[GUIDE] Downgrade P40 Pro ELS-NX9 C432 Region and Install GMS Properly - Huawei P40 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey Everyone!
i recently got a huawei P40 Pro, and was really dissapointed to find out we people in the UK didnt get GMS on newer huawei devices and tried all the methods to downgrade my P40 pro to emui 10 but i recently found a way to succesufully downgrade back to emui 10!
NOTES:
You can only downgrade back to 10.1.0.121 but that would be sufficient enough to install GMS
When downgrading back to 10.1.0.121 you will lose USB connectivity but you can either use the USB OTG method or the huawei browser for this tutorial
after downgrade and installation of GMS, google wallet would never work as it relies on safetynet and the device being play protect certified so you wont be able to pay in shops, but huawei wallet and curve will still work
Lets Begin!
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BRICKED DEVICES OR LACK OF HUMAN DECEINTY BECAUSE YOU DIDNT READ IT PROPERLY
Requirements:
A USB-C OTG adaptor (i find the quick switch usb otg adaptor you get in google pixel boxes works really well, if you cant get one any sort of usb otg dongle would work from ebay or borrow one from a friend because you gonna need it as a requirement)
A Windows Computer
A huawei p40 pro (obviously)
STEPS:
1. if your running EMUI 12.0.0.xxx you will need to downgrade back to emui 11.0.0.260, you can just use the normal hisuite downgrade method by going into once you connected your phone
Update > Switch to other version > roll back
2. once you downgraded back to emui 11.0.260 you can use the dload method here to downgrade to the 230 release, that will allow you to downgrade further back to emui 10 because it skips the antirollback mechanism implemented into newer EMUI releases
3. once you downgraded back to the 230 release we can downgrade further
download these three files and keep them somewhere safe and accessible for later
Hisuite 10 here (DO NOT OPEN THIS FILE YET YOU WILL NEED IT FOR LATER)
Hisuite 11 here (INSTALL THIS VERSION FIRST)
HIsuite Proxy here (Use this version as i had better luck with this version)
Now follow these steps carefully to get hisuite running properly
once hisuite 11 is installed dont open it just yet, it will ask for an update, DONT update at all, all you need this version for is the app on the phone
once you connect your phone to hisuite to install the apk and it installs successfully, uninstall hisuite 11, by running the hisuite 10 installation (do not uninstall via programs and features, use hisuite 10 installation package to uninstall hisuite 11)
Once hisuite 10 is installed, dont open it yet and launch hisuite proxy, keep it open or minimised into the taskbar and go to this website to get the required files necessary as shown below, also acitivate an ad blocker as well as youll have to put up with a few annoying spammy ads
ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.121ELS-N29-PRELOAD 10.1.0.1(C432R4)ELS-N29-CUST 10.1.0.8(C432)
Once these files are put into hisuite proxy select "Rollback OS" But dont select "Force Auth Bridge" as that tends to crash hisuite
Click SETUP to kick in hisuite proxy
once the logs appear all green and some yellow (Dont worry thats perfectly normal) Open hisuite by the windows menu or desktop
4. Connect your phone to hisuite and input the code shown on the phone
5. then once hisuite detects your device, go to update > switch to other version (if for any reason it says "no internet connection" please reboot your computer) and should show 10.1.0.121 as an update you can downgrade to, go ahead and downgrade to that version
6. once you downgraded to the version, download these bunch of APKs here but we only really need the GMS file in the zip file, the rest we dont need
7. get googlefier here and install on the device, once installed follow the instructions in googlefier to get past the first step
IMPORTANT: Now, when you install and get past the date setting screen you will notice you cant proceed any further, how to fix that is to install a modified version of microG for huawei devices in the ZIP file i told you to get earlier that has a bunch of APKs once that installs you should be able to get past the first step
8. once you install all google play stuff youll get constantly bombarded by notifications saying "Play services require an action" Heres how you can fix it
1. go to settings > apps > show system processors > google account manager and force stop the app and clear data
2. do the same with the google play store
3. do the same once again with google services framework
reboot device
go to where you saved the zip file earlier and install GMS.apk
go back into settings > apps > show system processors and then force stop google account manager and clear data
go back to google play, force stop and clear data
go back to google services framework, force stop and clear data
reboot device
google play should be fully working without that annoying "play services requires an action" notification but you will see "this device is not play protect certified" heres how you can fix it by the video down below
now your device should be downgraded and has all the google play services installed and fully working!
even if you choose to update to emui 12 youll still keep all your GMS stuff, tested that on my P40 pro running 12.0.0.270 and with the patch01 update
I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!

