Question errors in custom recovery - Realme 8i / Narzo 50

I did everything according to the instructions, unlocked the bootloader, then installed Magisk, then installed a custom recovery (RMX3151_11_C.13)

Need help!! Cant root Android 7.0 NBD91P

Hi all,
First of all i am not noob to flashing roms and kernels. I have been flashing rom/kernel since 2011 on different phones. But i never encounter this type of problem. On my N6 i cant get root on my stock rom(not debloated rom by tupac4u).I have tried different supersu zips(2.78, 2.78 SR3 and SR5) but no luck. What i did, went to recovery wipe everything except internal storage, reboot to bootloader, flashed latest factory image( which is NDB91P), setup my device, reboot into bootloader to flash recovery(because you loose twrp when you flash stock images), then flashed SuperSu (tried every versions) and i always get bootloop. Am i missing any step??

is there a way to install Magisk with TWRP on unlocked stock rom ?

I have a P8 Lite2017 PRA-LX1 no brand, unlocked, twrp 3.1.1, stock ROM
I've tried superSU, it works, but I wanted to use Magisk,
so I did a factory reset, unSU, and tried to install Magisk 15.3 and 14.0,
both gave me the error 1
"boot changed by software" and "boot partition too small" or something like this
on the net, I read that I need to install a stock boot ?? then someone install magisk via fastboot ??
I don't get it, I can't have twrp AND Magick ??
---
also, I even tried to install the "new" twrp-3.1.1-2-v2.5, after installing and rebooting, I still get the twrp 3.1.1-0 written on the splashscreen at the begin of twrp, is this normal ?

[SOLVED]TWRP on STOCK?

TWRP on STOCK?
For some reason, I cannot seem to boot into stock ROM after flashing TWRP. I have tried both 3.2.3.1 and 3.2.1.1, and it always boots back into recovery. I have only been able to boot without TWRP directly installed, and booting TWRP from computer.
No problem with installed TWRP with other ROMs.

I just went back to stock ProjectFI today using fastboot. After initial setup, I went back to fastboot to boot the 3.2.3-1-payton.img, then adb pushed both the twrp-installer-payton-3.2.3-1 and Magisk, installed them both at the same time and rebooted without incident.
EDIT: I used PAYTON_FI_OPWS28.46-21-12_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC
Thanks @johnjingle.
Not sure if it was because I had Magisk already installed first that was my issue, but flashing TWRP on a fresh boot image THEN flashing Magisk did the trick.

I can not have TWRP and custom ROM together

I'm struggling with my Xiaomi MI A2 to have a simple root.
I already got this with Magisk, but the problem is that when I try to install XPOSED, it goes into bootloop.
Many post say I have to have TWRP installed to achieve this.
But now I can not get both together: TWRP and custom ROM.
If I install TWRP, it erases the ROM; if I install the ROM, it erases the TWRP.
What should I do?

Losing Recovery after install Custom ROM

Hi,
I have the following problem.
I was able to install the custom ROM properly on my Mi9t pro. Unfortunately my Orangefox Recovery was deleted After the installation.
If I want to install Magisk now, I have to reflash the recovery first.
Do you have any idea why the recovery is deleted? Is there a way to prevent that?
Thanks in advance.

Your (custom) Recovery was really deleted?
Or replaced by stock Recovery
Who says that installation of Magisk requires custom Recovery?
Magisk documentation (Installation Instructions) - please find it on Magisk Github - certainly not.
Patch the boot.img and flash (it can be flashed by Fastboot, hence custom Recovery is not a must to have)
Hi,
it really gets deleted. My cell phone is then only in fastboot mode.
I am not interested in flashing Magisk either, but rather that recovery after an installation is no longer available. This makes installing updates more cumbersome.
I only have the problem when I flash a custom ROM. when I flash a MIUI ROM from xiaomi.eu Beta, the recovery is retained.
