I have a pc installed in my car, and rather than use usb tether i wanted to tether via bluetooth. Its not like the 1mbps BT connection is gonna bottleneck my data connection.
Anyway the only kernel that iv found to support this is the one posted by google with the wireless tether app.
Is there a better kernel that supports this?
With only 3 days using other kernel and bluetooth tether i simply cannot cope with the speed difference compared to Cyano
BUMP
Is there any way to add this feature to a current Kernel or does it require a certain amount of coding knowledge

Hi team,
We've got a complex network that relys on an MDNS repeater (avahi-daemon) allowing discovery of devices across multiple networks. I understand our issues with the Chromecast is the MDNS packet has a TTL of 1, so no time to route that through..
We're wondering if there are any methods of increasing that TTL?
We don't mind rooting the device to do so.
Thanks all!
Hello, and thanks in advance for any help. I have an app that controls a camera on a mini quadcopter. That is the only interface available. The app connects the phone to the camera via 5.8 gHz Wi-Fi (802.11 a). My phone, HTC Desire 626s, won't work. I don't know if it's because the chipset doesn't support 802.11 a, or if it just isn't enabled. If it can be enabled, any help accomplishing the task would save me from having to buy another phone and would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ed
Le2 X620 can not connect WiFi 5.0 GHz.
Any fix to enable WiFi 5.0 GHz connection?
I read the threads on bypassing the throttle with pda net when connecting a pc to your phone wifi but what are the instructions if I want to connect another tablet like a galaxy tab or an ipad to my hotspot for unthrottled wifi
How can that be done? Change the ttl on those to 65? Use a vpn on those devices?

I know routers such as asus ac66u can spoof the ttl value. So theoretically you can connect your phone to the wifi router and spoof the TTL value, and then connect your devices to the wifi router. Can't guarantee it will work but worth a shot.

I guess I should mention this is for in the car. My kids play tablets when going on road trips and watch Netflix
They use the hotspot on my phone but it eats through that data cap before we reach our destination

A simple inverter would allow you to use a wifi router in the car.