Did you make the procedure or just copy it from..here, from...there?
I am asking because I can recognize my work, and you didnt mention that. And this is against the rule of the forum.

No I followed from my own experience, maybe because it'd worded differently in my end doesn't mean I copied it directly, don't jump to conclusions

Sure. 11 months later, but it is OK. Well done.

Hello, I need help. I have a Huawei Mate Xs and I'm currently on EMUI 12.0.0.290. A month ago, I downgraded to EMUI 11 and then to EMUI 10. Now, after a month, when I try the same downgrade (absolutely the same version of the system, using the same method), the lowest I can go is EMUI 11.0.0.168. When I try to roll back to EMUI 10, any version, the device goes into bootloop and nothing helps (delete cache memory, factory reset). The only way is System Recovery via HiSuite Proxy on EMUI 11 and that's it. Has anyone else had a similar problem and is there a chance that Huawei will put some sort of ban on it with the 12.0.0.290 update

Thank you for this. I was struggling but this solution worked for me in 2023.

Im strugling with downgrade now, but in my opinion region must be the same i think. Not R6 when eou have R5, and after it downgraded to R4 on 10.1.0.121.

It is working. I have just used your link. Try other browser.

My P40 Pro runs exactly that build, 11.0.0.260, (C432E3R6P4), but my preloaded version has R6 in it, so that means I need to install a preloaded version that matches my R number. Instead of installing C432R4 I need to install the C432R6 in order to avoid bricking my phone, right? Im not sure

Right. But changing the R will not brick the phone.

Thank you very much for sharing this guide/tutorial + thanks to @badmania98 for his guide too: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...news-discussion-support.4346741/post-85860061
i was quite confused to which EMUI version (10.1.0.121 or 10.1.0.131 like a youtuber used) for which to downgrade to be able to install google service / GMS on my P40 Pro (ELS-NX9 C432)
Looks like it's working though for me

hi
thanks guys (Daniel and Sherwinter) for the unvaluable tutorials.
i've managed to make it work on a p40 with emui12.
Any chance to get rid of the "phone does not meet the security requirements" when i am trying to use google pay?
I've tried various things but no success...unfortunately there i have all my cards(and are quite a lot) and dont want to return to 8 banking apps

No. You can try Curve app ( from App Gallery) if it is available in your country.

understood.
multumesc

Can't upgrade HiSuite to 1.8.10.2806

Hello
Been fighting this problem for days now. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling no change.
PC runs 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
Current HiSuite version installed is 1.8.10.2706
It keeps telling there is a newer version of HiSuite - 1.8.10.2806
When i agree to download it, it downloads it, runs and when installation is complete version stays the same - 1.8.10.2706
Judging by the file name it downloads, it should be right version but ... i am at loss what to do.
On HuaWei site latest version download is 1.8.10.26.06
Of course i downloaded it as well - it also wants to upgrade to 28.06, with the same results.
Anyone of you have ran into this issue?

Try to uninstall Hisuite and after remove (if present) the folder where the program was installed; then connect the phone with usb in Hisuite mode and start the installer that appears when you connect the phone.. now it should start download the latest version... my hisuite version is 1.8.10.2806

Exactly this I wanted to say
Thanks!
I uninstalled HiSuite, then removed all folders. Found out that there is one folder with Huawei service still running even after removal of HiSuite!
I suspected this was the culprit.
Killed this service and removed the folder.
After that i downloaded 1.8.10.2606 from the web and installed. On first run it downloaded 1.8.10.2806 itself (it showed download progress indicator) and installed it successfully.
Thank you all!

