Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to unlock my phone, have tried the official unlocking app without success (it's always giving me an error, 21003, I opened a thread also on zentalk community Asus UnlockApp not working)
Is there an unofficial way to unlock it? Or anybody have faced this issue and founded a way out?
Thanks
Hi,
I remember that I had to run the unlocking process for a while before it eventually succeeded. I would say easily 50 times... I was about to stop when it worked.

Finally some good news!!! https://nokiapoweruser.com/hmd-announces-bootloader-unlock-for-nokia-8/
I doubt it. It's over a year old now and not likely to be the focus of their efforts, and those HMD guys seem like wankers anyway, giving us a Sophie's choice instead of bootloader unlock for all of their phones.
well, someone already tried to do the process in his nokia 5 ??
I tried but at the time of installing the apk I got an error, I think it's because I'm in the 7.1.2 firmware
it would be a matter of trying to update to 8.1 and see if it is feasible to unlock the bootloader

It's only for Nokia 8 for now. Why would you even try to do that without reading about it?
I am getting the following error while trying to Unlock the Boot loader. Any suggestions?
Go to developer options and add your account under mi unlock status.
Check if you have turned on USB debugging and oem unlock if not then turn on and then try again.
This is known issue with xiaomi devices and it's not fixed since it's introduced in 2016 till now.
The least waiting time is 3 days and it could be for week or even more days to get bootloader unlocked.
Many users gets issue despite adding all correct information so there's need of patience.

I have done all of those, and I am still getting this error. Have been trying for more than a week now.
Tried with an older version (2. version), Modified version of Mi Unlock Tool and tried with new account. Everytime I get the same error.

Then it looks like it's a error from their end, probably server error. As I've already mentioned they haven't fixed this issue from their end since long.
Moreover i think they are doing this on purpose to tackle some bad reseller's who put fake miui with bloatware and other stuff.
I would recommend you to use official mi unlock tool to prevent any issue.
There are some users I've seen in the past using beta ROM they were able to get bootloader unlock instantly but this was more than a year ago so I don't know if this will work now or not since I heard from someone(not sure though, since I don't use miui forum anymore) they have disabled flashing beta ROM from updater app, mostly for same reason to prevent unlocking bootloader.
If you still may want to flash beta ROM and try to unlock there's tutorial on miui forum 'how to flash beta/stable china/global rom' without unlocking bootloader in order to have beta ROM in your device and then unlocking bootloader.
But I would recommend you to wait and try again later with official mi unlock tool. since I haven't been on miui forum for long time and totally unaware if this will work now or not.
They may have changed the process how bootloader unlocks.
Do this with your all responsibility if you choose to do so.
So 3 months after I got the phone, I tried to unlock the bootloader about 2 weeks ago, and got the timer (168 hours). Now when I tried to unlock it again, it's mostly giving me (Like 9.5 out of 10 times) a "Couldn't verify device: Can't get info" Error at 50%. There are rare instances when it goes beyond 50% and stops at 99% it will give me the following error (please see attachments).
I've tried everything from:
1. Re-linking my account in "Mi Unlock Status"
2. Removing fingerprints and lockscreen
3. Running unlock tool with admin rights
Could this be because I may have disabled some background apps or some of the apps I installed? I did leave Mi Cloud and Mi Account Sync on along with Find my device. If yes, then would a factory reset solve this problem?
I don't know what to do anymore :crying: . If anybody could help that would be greatly appreciated
Xiaomi sucks i had the same problem i got my phone 1 month earlier and everytime i tried to unlock they doubled the wqiting time in total im gettingv2 months of waiting and still im not sure after thzt, they will not add more time. They ducks with their unlock process, we want it to unlock this **** why making it complicated ? Chinese bastards

Download an earlier version of the unlock tool from here and try unlocking with the earlier version https://c.mi.com/thread-2262302-1-0.html
Some people have reported that using an older version works in these cases.
Use the miflash_unlock-en-2.3.803.10 version, it'll work!

You probably need to use a VPN service. I had similar problem with my MIX 2 and I had used Plex VPN and then only could unlock bootloader
Thank you to everybody who gave advice. It was weird, since what I did was:
1. Logged into the Mi Cloud website with my Mi Account
2. Checked if my phone was online
3. Tried the Find Me option, and was able to locate it (scary stuff and one of the reasons why I'm unlocking my bootloader)
4. Left it for a day and when I tried to unlock the following day, I was able to unlock it immediately
Seriously, the unlocking process of Xiaomi phones is a bit tedious and varied.

Thank you, using Find Me I was eventually able to unlock
I will agree on the tedious unlocking process. The last phone I will buy from them will be the Android One ones (A1/A2/A3). I had a fuss-free experience with my A1.
Hello guys,
like many other people my Xiaomi A2 phone don't want to boot anymore. Everytime i tryied to start, it got stuck at Android One screen an reboots. I've tried every powerbutton/vol-button combination i could found but nothing worked, only fastboot mode was possible. I red very much here and in other forums. Because my bootloader is locked, I opened my phone to flash it with the testpoint method. I tried different versions of the mi-flash-tool between 2015 and 2018 and also tried various rom versions between V9.6.13 and V10.0.13 but nothing worked. Mostly the process fails with the Error "ACK Count don't match". Especially with newer versions of the mi flash tool.
I have the global version of the phone and never flashed any other rom before the phone got bricked.
The drivers I use are from the mi community forum (can't post link because i'm new. Title is: [All in One] MIUI Flashing Guide: Unbrick, EDL Method / Locked Bootloader, Unlock Bootloader, More)
I also tried different USB Ports.
It would be really great if you could help me with any other idea or tip!
where you from? do you have telegram? i was in dsame situation last night but i manage to make it work doing testpoint method.
Go Service Center Your Problem Solve Because I Face Same Problem And Know I Save My Mi A2 Life
Hello. Did you manage to solve the problem?
I have the same situation.
I don't know if this is the same situation as you guys, but I managed to successfully flash my MI 6x with wayne v 10.3. Even then the phone always starts in a bootloop. I'm beginning to suspect this is a hardware problem.
I faced a similar issue. Have you managed to solve it? I also have the same error and can't flash "ack count don't match"
Hi
I read the threads but i don't find a solution.
I have a problem with my realme X2 Pro fingerprint sensor (and face unlock). It mounts Android 10, with penultimate software release.
I bought the cell phone by second hand, and therefore , I don't know what kind of wrong modding was done previously.
To try to fix it, I initially performed several resets, but nothing. Then I checked the bootloader, and I found it locked.
So i tried to unlock the bootloader, but the fingerprint and the face unlock were always broken.
Then I installed twrp, and i flashed an ozip with android 9, format data, but nothing, still broken...
I also try tests in the hidden menĂ¹, but nothing, fingerprint autotest "FAIL".
I found in xda guide about lost "persist" on op8.
could it be a similar problem for my phone, since op8, oppo and realme are part of the same family?
do I have the possibility to replace my "persist", or at least check if it is present on my Realme, or has it been lost?
Anyone can help me ?
Maybe this guide will help you https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8/how-to/guide-fix-persist-img-loss-finger-print-t4126455
