My S21 bricked/got stuck on the Odin screen (aqua downloading screen) during the One UI 5 upgrade. I have been in touch with Samsung support however nothing they suggested worked. I wish to backup media (mostly photos) from the device so sending it away to support is out of the question. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on how to get past the Odin screen when the phone is not responding to physical button presses?
I have in the same situation...
Please if somebody can help me....See this post:

I take no responsibility, but you can try using this (it worked for me a couple of times):
Download FRP Hijacker Tool 2023 to Remove Samsung FRP Lock
FRP Hijacker tool is a free utility program made by Gsm Hagard that helps to bypass FRP lock from Samsung phones in a few steps. Download

Ok try and do this as best as I can......
I bought a vwz S8 G950U used off someone from offer up was working fine when I bought it so when I got home I factory reseted to get all the users apps games etc off it and then it asked for a Google log in info (which I don't know) and I tryed to email the person but won't respond
So I tryed to install factory to binary to bypass it from what I been reading says I can do well I can get in factory binary now but now I cannot install oem stock firmware which I have downloaded 7.0 (what was on it ) says factory binary samsmobile and xda but every time odin3 gives me a fail message I have tryed odin3 3.127,3.13.1,3.12.3 and I think 1 more but every time I get a error....
So right now when I turn on the it his to factory binary mode and don't know of this helps but the battery won't charge past 80%....
What I'm asking if someone can be kind enough to help me out with this issue
P.S. I also tryed to instill Oreo 8.0 also but failed as well....
I can get any I go and post pics if that helps as well
Thank you in advance Jason A.KA. PpperoniRedd

5th digit back is boot loader bit number. This error is commonly from trying to flash with older firm Ware than on the devices

Hi All, I really need some help. First post. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 SM-N950F/DualSim from eBay in mint condition for £285 a few months back. Works perfectly. Waited until end of March but no Android 9 One UI update. Realised I hadn't got ANY updates what so ever since I got it. Contacted Samsung and they say because it is from a different region it can't be updated in the UK. I find this extremely unfair. I use a Blackberry Key2 as my main phone and Note 8 as a second phone which I don't always carry. Use it more to surf and watch videos with once I get home.
I have never rooted or Odined or anything else before so am not too excited about any of that stuff. I just need the simplest tutorial there is to get my phone to update and to continue to update if that is possible. I am currently on Android Oreo 8.0 and security patch August 2018!
Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S I have no idea which region it's from but the serial number is R58J944Z7HT