HELP! Bootloop after android pie update using Hisuite

Hi every one. I can't find solution to my problem so I decided to ask your help.
Few days ago I read that I can update my Huawei p10 to android pie officialy through Hisuite. Scanned for update and it said that I'm on the latest android which was emiui 5.1 so I started to look for a way to force it and found solution (will be posted bellow).
After it Hisuite found pie 9.0.1 update and after downloading the files it started installing it. After that it loaded 100% and rebooted, then rebooted again and again and again... shortly realised that it's bootlooping. Tried to turn it off and yet it kept bootlooping, took it apart disconected battery and hopped to enter recovery mode or fastboot, boot as soon as i plug the battery in and put usb or power on button same thing continued and i can't enter those modes whatever i do. Can anyone help me with this?
Oh yeah, I've tryied this methode on mate 9 pro from 5.1 to 9.1 and it worked flawlessly, then right next after that I attempted p10. Also i think i didn't do anything with firmware finder couse i saw update anyway.
Also on backup photo Details it shows build VTR-L09C432B171 ithat was before me trying to update it
Update methode
"Instructions how to get an authorized version of EMUI 9 on EMUI 9 via Firmware Finder
Attention, this method requires more success checks.
1. Add a line to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
188.225.84.142 query.hicloud.com
2. Download and install HiSuite9.0.2.304, BUT NOT RUN:
3. Replace the files:
httpcomponent.dll move with the replacement in C:/Program Files (x86)/HiSuite or other directory in which the application is installed HiSuite
HiSuiteConfig.xml move with the replacement in C:/Users/YOURUSERNAME/AppData/Local/Hisuite/userdata/UpdateDogDev
4. Open FF (any, I like the smartphone to register - less action)
Looking for a permitted Android 9 for your device on the principle: device_model: VTR-L29 or VTR-L09,
NOTE: Firmware must be approved for your IMEI
Once again, make sure it is permitted, registers the update for eRecovery.
NOTE: There are two types of firmware: CHN, i.e. for Chinese devices and OVS, for all the rest. So if you do not have Chinese firmware, then you need to pay attention exclusively to OVS.
5. Run HiSuite, connect the device, looking for an update, update, enjoy."
IIm still lost. Is there anything i can do?

Downgrade From 9.0.0.286

I managed to downgrade from 9.1.0.311 to 9.0.0.286 through HiSuite, but I want to downgrade even further, to EMUI 8.1(preferably 8.1.0.152?) as both EMUI 9 and 9.1 have very poor battery life on performance on my phone. I have the bootloader locked and my model is CLT-L09 C432. Before I updated to EMUI 9.1, I was on 9.0.0.270 and the option "Switch to other version" (EMUI 8.1) was available on HiSuite. Now it isn't on 286.
So, is there any way to downgrade?
Regards,

I'm just in the process of doing the same.
Use DLOAD method to get back to 9.0.0.195, then hisuite will give you the option to roll back to 8. (You'll need a usb-c otg cable) - This wipes the phone, be warned.
Download 9.0.0.195 here:
https://androidhost.ru/T8h
Basic Instructions:
Unzip the package. delete the CLT-LXX that you don't need. (so remove CLT-29 in your case)
copy the files to the SD card. Place the inside a folder called dload. (so you'll have "update_sd.zip" in the dload folder, another folder under dload called "CLT-L09_hw_eu" in which you'll have another zip called "update_sd_CLT-L09_hw_eu.zip"
open phone dialer and dial *#*#2846579#*#* go to Software Update and then select memory card upgrade. (alternatively with the device off press vol UP + DOWN + POWER and hold)
cross fingers and wait while is does it's thing.
Phone should now boot on 9.0.0.195, and hisuite /should/ give you the option to go back to 8.xx.
...You may be able to go back to 8 directly through dload method, but I've done it in two steps to be safe.
Someone else shared these images to help explain better. (Sorry whoever you are, I don't recall where I got this link from!)

Thanks, but do you have that 9.0.0.195 locally by mistake? It seems that on my computer it downloads with 256k/s and it would take 8 hours to download completely.

That's androidhost.ru I'm afraid - it's painfully slow at the best of times Took me about 2 hours to download it from there earlier.
And it did finnaly work, fortunately. Now I am on good old EMUI 8.1 . Now I still have a question, would it be able to disable the system updates app? As there's always the red dot on the settings icon because it keeps telling me I have a EMUI 9.0.0.163 update. And I don't want to update. I turned off auto wifi updates download but I'm afraid to not force update it after some time.

