Hello,
I am the new happy owner of the Pixel 7.
I am looking for a solution for recording calls. I tried various applications, such as Cube ACR and similar. They work, but the quality is poor. I'm looking for a better solution. I was wondering if there is a way to enable native call recording. (On Samsung, for example, I changed the region to one where recording was supported)
If there is no such thing, can you at least recommend a module to use if I root my phone? Well thank you!
With Magisk and GoogleDialerMod should work. See GitHub

I don't understand your answer. You can explain?
You'll need to root the phone. Then use Skvalex, installed via Magisk. It is flawless and has optional cloud backup. Works well with BT headsets/earpieces.
Download
callrecorder.skvalex.com
Yes! that's exactly how I have it now and it works great. Thx for your reply

Have you tried this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643
There is a trial in that thread. I have been using that app for years, and it has been working great on all devices, but I haven't installed it on my N6 yet.
Thanks for the link mate bit too much for my wallet but cheers for the heads up

It is expensive. I've also used it for years on many different devices. I think it used to be cheaper than it is now but if I had to buy it again at full price, I would. It has a lot of options to ensure there is always a way to get the best compatibility with which ever device I get next. Its always had the most consistent audio quality of any of the other recorders I've tried.
I can't recommend this enough. Try the trial. Then try some other apps.

Settings and app for the Nexus 6 (when the app asks to set SELinux to permissive, select no because there's no need for that):

On Lollipop 5.1 the app force closes after a phone call but it still records the phone call (worked perfectly on 5.0.2). The developer has promised to fix the FC issue.
I have someone who is going to take my Sprint Note 9 back to Oreo. Recording a phone is a must in my profession.
My question is the person doing it says there may not be a way save the data. There has to be a way to save it and put it back on, right?

Doesn't for me on Sprint Note 9. Got Pie update from Oreo Friday night. Saturday couldn't record a phone call using ACR, Cube ACR and two others I tried. I'm far from an expert on how to mod phones so I was looking for help. I'm a reporter so I record a lot of interviews over the phone and use those to write stories later. I have to be able to record calls or I'm in trouble.
Then buy a xiaomi phone, poco for example has Native call recorder built in the phone app,.

Hi, I have downloaded an app called Automatic call recorder by appliqato.
I used this app before with no problems on my previous phone (mi a1).
But for some reason, now it is recording but with no sound.
Any idea why?
Thanks a lot!
Maybe it worked on your older phone because it had an older android version. It appears goolag has decided that we won't be allowed to record our phone calls under android 10. That is until they change their mind.

Yes you are right, My old mi a1 was on android 8 when I used it.
do you know of any way of enabling it?
maybe with root?
or by downgrading android?
It's really important for me to record calls.
edit: I read a little bit and found this: https://www.boldbeast.com/forum/topic1877-android-10-call-recording.html
this app does work if you enable the accessibility setting, but for some reason, the other person is not as loud in the recording as he is when talking to him, but it's close enough so I will take it
Almost any custom MIUI ROM has such function by default.

You have to use the apk from the website, not the playstore app!
From the official boldbeast website:
No root needed, but special operation needed
In some countries in some phones, the call recording feature of Android 10 is disabled but Boldbeast Recorder can bypass the limits to enable it. Please:
- Confirm you are using Boldbeast Recorder V12.9 or a newer version.
- Tap "Settings - System - Accessibility" in your phone (not in Boldbeast), enable Boldbeast Call Recorder on the screen.
- Tap "Set Default Settings" in Boldbeast Recorder.
Then it works at once, both your voice and the caller's voice are loud and clear in recordings, no root needed.
For example, Android 10 phones like Galaxy S10, Note10 etc in many countries work great this way.
The voice of the other person on the line is a bit weak, but usable.
On my rooted phone, both voices are equally loud & crystal clear.

I have installed app (Boldbeast Recorder V12.9) from website but my recordings are empty... files are created but it's just silence when you play it back.
There are 12 Record Modes (1-7, 11-14 and Alsa Mode (Root)). What Mode should be used for Mi 9T Pro, MIUI Global 11.0.1?
I use record mode 12

I think only India firmware has this option
Anyone know how to get service mode to work?
After entering by giving *#0011#.
Giving "Q" and "0000" does not seem to work with newer galaxy phones.
I would like to change my band to Band 3 , my older oneplus was rooted but I think rooting is not required here for Samsung.

If you are on android 12,there is no call recording option.downgrade to android 11 or 10
If your phone is rooted, you could install Firefds Kit for android 12 or Firefds Kit [R] for android 11 on LSPosed(seek guide for installing this). You could enable recording after you install the module and enable call recording menu inphone in left section of the Firefds kit. Try and tell if you could do this.
I just got a Moto G9 Plus. It comes with Android 10. Can I downgrade to Android 9 Pie? I need to do this because I cannot use Call recording which I need on Android 10. I probably would not try this myself but take it to a repair shop to have it done. Is it possible to do this on a new phone?? Thank you.
Sapper Morton said:
Since you must unlock the bootloader to even boot an unsigned (OEM) system image, it's easier to just root the device, there's some modules that enables call recording on Android 10. As for Android 9, it would be hacky, since the device launched on 10, there's no source code for Pie, you would have to bring support from the ground up.

So I cannot do it.. I have not found a call recording app that works on Android 10 while using headphones. I currently use Cube recording on my Android 9 Samsung. Works great. Google who wants to control what we all do has blocked the ability to record phone calls in Android 10&11. I would think someone has found a way around it. Do you know of any? Thank you
Sapper Morton said:
Just to let you know, Google added support for call recording on their dialer app, check yours, it got recently enabled on my country.

I will check and see if I can do this. I don't use their dialer app so I am not familiar with it. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I really appreciate it
I keep hoping that one of the current call recorders will work around Andriod 10. Maybe if I was more phone tech-savvy There would be a way.
