number thicker than the minutes number as shown in the below image?
I mean on my Indian Moto X XT1052, the home screen default clock widget shows both the hour and minute number in a thin font. On all the other Moto X everywhere I see that the hour number is thicker. Why is it not showing that way on my phone?