This is what worked for me. I did it on Windows 10. I just went through the process and it was a bit of mixing and matching various guides.
I'm not your tech support, the only one responsible for following this is you.
If any part of this guide doesn't work for you: too bad. Maybe Google or other users can help you with your problem.
Needed:
An internet-enabled PC
Huawei P10 Lite phone
USB to Micro-USB cable
HiSuite https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/hisuite/
DC-Unlocker (comes with abd & fastboot) https://www.dc-unlocker.com/
Optional: Huawei Driver Tools https://mega.nz/file/qrpBUIKA#zaI8Th0ovgyK48VzFUFAzMNWF2r_R12lNc-uJZsIx4w
Note: I recommend not to buy credits until you've come to the part in my guide which says buy credits.
Install HiSuite
Unzip and install HiSuite on your PC
Start it at the end of the installation (it should show a button with "Start")
Connect the phone to your computer with the USB cable and follow the instructions in HiSuite to install HiSuite on your phone
At the bottom of the (Windows) HiSuite there's an option to do a System Upgrade, mine had the option to install an older version (Android 7 with EMUI 5.1) Install this. (This will take some time)
Note: I've read that some people couldn't downgrade because of modern security fixes. It's possible I didn't run the latest updates, but as far as I'm aware everything was up to date.
The following part might be annoying because HiSuite tries to connect to the phone. I uninstalled it at this point, but I had the Driver Tools installed (and did the Install within said tools).
Phone
Once the phone restarted, go through the set-up as quickly as possible (skip WiFi-setup, decline all optional things and skip account creation)
Go to Settings > System > About Phone > Keep tapping the "Build Number" until you're told you're a developer
Find the developer options (Usually in Settings > System and enable USB/ADB debugging
Open the telephone app and type: *#*#2846579#*#* (it should open a menu automatically after the last *)
Click Background Settings > USB Port Settings and select Manufacture Mode
Once Manufacture Mode is selected, leave the phone untouched
DC-Unlocker, part 1
Unzip the contents of the DC-unlocker zip
Start dc-unlocker2client.exe
In the top left, under "Select manufacturer" change "Huawei modems" to "Huawei phones"
Click the button with the magnifying glass, if you did the previous step hovering should say "Detect phone" on hover
Example out put (this might differ for you, but triple-check a port is detected):
Code:
DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1431
Detecting phone :
selection :
manufacturer - Huawei phones
model - Auto detect (recommended)
Found Applications port COM3
Model : Huawei HiSilicon Kirin Android phone
Serial NR. : [redacted]
Firmware : System 5.1.0.78(0VVV)
DC-Unlocker, part 2
Check again if a model and port is shown in both the output and above the big buttons.
In the top right, click About > Buy Credits
DC-Unlocker site
Select your payment processor
By default it creates a new account, unless you've used this service before, you probably want to keep it this way.
Fill in a username and an email address
You need 4 credits (€4 for me) at the time of writing this, but do check the link "How much do I need?"
Hit confirm and go through the payment process, wait until everything is processed (if you use a script blocker, you might want to temporarily disable it).
At the end you should get confirmation page with your username, a password and 4 credits. (Username and password will be mailed too.)
DC-Unlocker, part 3
Go back to DC-Unlocker
In the top right, click "Server" and enter the details you've gotten
Click "Check login" and see if the output window shows your username and the credits you have left (which should be 4 at the time of writing)
In the top right, click "Unlocking" and then click "Read bootloader code"
The output should show you the bootloader code once it's done. Copy this to a textfile and save it (and keep it in the memory).
You can close DC unlocker once you've saved the code.
Don't be lazy and try to copy/paste the commands following in the next section, since you want to keep the code in your memory, as seen in step 6. Besides, I'll show you some shortcuts anyway! Keep in mind that our example code is 1111222233334444 (yours most likely isn't, mine sure wasn't) and that [tab] will mean the tab-key on your keyboard.
PowerShell/Command Prompt
In the folder where you unzipped dc-unlocker2client.exe to, press [shift] on your keyboard and hold it while right-clicking in an empty area underneath the files, then click "Open PowerShell (or command prompt) here".
Whatever command-line you started will open, type ad[tab] and adb.exe should be appear (shows up as .\adb.exe in PowerShell)
Follow this by typing reboot bootloader. So it should show as
Code:
./adb.exe reboot bootloader
(no ./ in command prompt)
Hit [enter] and the phone should reboot to a screen with a white background
Once the bootloader screen shows (white background with the android mascot) type fast[tab] in PowerShell/Command prompt and follow it up by oem unlock[space]
If you still have the bootloader code in memory, right-click in PowerShell/Command prompt to paste it. Your entire line should be
Code:
./fastboot.exe oem unlock 1111222233334444
Hit [enter], the unlocking will start and factory reset your phone. My output was:
Code:
(bootloader) The device will reboot and do factory reset...
OKAY [ 10.330s]
If everything went right you'll see the Huawei/Android bootscreen and then a warning that the phone is "unlocked and can not be trusted" to use or something like that. It'll boot into the OS after that.
I'd like to remind you of the disclaimers at the top, but hopefully this will help some of you going through the process.

