Ultra Slim Fit Case by Supcase

This case looks way slimmer than other cases out there. Comes in various colors.
Downside, is it's made with PU leather and I'm not sure if the flap is strong enough to maintain the triangle position.

This looks very good. I am tempted to go for this over the Poetic slimline

Yea, ppl have been getting bad batches from Poetic. It's good that they are replacing them, but should have gotten it right the first time around.

:laugh: I got it earlier than you. I did look for a very lightweight case for my Nexus 7 that a) did not add much bulk/weight and b) could be folded back so it could be held as if there was no case. And I am glad I did.
-The case is quite thin and the tablet fits nicely in it.
-The case is quite stiff and the corners are slightly wider than the tablet. I think they'll add extra security to the tablet if I drop it.
-The magnets in the cover put the screen in wake or sleep mode when opened or closed.

Recieved my case!
I recieved my case this morning.
First impression: Its excellent. The case is really slim as suggested by supcase. I like the overall feel of the case. Very compact. The tablet sits very tight inside which is something I was looking for. All the ports are exposed and align perfectly. The case extends a little towards the edges, which I think is really good for drop protection. The sleep magnet works as advertised and does not turn the tablet to sleep mode accidentally during use. It also has magnets to keep the flap shut. I am very happy overall with this case. Will post pictures as soon as I get back from work.

What material is it made out of again? PU Leather?

Poetic case is sooo nice, I tried many others, but Poetic is bar far the best.

I was torn between this one and Poetic, because poetic is very nice too. But I think this one provides better drop protection than Poetic and hence I went with it.

The material is great, it has a no slip grip, the ability to stand sideways was what I wanted to watch movies and the price is exactly right! Easy access to all buttons on the tablet.

This case is by far the best case I have found for the nexus 7, it is incredibly thin and does not have any of the useless features, it does exactly what it is supposed to do and nothing more.

Poetic Borderline?

Any word on a Borderline case for the M8, or any other minimal Bumpers?

im interested in this as well.

Yes, Borderline series has a clear plastic back. I really just want a band that goes around the sides

I emailed them and they are not making a borderline case for the HTC One m8 at this time nor have any plans to make one.

Anyone found something similar to the Borderline? Tpu bumper, but just frame, not with plastic back?

Spigen. Best fit and finish overall. I would have loved to get a version that didn't have a clear back.

They don't make clear bumper, only cases. A bumper dosent have back part

I purchased the Supcase Unicorn Beetle case.
It has a translucent back, nice bumper around the phone, It makes the phone easier to grip, yet allows the great design to shine through.

This is what I have. It is a bumper case. You get to see the metal back, while it's being protected. Good enough.

So you think there's a crystal clear (made of transparent plastic or something) bumper only out there? The ones I saw are made of metal and are not transparent, of course...

I also have the metal/slate version. Don't know why the link defaulted to the beigeyGold option.
I don't remember what material the bumper was made from. I've only seen it once. It could have been metal for all I know.

That's also a nice one. Thank you for sharing. I'm always on the market for new cases, and I don't have a bumper case that I'm particularly fond of. This will be a nice addition to my collection. If you come across a case that is of comparable quality to Otterbox, that would be ideal. I don't have a case that I trust with my heart and soul quite yet

Keysion one looks awesome. But since it's linen, I think it will discolorize over time.

Also the keysion will easily get dirt :silly:

Rinkes Fusion is a good case (I have it but didn't use it for long) , though it almost duobles the thickness of the phone and I do love the sleek look and feel of this beauty
Now I'm using a polycarbonate/plastic slim case, not the same amount of protection but sure looks good imo.

I got the RINGKE REARTH Fusion Case (Ink Black). Best casing so far that I can get my hands on for the Honor 8 Pro. :good:
I'm using X-One screen protector for my phone too. It's not Tempered Glass (It's pet film) but no annoying halo or border bubbles that you get on TGP for 2.5D displays. Best so far.

How about the dust caps? Are they hard or soft? Do you think the back will have some scratches over time?

