Yo.
according to this post *here* its possible to bypass the phones Google register/Verizon activation screen, and allows a person to access to the phones home screen.
my question is this: since the Google register wasnt done, but its now possible to make use of the phones wifi, can we set the account to have permanent open access to the device w/o having to use the corner hack again??
the reason why Im asking is that I currently use a G1 as a wifi device, and Im *very, VERY happy* with it like that, but since its apparent the Android OS on the phone wouldnt receive any further updates (unless I wanna use a custom mod, and therefore have to root the phone to do so), finding an updated device which allow me the same type of freedom would be most preferable.

So two quick questions on here:
1. The settings app that comes standard on the NC is terrible - I keep needing to actually fix things in the settings that I can never seem to get to. Is there a different page I'm not finding? Or do we need an entire new settings app to access the default android settings?
2. Also, I keep getting two strange install failures over ADB (and on the phone through regular install):
INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE
INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY
Any idea on how to fix any of this?

Quick update - a re-root fixed all the UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE problems, but the shared library issue remains.
As far as a better settings app goes, maybe Spare Parts?
I'm sorry if this has already been asked somewhere else... but now that we have root, is it possible to hack the volume to be louder? Like on the OGD?
I was able to install an already hacked email apk, so that the secuiry features in exchange are bypassed...but I really enjoy MOTO's version of the corporate sync...it has a few more options and tools.
Is there a way to fix those things now that we have root? And for that matter, start fixing all of the little annoyances that users have found?
Sorry again if this is in the wrong section...but in my mind, hacks are really developments.

I honestly doubt we will see much hardcore development until a SBF is available to revert back to a known state after a failed hack.
Also, not to be a douche, but this should be posted in general, not dev.

Is possible to hook it? Or find other way (hook Build.VERSION.SDK_INT?)
Not AFAIK.
You could recreate the last part of that method if the minVers check is true (after recreating that check, too), I suppose.
Not sure what you're trying to accomplish but hooking something like SDK_VERSION, even if it were possible, sounds like a horrible idea.

Hi, a bit of a odd one. I want to be able to use one shade/powershade seamlessly without interruptions from androids quick settings, but making it easy to get androids quick settings back by just removing the module...
Hopefully this is possible?
If not is it possible to use edxposed?
