Hi I have a phone that was purchased in the Korea (SM-G998N). I need to change it to be the International version (SM-G998B/DS) .
Is it possible? If so, should I do anything special or just download the f/w and flash.
Thank you.
Not possible...even csc change is not possible with Korean device.
Also, next time search before you create a new thread.

Changing the IMEI of your device is illegal in most countries.
And no, you can't just change the model number, the hardware is different in these devices, and you can't just flip a switch to have an Exynos SoC instead of a Snapdragon, etc.
But I must be change my IMEI

And why do you HAVE to change your IMEI? What do you hope to achieve with it?

Mobile phones are subject to high taxes, 3-4 times the price. We buy from abroad at affordable prices and copy the old device imei number

Grab your region's version, then flash via Odin.
I find it easier to not flash the latest version, but to an older version (4.1.1) just to make it feel "Stock-ier".

Perhaps in the east that is more than alight. But here if it's not the original CSC and there is no record of a service centre changing it you are screwed.

Hi,
sorry for being (a little?) off-topic, but i've not found a better place to ask: is there a way to unlock this phone from Orange Romania? Product code is 059x0g9. I've followed the tutorial, and i've flashed the firmware recommended above, but when inserting a SIM card from Telecom (a T-Mobile subsidiary), it complains that the phone is locked into other operator's network.
Would i have a better chance by flashing a Vodafone Romania firmware and using one of those cards? Or is this phone doomed to be part of Orange network forever?
Regards,
Cornel

Hi I have a phone that was purchased in the states and it is US unlocked (SM-G998U1). I need to change it to be the International version (SM-G998B/DS) with an Israeli CSC to get the call recording feature.
Is it possible? If so, should I do anything special or just download the f/w and flash.
Thank you.

Well, I tried but I can't reach them. Besides they probably specialize in tapping, not a direct call recording.
