I have a pair of IEM, i have a usb dac dongle. With the 10pro i cant use the mic the headphones during phone calls anymore, the same USB dac works with a 7pro and i try it on a galaxy s22, to receive calls.
Is there a setting I'm missing, cuz the phone recognizes the usb dac, even i can press the volume buttons and control tracks forward and back. But cant use the mic.
Really annoying.. Does A13 fixes it?

Do they work well ? My stock headset is dying and want to replace it with a standard jack headset. Does this adaptator affect the sound quality ?
And on a side note, does headset buttons and controls still work if I use it ?

Sound quality is not affected, i'm sure at 99%,but all depends on your headphones,i bougth a snheisser by 10$ and i'm so glad with them.
About the buttons headset didn't proved it but i think they would work.
I bought something like that, the phone doesn't automatically detect it so I have to use a widget to activate it. The sound quality is ok, but it's better over bluetooth

One you have showed is 5-pin mini USB(male) to 3.5mm jack (female) and if button is on the connector it will work, if button is on your earphones then it will not work. I also use this kind of connector but it came with the box.:good:
Hi I was listening to my music and I was impressed but just wanted that bit more volume I don't want to root ect (I cannot believe I'm saying that)
Has anyone tried a usb dongle which ships with most phones without headphone jack as I've heard some have a dac built in and sound much louder ect
Suppose another question is would it even work on out phone as we already have a headphone jack will our phone evem recognise music through the usb type c adapter?

you can get external DAC's that use the usb out to get direct digital audio, bypassing the A/D D/A conversion.
I have a pair of headphones (AKG N90Q) that have built in DAC. they can grab audio direct from the usb output.

I use Sony MDR 1ADAC with usb C sounds amazing!
Thanks gonna take a look at some I'm no audiophile but just nice to have that better sound when you want it

Right just tried some gaming headphones which have a dac and I've tried them both on the note 8 and the ps4 pro remote and both sound quiet and lacking volume
But when I plug them into the tv the quadruple in volume does this mean that the note 8 and ps4 are just not as loud even tho I'm using the dac from the headphones

When I plug my cable earphones using the included usb plug adaptor, seems that the Mi9 cancels the Mic, both the mic from the earphones and the mic from the phone.
For example when playing PUBG, I can hear but can't tak bc mic is cancelled ... is there any way that the mic, at least of the phone is not muted when earphones connected with cable?

Same problem here, first xiaomi device, so it's not just me, good to know.
Recently bought Bluetooth headphones works fine with audio recieving, but mic doesn't work, while call or any app or even audio recorder. Phone audio is enabled in Bluetooth settings of paired headphones, but mic still ain't working. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Mine isn't working in general after the march 1 update. I tried bluetooth, wired microphone and the phone microphone.
Mine is working. Both phone mic and wired headphones. Only for the headphone 3.5mm jack i have to turn the other way round to make it work. Only one side of the usb type c is working. Charging all is ok. That's it. This is after the march 1 update.
I still use wired headphones, i have a usb type c dac adapter. The S3 has mic support with headphones, the same usb dac works with the 7pro.
When i plug it into the 10pro, i only get the headphone icon next to the 5G icon, i don't get hey microphone/headphone icon anymore. To make it weird, the mic controls work. Like volume up/down or play/pause/next
Is there a way this is or that's how android 12 is