Dial *#1234# in phone dialer. Look at the CSC line and look for "OXM" in the line eg. N950F"OXM"5CSA2. If you see that then:
Read page 1:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/official-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3677072
To find your CSC:
You can go to system settings/ about phone/software information/ service providers SW ver. (Look for something like this example TPA/TPA/XEU , should be last line in that section. Yours might be different but it should be in this format CSC/CSC/CSC .)
2nd spot TPA is the your carrier CSC (set by your sim card.)
3rd Spot XEU is where your phone is from.
So look at the second spot for your CSC code.
So know you have the:
Model of note 8 : SM-N950F or SM-N950F/DS (doesn't matter firmware is for both phones.)
The multi-CSC firmware OXM
And your CSC code.
Now you have 3 choices:
1) Connect phone to PC and use smart switch to update phone (if there is one for your csc). This will keep data intacted!
2) You can use samfirm.exe on PC to download the firmware for your model phone and CSC and use the latest Odin to update.
Use "Home-CSC" file to keep data intacted!
Warning DO NOT use "csc" file this DELETE DATA! (Or you
want to delete data.)
3) Use samfirm.exe to download the firmware for any CSC that's in that multi-CSC OXM that's listed in that thread I posted and latest Odin.
Use "Home-CSC" file to keep data intacted! This will keep
your CSC the same!
Warning DO NOT use "csc" file this DELETE DATA! (Or you
want to delete data.)
Now you might need to Odin everytime the new update or you might be lucky and you'll get the OTA.
I have the N950F in Canada and I get OTA update here, maybe because my 3 csc code is XEU/XEU/XEU(your will be different! )(because the multi-CSC oxm doesn't support my carrier csc so it stays default XEU/XEU/XEU. )
Your case maybe different so I would get used to using Samfirm.exe and Odin to update your phone.
Or you can always wait and see if you get the OTA, your choice!
If you don't have the OXM or do you can go to
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N950F/
To look what country the CSC belongs to (CSC in this case is the 3rd spot in this eg. XEU/XEU/XEU)
Eg XEU is UK/Ireland
XSG is United Arab Emirates
Hi,
I had exactly the same issue; bought a Note 8 on ebay last year (also in mint condition) - it's a Dual SIM model also. But mine had not had a security update since March 2018. Like you I contacted Samsung support and was told that there isn't anything they can do. One suggestion was to send the phone to its country of origin so that it can pick up security updates OTA - not really an option for me...
I bit the bullet today and followed the procedure set out by BluePhnx. The whole process took about 1 hour. I was taking my time because I have never attempted anything similar before. Everything worked great and I now have Android Pie with Samsung One UI More importantly the security version is March 2019. All my apps and data are intact and S-Pen continues to work great.
Thanks BluePhnx for the guide.
Best,
TB
I have bought a Samsung Galaxy S10+ on an online auction in good faith (proof of purchase available upon request) that was advertised as working but for parts. It is running Android 10 and I have tried almost every fix that I could find. I believe that it will work with Odin, but I am having trouble extracting the .pit file from the .md5 file inside of the CSC file.
I have heard that there is another software that Samsung uses to flash their phones that I am guessing is proprietary.
Does anyone have experience with bypassing FRP on Android 10?
Is there any other software that would work besides Odin?
Is it safe to change the CSC so we can use a Samsung image that's less bloated? My version has O2 apps installed and I'd rather reclaim that space for something else, or at least not have to look at it.

I don't know about other regions, but in the USA region, I beleive the SIM card will set the CSC for you, and not allow it to change. In some cases, even that doesn't work properly (I had to return a phone because it wouldn't switch). Maybe you have more control in other regions or with Exynos phones...
Just tried the key combo and no dice, got a message that said 'that function is not supported' or something like that. I asked a question elsewhere here - what would happen if I were to just flash a different Android 12 firmware version on this phone? Right now, the phone is O2U, would I brick if I used XAA (US)?
I don't know what key combo you're talking about. As I mentioned, in the USA region, the SIM determines the CSC. What type of phone do you have (Exynos vs Snapdragon) as this could affect things as well?
If you flash a snapdragon ROM onto an Exynos phone, I imagine you're going to have problems. I don't know if that bricks it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

Yoooooo I'm going through same issue. Look you can flash any firmware Purdy much as long as the binaries are the same im trying to root a galaxy a13 5g from MetroPCS that only has two months activation in and its beating my ass. I was able to do some kinda unlock on it coz now it says device is corrupted dm-verity can't be trusted but I still don't have oem unlock displayed in developer options I've flashed t-mobile,Verizon,MetroPCS, and now I'm on Canadian firmware which is supposed to be unbranded but because MetroPCS has the network lock on it it hasn't mattered what I've flashed because I even had it XAA by flashing the a5150 csc tar file trying to root this funding piece of suit phone but to no avail.unless I get the network unlock icant get the bootloader unlock option, tried vbmeta image no verity no force encrypt every Magisk version boot image patched even tried different device with same chip and set up... impossible broski if you phone is network unlocked and you are able to unlock bootloader so you can bypass vaultkeeper/avb/secureboot/vbmeta/dmverity/prism.img....etc etc etc and with root access only then can you change and/or modify any part of a samsung device as far as my knowledge and experience goes

I have an s10 SM-G973N, It was rooted and running android 11.....I installed a stock rom(android 12) using Odin now my carriers are not being detect.
I tried pixel experience rom but the issue still remains.
Is there a way to get my carriers to work again?
Thanks in anticipation
It's only a matter of choosing the right CSC and flash CP. If you don't know your region code check if you can see something on download mode screen.
Here is a good explanation of the codes.