Very nice guide, if ppl ask about unlocking we just link this from now on...
This is a very helpful guide, thank you so much! My question is, if I wanted to flash twrp when the bootloader is unlocked, is there a way to upgrade it to Oreo once again without locking the bootloader again? I can't seem to find a twrp tutorial where they use Nougat/Emui 5 to flash twrp, and all the tutorials to upgrade to Oreo/Emui 8 look like they're locking the bootloader once again and I don't really want to waste 4 euros to go back to the start.
A bootloader unlock should be permanent? I've been moving between Android 7 (EMUI 5), Android 8 (Emui 8) and Android 10 myself in all kinds of directions.
Besides, I think the code is tied to your device, so you should be able to use it again. (But I'm not sure about this!)

Thank you for your quick reply! So after the bootloader unlock, did you flash twrp on Android 7? or did you upgrade your phone to Android 8 and flash twrp then? How did you manage to upgrade it to Android 8?
I really appreciate your help with the previous tutorial, I've done everything until the buy credits part (I'm waiting a bit for that part) and I'm planning on getting to the end of the tutorial at least before August. My idea is to upgrade to Android 8 + flash twrp and Magisk, hopefully I'll be able to do all of that!
I did the above procedure on an up to date, official stock Huawei android. Both EMUI & Android are 8. I'm in the Netherlands, so it'should be the same model as in Spain. (WAS-LX1A)
The HiSuite step is to downgrade from EMUI 8 (Android 8) to EMUI 5 (Android 7), since that seems to have less securities to make it easier to unlock the bootloader.
Oh, I understand now! One more question (sorry if I'm being annoying, it's my first time playing with a Huawei, I must say that Samsungs are far easier to root/unlock lol): If I follow your method, but after getting the bootloader unlock code and right before unlocking the bootloader, I use HiSuite to upgrade back to Android 8/Emui 8, would the procedure be fine? like, it's totally fine to unlock the bootloader either with android 7 or 8, the only time I need android 7 is to get my code because DC unlocker supports them better, right?
Again, thank you so much!!!
I'm not sure to be honest. But I reverted to 7/EMUI 5 because I read around here on the board that's better for trying to unlock.
Thank you,
Only fastboot.exe oem unlock xxxxx failed with the following error: FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.022s
This was resolved by going back to settings, developer options and check 'enable oem unlocking'. I didn't read that in your guide.

Hi, I have the same model. But I can't figure out how to update to EMUI8 again (or which custom recovery works). It doesn't find the update in HiSuite and it doesn't find it via System update. Do you happen to know how? Thank you.
What should I do next?
I did manage to unlock the bootloader thanks to this very clear post. I did downgrade to Android 7 / Emui 5.1.1 and have a working rooted system but he is trying to upgrade again to android 8 / Emui 8. I know by experience that it will lock again with the higher version (the unlock code can be used several time fortunately).
I did try to flash some roms on it, going for instance to Lineage OS 14 but it was all a disaster and I think that I need some guidance now..
I am not a newbee for rooting and flashing but do not understand yet the Huawei system; is that so that I have to choose a new ROM with caution, especially with the Emui version? Looking at the old posts, I find some old ROM's even with Emui 5 version but do not understand the path that I should follow to progressively upgrade.
Thanks in advance for your orientations!

For me, I did get to relock by accident but I confirm that the unlock code is permanent (at least, I did use it 3 times with no problem!)
P10 lite Pinout
I would like to know if they have tried to unlock the bootloader with the Pinout method.

I ran into the same problem. Did you find a solution?
I followed this guide, downgraded to EMUI 5.1.1 and tried to install several custom ROMs. But none of them will boot. It is always stuck on the splash screen with the "bootloader unlocked" warning and doesn't get any further.
I tried installing LineageOS 17.1, 15.1, and RR on Android 9 but no luck on any of these. Also, is it possible to revert back to the stock ROM? Maybe that will help...
Thank you all for any help
Nothing unfortunately, I did finally reinstall Android 7 with HWOTA https://www.******.com/huawei-hwota-tool-for-huawei-devices/ and managed to have a working Android 7 / Emui 5 that works perfectly if you do not forget to make a complete wipe/reset when rebooting. The bootloader is still unlocked.
Strange enough this system is upgradable through the normal update system (parameter/system/update) and keeps the unlocked bootloader. Today, I did upgrade to a very last built today - 394(C432) - without problem. Apparently I just have to re-root it through trwp.
I keep it like this now, finally, the Huawei system is not bad! and it is yet rooted

Is 394(C432) finally coming as OTA? Back in July I had to download it via firmware finder and flash it with HWOTA after unlocking the bootloader... lol just to relock after updating... However even Huawei support didn't know about 394 and denied it would even exist, not too surprising in hindsight! Still eversince I was wondering if it ever comes as simple OTA, which indeed seems the case eventually!