The dust caps are soft so it's easy on and off. Won't be hard when you need to charge. The back since it's just transparent hard plastic, it'll probably be scratched over time but that's it's purpose anyway. Haha. You could always put a clear sticker on it.

Currently I have a case with a dust cap for my Honor 8. The caps are very hard that it pushes the charger a bit and now it doesn't lock anymore with the holes. Thanks. I'm planning to get an Honor 8 Pro and looking for cases. Ringke seems no for me.

iPulse Vintage Book Series Note 8 Review

There was a thread the other day about artek giving free cases so they could get reviews for it, i have been using it for about a week and here's my review:
I recently bought a note 8 so i was looking for different cases, this is one of them.
It is made of real leather so that's always a plus. Now i almost all the time prefer minimalist cases because last couple of samsung phones are just so darn pretty and i like to show it off but this time i wanted to try something different.
It's a case i won't be using everyday because of the same thing but i have been using it for the last week an do far i like most of it specially the attention to detail and that it covers the screen as well.
I have tried wireless charging and yes it works, i'm guessing it will work with some chargers and not with others, the one i'm using has 2 coils i don't know if that has anything to do.
PROS:
+ Real Leather
+ Decent protection for the phone
+ PURDY
+ When using this there's no need to carry a wallet anymore since you can put your cards and some cash in there.
+ Perfect fit.
CONS:
- Using the fingerprint was hard enough with Samsung's fingerprint location, with this case it's even harder.
- Screen doesn't turn on automatically when opening case.
- Bulky, won't be comfortable if you are wearing skinny jeans.
At the end, i would say its a good purchase.

it was slick and felt extremely cheap. davis case is the only way to go for leather wallet case imo
also i dont think it was real leather, if it was it was poor quality of real leather

the issue i have is carbon fiber either have open top or bottom, where as leather case covers everything!

Bud, then you can simply install it with a glass screen protector, then choose a simply TPU slim case.
Trust me, nowadays Phones are built very solid.
Otterbox just take advantage of Scare of losing a thought dollars

i have whitestone on front and skinomi on back just like my phone protected and not open on either end of the case

5T Case Recommendations

Has anyone gotten an especially nice case that they would recommend? One that works with the official screen protector would be best as I think I'm going to get that.

the official red case is nice but i much prefer the one that the 5T comes with.

Dbrand said something along the way that they are first focusing on the ones they have initially proposed to produce/release, but they will add to further phones along the way. Once that comes out, I'll get it with the dragon skin.

Not sure if both models come with a case, but the 128 did. It's in the box where the Sim tool is

Can confirm the 64 also came with one, and screen protection as well. Good move from OnePlus.

In addition to the TPU case that comes with the phone (which I didn't know about, either), I got the Sandstone case from the official store.
It is awesome! Totally great feel to the Sandstone texture, grippy, solidly fits the phone, and all the buttons are EXPOSED (which I find to be ideal) as well as the top and bottom of the phone. It has a lip so the screen doesn't touch when face-down, but it's very minimal. I really love the feel of the phone in this case.

I got the email from them today and they said the 5T is for sure going to be a supported phone after the initial round of phones they're working on. [emoji106]

It does look great and feels great but as far as protection I think it is really just to avoid scratches to the aluminum casing.

Yeah, I never buy cases for protection beyond scratches. It just makes the phone too bulky and ruins the experience for me.

I spent over 600 dollars on this phone and there's no insurance... Protection is a must

Get official flip one....you dont need to double tap or press power button for face unlock...lift the cover and magic !!

Flip cases are cringe

Oneplus 5T
I feel official Red case will be better

I bought the following two cases from Amazon. Just waiting for them to get here. I always like the leather look and full side protection.

I also thought so until i used them on Oneplus 5 and 5T...very sleek...issue with oneplus 5 was finger scanner on front so a sure flop the case...
Its not the same with 5T....very easy to use...

It does provide really good grip which helps you to avoid dropping the slippery phone.
