Hi there,
Looking for some assistance to root on Lineage OS 17 for my S10. I had previously rooted my stock rom before installing the custom rom. However, I realized that Magisk is not registering on LOS. I tried to reroot via zip on TWRP with no success. Any ideas on how I can root again? Would I have to reroot on my stock rom again before installing LOS?
Thanks

I've just tried this but now my S10 is stuck on boot warning. Was I supposed to do a full wipe too?
Edit: Resolved now. There was a custom Magisk boot.img specifically for Lineage OS root

You will need to do a format/wipe, flash multi_disabler.zip then flash the new updated LOS rom, then Magisk.img
Below link for the updated LOS rom and Magisk .img
This is from the official LOS thread.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UdPbIbM3luYIiOdXMXb7raAnWLERjssh
beyond0lte folder is for S10E.

Oh I'm so stupid, I had seen the Magisk boot img in the files but ended up using another one... It seems to work now, thank you sooo much!!
It still cannot pass SafetyNet check (ctsProfile), I'll investigate that...
I had the same issue with lineage 17.1 in xperia z2 when using the latest magisk version 21.4 , solved by flashing an older version (magisk version 20.4).
I am trying root Lineage 18.1 on my s10. I have tried differtent magisk-files from TWRP, but still no root access.
What are the required files for 18.1 for Galaxy s10 and steps to get root-access?

Dude, thanks so much. I faced the exact same problem with my Z2, now it's running magisk just fine. You saved me a bunch of headaches.
Hello everybody,
I'm little outdated on Android things, so please excuse my stupid questions. But I want to be sure my process is OK.
I was on LOS 16.1 / TWRP / superSU and updated to 17.1 / LOS recovery / Magisk. After a LOS Update I noticed that I have no more root. I wanted to install Magisk root again via recovery and noticed I can't do that from LOS recovery. Is that normal?
To get back root my plan is to flash again TWRP (https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261695823), so I am again able to flash the magisk zip. Will this process keep my data an ROM as it is before? Is there any disadvantage? LOS recommends the LOS recovery. That's because I installed it...
Thanks a lot for your help!

what is your current setup? as long as you have OEM unlock, unlocked boot loader., you can just flash TWRP via ADB followed by magisk in general

Hello and thanks for your answer. Yes, it's OEM unlocked and unlocked boot loader. It's encrypted. But encryption shouldn't be a problem for that.
Thanks, Muralidharc22. All done!
Hello ,
I have a LG2 D802 with Android 5. I rooted it and i installed TWRP with LGG2-D80230d-OneClickRootRecovery.
Now I would like to install Lineage OS 17.1 and use magisk for my bank app.
I downloaded the zip file of lineage OS and i noticed that Lineage brings a boot.img.
I have questions and i hope that someone can help me to find answers.
1 - Does magisk work with the boot.img installed by LGG2-D80230d-OneClickRootRecovery and/or with the lineage's boot.img ?
2 - Does lineage OS need it's own boot.img ?. Does lineage OS will start if i keep my actualy boot.img installed by LGG2-D80230d-OneClickRootRecovery ?
Thanks.
I unlocked bootloader of my realme 8 pro device but i am not able to find twrp custom recovery for our device. If i install custom recovery then i can share factory img files for realme 8 pro device and also can share ota update package.
First of all, we need a recovery tree for this device

Finally Twrp has been released.
Thread '[RECOVERY] [12-0] [Realme_8_pro_RMX3081] [UNOFFICIAL] [3.7.0] TeamWin Recovery [12/12/2022] - Initial release' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-recovery-12-12-2022-initial-release.4529785/
Can i root realme ui 3 without installing twrp by following same method provided by stark using pre magisk patched boot image?
Anyone help
