After flashing the update in TWRP, flash Magisk again.
I was trying to update from MIUI A11 EEA 12.1.2 to EEA 12.1.4 but my TWRP couldn't access my data partition.
Note that you may or may not have to do some of these steps. Let me know what works!
1. Removed pattern, fingerprint etc. (Try without removing this first.)
2. I used LRs TWRP, whyle might work. Let me know.
3. Important! Go to fastboot and boot to twrp from there using "Fastboot boot twrp.img". Do not flash to recovery.
4. You're in! Flash your downloaded ROM immediately from your internal storage.
This is what worked for me, and hopefully yours too. I dread the format data button.
where did you get the LR TWRP? Please provide a link

You don't need to use twrp to upgrade with official release, just download the zip to your phone, go to settings, about phone, miui version and tap on the miui logo multiple times until the message "additional update features are on". Then you will have option to choose update package from phone storage and can update to newer miui without twrp (even without bootloader unlocking)

This is even better. Didn't know you can do this! Still it's worth a post for whoever needs to access twrp and couldnt.
Hello guys i wanna to ask can we flash Realme 8 5G Preloader to our Redmi Note 10 5G and Poco M3 Pro (it have same cpu name MT6833) so can we flash it by using fastboot flash preloader ?
If you want brick yes u can
MY POCO M4 PRO 5G IS BOOTLOOPING. RECOVERY WORKS AND FASTBOOT BUT I HAVE LOCKED BOOT LOADER
I think you need to unlock it again with Xiaomi tools. Then flash a new rom. Otherwise, you won't be able to do anything about it.
my poco m3 pro 5g cellphone has a hardbrick no rom, when booting there is no logo, can't enter fastboot or recovery, please give a solution
Mod edit: looks like the partition is in error