Yes, WASLX1A 8.0.0.0394(C432) did arrive as OTA around the end of October. I was surprised as I did not expect any new update on this phone!

Yeah, it's actually crazy cool that it was patched after all this years, I however read it was primary updated to support the coronavirus warning App framework! That's actually the reason for Huawei to push another last update!
Sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory but was written on their Homepage...

Downgrade option doesn't exist for me in Hisuite. My phone is WAS-LX2 8.0.0.370(C185). The last update I got was on 13 February 2019 with the 2019 Feb security patches. Is there a free way to unlock bootloader?

SOLVED:Soft-brick Huawei P30 pro:Your device has loaded a different operating system

I already sent a private message to a Recognized Contributor on XDA.I think that If post here I could help also other members.
I have problem with my new huawei p30 pro.It was stuck on android 9 and emui 9 ,I tried every official modes to force the update. But I couldn't achieve that.
So I tried with hisuite proxy .I finded my Device model(VOG-L29) region: C431-HW-EEA , then clicked on add rom on firm Finder v2 .The version was the lastest 102.0.0.134
The procedure was smooth and I choosed the right ROM (100% sure!I already have that webpage open)Once finished the smartphone installed the EMUI 12 but once restarted the massage: Your device has loaded a different operating system! scared me .
Do I broke the phone? Is there a way to fix it without changing the motherboard?
Thanks a lot every help will be appreciated so much
Little Update.
I tried several methods trying solving this big issue.
1.Update from Erecovery trying to download and recover the package via WIFI
RESULT:the phone updated from 12.0.0.134 to 12.0.0.149 but once rebooted the
same result with black screen and the massage: Your device has loaded a different operating system
2.I done the same procedure of this guy
I also saved the log file of hisuite and here are the version before I made that mess:
* FirmWare_Base:VOG-LGRP2-OVS 9.1.0.240
* FirmWare_Cust:VOG-L29-CUST 9.1.0.4(C431)
* FirmWare_Preload:VOG-L29-PRELOAD 9.1.0.2(C431R2)
So The ROM I selected on huawei firm finder v2 was good(VOG-l29 102.0.0.134)
I succeeded to Recover and install the previous ROM,the 9.1.240,with hisuite and hisuite proxy
but once finished an error on the p30pro appear: Software install failed.
tried also the 10.0.0.195
I'm thinking about dload with otg or nm card but I don't know the procedure.
Could you guys help me?
Thanks
As the title changed I solved the problem of soft brick.
I write here the tutorial to help those who might have the same problem.
Requirement :OTG cable ,exFat formatted pen drive and the right Firmware to flash.
Create a dload called folder inside the pen drive and put in it the 3 Firmware's .zip file(base, cust and preload)
I specify that my p30 was bricked on version 12, so my first attempt was to load the version
VOG-L29 hw eea VOGUE-L29C 9.1.0.115(C431E4R2P2).
To flash the firmaware from usb pen take the phone off and hold the volume up button for several seconds while we connect to charge the phone .Connect the usb pen and from erecovery choose OTG update mode.
The result was an unbricked p30 pro but no fast charge and usb data tranfer and I can't get any type of update from OTA.
So I downloaded this version:
https://huaweidownload.com/download/p30-pro/vog-l29-2/10-1-0-123/
I flashed my P30 Pro once again, and of course no USB connection and fast charging. But system afetr few minutes started finding upgrades via OTA. Passed from 10.1.0.179 to 10.1.0.201. Of course I let it upgrade.
It was 11.0.0.138 first, then 11.0.0.174(last EMUI version before version 12 ) came and USB connection was restored.
you can also find other firmware here:
https://androidhost.ru/search.html
https://www.hardreset.info/it/devices/huawei/huawei-p30-pro/faq/firmware/huawei-firmware/
Even if I am a programmer I am new in the world of android bricks and I spent 2 afternoons and many attempts to solve the problem.
The last problem concerns the creation of a backup point. I have tried different version of HiSuite and both windows 10 and 8.1.But I couldn't get data from phone
The solution is to install the Androis ADB inteface Drivers while the phone is connected to the PC. I believe that this way data information is injected to the phone as well as installed on the PC.
take the drivers from here: https://oemdrivers.com/usb-adb-interface
or here: https://www.drivermarket.net/adb-fastboot-drivers-v1-4-3-download-for-windows-latest/
once you carry out this procedure you fixed everything
